Very nice review! I own the A2 version and, I too, had issues with the scale material around the lanyard hole. I eased the sharp areas with sand paper and then buffed it to get the same shine as the rest of the scales. I own many Bark River knives and they are superior quality and craftsmanship. However, I’ve had to do some work on several of the knives scales for similar occurrences. These knives are hand finished and, in my opinion, sometimes require some customizing to fit the owner’s personal requirements.
But is it a great particle accelerator? I mean what if you are out in the woods and want to reverify the existence of the Higgs boson? I bet it would fail miserably! ....it even has the word "companion" in its name, why baton with it?
Dear lord sweet baby Jesus! This was great. Honestly out of all the jx6 reviews this was the absolute best. I think preparedmind101 needs to see this lol. Good job brother, you sold me on the knife and i already have it haha. Amazing knife right? Agree on the sheath and yup lanyard hole area definitely has room for improvement. I sanded the edges down just a little and it's perfect now. It's definitely my edc that I can not switch out with anything esp now that I have the custom kydex sheath.
SC bushcraft backwoods Thanks man! It crossed my mind as I was uploading this video Chris might eventually see this, he seems to pop in on some of those reviews. It was fun to make thats for sure. And yes after I have it tideyd up a bit she will be perfect. It really is an amazing edc blade. 9.75 out of 10... shit should have put that in the review. But yeah I wanted to try some new ideas and thats where this came from.
Jack FarmBoy heard that! And yeah your right, he does pop up randomly. I'm right behind you on the different types of testing. Just wood type test does get....kinda...well boring after a bit. I have something woodland warrior suggested i get on the way. I plan on slaying food zombies with it lol. But anyhow jx6 is definitely a home run but will most likely be my last bark River. Not many other bark Rivers I like. But hey Good video brother.
Great review, hubby wants one too, his question about knives or all sort of secateurs etc...the one we can get here, very quickly lose their sharpness etc...we are sick of buying them works good for a bit and then....is there a way to sharpen them or is there any good brand you can recommend? Take care
CC's World AUSTRALIA sharpening and maintaining knives is part of owning them, and crucial! I have a video on an affordable, easy to use sharpening system on my channel if you're interested.
CC's World AUSTRALIA Hey CC , so I know that they make some of those with changable blades now. Something to consider. And I did a little digging around and had seen this online recommended by a few folks, www.amazon.co.uk/Multi-Sharp-ATT1601-Multisharp-Sharpener/dp/B0001OZH7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351789613&sr=8-1 I have never tried it but the things I read on it seemed positive. I hope this was helpful. For knives I might reccomend something else.
Then you Jack, then they do sharpeners, great! i will ask my local Bunnings , those in the UK they don't deliver to Australia but now at least i know they do exist...thank you, i suppose just as important to have good knives is to keep them in good shape. take care and thank you for info. Cheers
"If you can skin a boot, you can skin a buck!" Lol. What's your exact address? I'm sending a ninja to collect my knife. Lol jk. Awesome blade and review man
Woodland Warrior Thanks man, I appreciate it. I thought the reference would be appreciated by a few. It actually is hard to do. Maybe ill let ya review it after I get her touched up, must return lol
I'd love to but I still have 4 more weeks in the brace before I can start the heavier part of the physical therapy and start getting on the trail again. My advice, don't dislicate a knee. It screws you up for a long time. I had to sell all but 6 of my knives and a bunch of my gear just to pay the doctor bills and catch up on the car bill while I was out of work. Knife wise I literally have grandpa's old Western L66, the Steel Will Dakangel 900, the Esee Junglas, Spyderco Paramilitary 2, Steel Will Cutjack, and my CRKT Keramin neck karambit. Multitool wise all I have left is the Leatherman Signal. Gotta get all my knives and gear built back up now. Oh well. Shit happens. Lol
Nice work on the JX6 review. I can tell you spent a lot of time on it, I watched it twice because I didn't want to miss anything. It was worth the wait for this review. I hope everything is going good with your job and that recent promotion.
+The Knife Beater Things are going very well, im adjusting to office life ( new atmoshpere for me) fairly well. Thanks for stopping by friend hope all is well up there🖒.
Yeah man petes a pretty cool guy, hes helped me quite a few times. Advanced knife bro reviewed this exact one i sent to him to review a few months ago. Its got a a bit of youtube history wrapped in it and one my favorite peices.
ogenmatic Yeah actually the verbal abuse is the part that I personally enjoy the most.... that and the intro. Im glad you enjoyed it ( trying new stuff), I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching man. See you soon 🖒
that_one_guy98 Its one of those things you didnt realize you needed until you had it. It fits so well into the edc desination and handles alot of things very well. Highly recommended.
Thanks bubba, this was my first "real" production video. Talk about a throw back lol...seems ages ago. I had 27 subs i think when it came out. Im proud of what i made with what little equipment and editing software i had to deal with. Glad you enjoyed it.
Fat Man Outdoors Yep it is almost a perfect edc blade. On the famr generally speaking yes, but every situation has its " blade". My main reason honestly is its harder to lose a knife attached to you than a folder which you might set down and walk away from or accidently drop.
That verbal abuse was horrific... I had to look away. Awesome review, I'm still a little jealous because I thought I was a shoein for this, but you did an amazing job & I think Pete chose very well.
EDC with Aaron Thanks man, much appreciated. Its funny I kinda threw the verbal abuse in at the last minute, whats a good video with out a zhunter reference. Lol
+ThisIsAPrettyLongUserNameWhyTheFuckWouldHeDoThatSoThatEveryoneWouldThumbsUpIt Glad you were able to take something away from the video, appreciate you watching and stopping by. Hope all is well friend.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I kinda let the creative juices flow on this one. Wanted to have one that wasnt like all the other but still be a real review. Appreciate you stopping by again

