I love DIY watches. I bought 2 of them and even though I have some expensive time pieces, those 2 watches are the ONLY two of their kind in existence because I built them :)
Thank you Marcus for another great video! I love to work on my watches but to put those hands…I made a mistake when changing the battery of a watch that wasn't even mine, it belonged to my mother-in-law. I noticed that the hands of the clock, including a very small one for the seconds, were falling on the glass inside!!! I worked, sweating profusely, for about 30 minutes. With a toothpick, I managed to press the three tongues into position. But I have never had such emotions while working with a watch. I noticed how easy it is to damage even starting from the change of a trivial battery! 😅
Hi Marcus that is a fantastic idea I've customised a casio world time I bought the parts from skmods and added colour filters to the display that was a didgital watch im really liking the idea of doing a automatic watch thanks for taking the time showing us this take care
I would be remiss if I did not tell you. From what I could see you did build a quality watch. But it’s not a Swiss watch. That is a seiko japanese movement but a movement known for its outstanding quality one that will serve you well for a very long time. Enjoy 🙂
The NH 34A is an automatic movement based on the Seiko branded 4R34, and made by TMI a subsidiary of the Seiko Group Corporation. If we want to be OCD about it. :) It also made me laugh when DIY said "..if you don't want to buy a bunch of random parts from ALIEXPRESS (China)" because with the exception of the caliber that is exactly where their parts came from, China. LMAO
These companies always claim their product has "premium parts" or "real (insert country here) parts" compared to the rest but then actually don't. It's all marketing. This is true for all of those "assemble your watch yourself" kit sites. IMO you're better off buying the parts yourself, perhaps from a modding site.

I always thought the NH series movements were made in Japan, not Switzerland
Yes, it is a Seiko NH34a, GMT complication
Outstanding video.I have to go with the AMZWATCH, especially with that green dial as my favorite
Thank you Marcus! Super cool idea and have added their gift card option to my Christmas list!
Love that you started painting warhammer
I’ve been a long time painter, in secret 🤫

You’re very welcome. Thanks for sharing and for the positivity.
great video.. yhe green plasteline is used to remove any dust from the dial by sticking it on the surfaces of dial and glass.

Do all of those tools come in the box?
They do. Everything I used in the video came in the box. It’s pretty great but expensive.
I used a steinhart Ocean One (Looks Like a Rolex Sub.)
Will have a look into it
