bro SAMEEE? but on the flip side apparently they "fixed" the "4th wall break" astarion would do during some dialogue greetings and the angle is no longer possible to get. im glad i got 30+min of footage that i needed for wallapers and stuff lol

It makes it a lot more obvious how bothered Astarion is by the situation. I like that. Not just the camera angles, but both Astarion and Araj look even MORE expressive. And the characters in this game have already set a standsrd for expressiveness. Also, awwwww, does he look even happier to kiss your Tav? 🤭❤️
huh--i just realized i never asked him "why" ive always just immediately told Araj "no", because no meant no and it didnt matter why. but i kinda like how he shows his appreciation in the scene if you ask him why first--and you still get the approval. i like this !

They would also do magical experiments with illithids and their blood, which explains why Araj's blood is corrupted. 2. House Oblodra is considered a deceased house, for a few reasons. One being the fact that the soldiers of House Oblodra would play a game called "Khaless" which involved players levitating themselves over a magically darkened and silenced area over the Clawright (which was essentially a deep, dark chasm in the centre of Menzoberranzan) and whoever left first (either by giving up or falling) would lose. Unfortunately, most players would mistime their levitating spells and fall into the Clawrift. Most of the time there were no winners because every player would perish. The other reason is during the Time of Troubles, House Oblodra tried to fuck around and find out and started to attack the other drow houses. Yvonnel Baenre (House Baenre being the strongest drow house and the matriarch being the ruler of Menzoberranzan, also Minthara's house) summoned a massive tentacle from the Abyss and swept the entirety of House Oblodra into the Clawrift, effectively destroying the house.

It basically discusses how House Oblodra used to do magical experimentation with Illithids which could have possibly corrupted her blood. After you choose this option, Astarion says it makes sense and then states that he has enough mind flayer in his head he doesn’t want it in his stomach as well.
My main Tav is a half drow and I didn’t get this… I know half drows aren’t accepted in a full drow society but I feel like some of the drow options should still be available! Like his half drow side had to come from somewhere so why would he not know about some drow things? Maybe this specific dialogue about House Oblodra would be too niche but I think I saw only a very small amount of half drow specific dialogues so it’s kind of disappointing:((

Because half drow are pretty much never raised in the Underdark without either being enslaved or killed outright for even being a mix, it makes sense that they would not be familiar with House/Matron culture.
@@veracalli8387 I’m on my second playthrough now (same Tav, but evil this time) and I’ve been getting a lot more half-drow dialogue options. There was even one about the underdark being my home. I wonder why I didn’t get that last time. I doubt that I’ll get anything with the drow chick whenever I meet her again but who knows.
I wish they would let us say "You know you CAN actually say 'no', right?" when he says "How could I say no?" especially five minutes after he just tells Tav he doesn't know how to say no...
I JUST was noticing this not 5 minutes ago when I had this interaction with romanced astarion and my light Urge. It was wonderful. It just shows how openly he is like she's freaking RANK not 2 ft from her.
damn the way Araj treats him like an object not even talking directly to him at first and sneering at Tav saying he's his own person... that was cruel. And it's so liberating in the aftermath scene
The romance scene after Cazador keeps messing up for me and a good bit of his lines cut short. It worked fine before this patch. I do like the flow of some of the updates but they really messed up some stuff.

I had the scene with the drow 2 days ago, but after going to camp I don't get the confession scene, just an alternate one where he talks about how he is no longer a slave and doesn't need to use his body for these kinds of things anymore. I didnt make him bite her, also have excellent approval and a relationship with him in act 1 😭😭😭 After that I get the dance scene with Wyll and by the next morning Gale is the one that is pissed off asking me to choose between he or Wyll, wtf Idk whats happenning, can anyone help me plsss 😭 This game's relationships manage to be almost more complicated than real life lol
3:02 is a terrible angle if you ask me. It's also a bit more glitchy at 0:12 and such. The expressions are better but I don't get why they keep changing the camera angles in scenes that don't really need it. They almost always make them worse. One of my favorite scenes from Astarion from EA is the one where he says "I thought the two of you would just flop about like dying fish". He does a hand motion mimicking flopping fish there, but in the launch version they zoomed in on his face preventing you from seeing his hands at all. In general most scenes from EA were changed for the worse imo. But even now they keep changing the launch versions with each patch and they only really change the scenes that were perfectly fine, while ignoring the ones that could actually be improved upon.

I've had the diaglog issue happen a couple of times. I go back to my last save and try again. But, make sure you save right before you initate dialog.
