Well. I may lose a few man points for this. But I admit that "Hope Floats" is my favorite movie ever. Sandra Bullock was outstanding. And the little girl who played Bernice was adorable. That opening scene where Sandra was on the talk show tears my heart out. And the scene where daddy drives away while Bernice is saying "Daddy, I'm going with you!" jolts me, too. What an awesome movie.

When I hear this song I can't help but think of that scene from the movie "Hope Floats" where Sandra Bullock dances with her dad who is suffering from Alzheimers. One of my favorite movies ever. Lots of funny scenes, but also lots of tearjerker scenes. Great soundtrack, too.

There are many people who have a hearing issue, and sometimes lyrics are mumbled. Being a nurse and also having a hearing deficit from my time in the Navy with all the loud machinery, I do it for those who have those issues. I apologize that it bothers you. However, I often post these great songs on my FB page and people who have never heard them often want to know the lyrics. Just ignore it, it obviously was not meant for someone who hears well and who has the good taste to listen to Bob Seger.

This song reminds me of me and my fiance we lost contact with each other for 28 years her and I dated from 1977 to 1980 I ended up getting a construction job laying brick she ended up working at a detailing car lot we wanted to get away from all the partying that we were doing and grow up a little bit more than what we was she ended up moving to Ohio State I went to Perry county Kentucky up in Appalachian mountains in 2010 I came down to Louisville Kentucky just to drive our old neighborhood see how much was changed on the way out of the neighborhood I end up stopping at a gas station to get gas she was in there first thing she did was push me and a lightly slap across my face the first words come out of her mouth was where the hell have you been we've been together ever since she's definitely my soulmate for the rest of our lives. How much it speaks for me, when I can't speak the words myself. That was a very touching day - and this is still one of my favorite songs, from this soundtrack. Absolutely beautiful.

My father was a huge Bob seger so I was born listening to his music. A lot of your music has given me strength and been there for me when I needed it. Which is quite and also brings me so much joy and memories of my dad introducing me to you. I found out after my father passed away that Bob seger and I have the same birthday. There are many people who have a hearing issue, and sometimes lyrics are mumbled. Being a nurse and also having a hearing deficit from my time in the Navy with all the loud machinery, I do it for those who have those issues. I apologize that it bothers you. However, I often post these great songs on my FB page and people who have never heard them often want to know the lyrics. Just ignore it, it obviously was not meant for someone who hears well and who has the good taste to listen to Bob Seger.

This song reminds me of me and my fiance we lost contact with each other for 28 years her and I dated from 1977 to 1980 I ended up getting a construction job laying brick she ended up working at a detailing car lot we wanted to get away from all the partying that we were doing and grow up a little bit more than what we was she ended up moving to Ohio State I went to Perry county Kentucky up in Appalachian mountains in 2010 I came down to Louisville Kentucky just to drive our old neighborhood see how much was changed on the way out of the neighborhood I end up stopping at a gas station to get gas she was in there first thing she did was push me and a lightly slap across my face the first words come out of her mouth was where the hell have you been we've been together ever since she's definitely my soulmate for the rest of our lives. What got us together was our very first Bob seger concert in 1977 thanks to him we will always be together cheers to you Bob seger

I love this song & the movie "Hope Floats"! It came out about the time I went through my divorce & decided to stay in my beloved home state of Kentucky. I finally figured out all that glitters is "not" gold!! After all, how can you compare a bunch of bright lights with a worn old pair of cowboy boots & some of the most beautiful horses in the world? And who knows, perhaps love will find it's way back into my life & "stay" this time!! Until then...cowboy boots, horses, and Kentucky Lake it is!