Nice man! Now to go watch Cedric's multi video saga. That boot needed meat though.
Stopping by on oldie here.
I need to skin more boots.....im getting a LT to review soon so perhaps it will happen.
Couldn't agree more.

relly enjoyed this review! keep up the great work!
Junkyard Fox Hey man!, thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it. Im glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoy your work as well.

Steven Robertson I pay him off in meowzsnaks to funnel petes veiwers my way. Thanks for coming by man, much apprecited hope you enjoyed.
Jack FarmBoy lol. Looks like great channel. I can thank Basil - albeit through bribery and corruption -for that !
Steven Robertson Many thanks I appreciate it. Still very new so im still working out some kinks. But ill try to keep good stuff coming.

Woodland Warrior Sorry brother... Well when your ready to get back into the swing of things let me know. Hope everything else works out a bit better.
I like that knife! Now I want it.

Whoa, didn't know it was from Cedric and Ada! That's awesome!

@@jackfarmboy Did you ever send it to ApostleP by chance? I've got a Bravo 1.5 with a blunt tip I thought of sending him.
That verbal abuse was brutal! Surprised the steel didn’t just melt.
Great review & very entertaining. Well deserved ‘win’ from that Aussie fella.
ogenmatic Yeah actually the verbal abuse is the part that I personally enjoy the most.... that and the intro. Im glad you enjoyed it ( trying new stuff), I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching man. See you soon 🖒
Nice job on the review! This knife may have to go on the wishlist.

Just now finding this... the whole production is freakin awesome!!!
Thanks bubba, this was my first "real" production video. Talk about a throw back lol...seems ages ago. I had 27 subs i think when it came out. Im proud of what i made with what little equipment and editing software i had to deal with. Glad you enjoyed it.
Does skinning a boot count as stroping?
That seems like a perfect EDC fixed blade. I imagine fixed blades come in handy more than a folder on a farm.
Fat Man Outdoors Yep it is almost a perfect edc blade. On the famr generally speaking yes, but every situation has its " blade". My main reason honestly is its harder to lose a knife attached to you than a folder which you might set down and walk away from or accidently drop.
I am sorry that it took me so long to watch this. You killed it. Entertaining, witty and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
wedo4444 Thanks wedo no worries, im glad you liked it. I really enjoyed making this.
Lol
Shocked the tip broke off so easy on a BRK
I was apprehensive about this at first cause of the size but in this case it really does punch above its weight. Thanks for the review.
+ThisIsAPrettyLongUserNameWhyTheFuckWouldHeDoThatSoThatEveryoneWouldThumbsUpIt Glad you were able to take something away from the video, appreciate you watching and stopping by. Hope all is well friend.
great review!
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I kinda let the creative juices flow on this one. Wanted to have one that wasnt like all the other but still be a real review. Appreciate you stopping by again
