Don’t ever be afraid of looking dumb… it’s a small bump in road and before you know it you’ll perfect it with consistency. Everyone has a learning curve. And think of your end goal whether it be just to be healthy or have a beach body. Each time you show up you’re one step closer to your goal. You got this💪🏼
Same!!! It is much easier to load the bar, you don't have to worry about balancing the barbell. My gym only has the heavy 20kg barbells that I struggle to carry even without loading. You have to load 2 20kg plates if you want to get under it easily which equals to 60 kg That is way too heavy for me. Smith machines get a lot of hate for I don't know why but it is a lifesaver for me😅
Love this so much, I hate setting up the traditional way especially when you don’t have someone to help you. I’m going to try this on my next workout, thank you 🙏🏼 ❤️❤️
I love ur voice and your energy. I’ve been doing hip thrusts for a couple years and just started doing it on the smith and it’s so much better. But it’s almost always taken at my gym 😢😂 everyone loves it.
Thank you so much i was able to do it , altho i asked a gym instructor but she wasn’t much of a help … thanks to you i really was afraid to do it and i felt so dumb
Thank you, My new gym doesn't have hip thrust machine and i never tried the Smith machine before so i didn't know what to do.. i will try this soon. thank you!
Thank you so much. I only done it with the free bar… I was at my school gym and they had this machine but didn’t know how to use and didn’t want to empress myself 😂
I’ve been doing hip thrusts for a couple weeks now and since the weight is getting light for me, I’ve been putting on more weights. That being said, I’ve leaned my hips back and it caused me to use my lower back. Do I not put the weight all the way down?
Do you ever find you have range of motion issues, i.e. you can't get your butt low enough to the ground when using a smith machine? I feel like it hits the bottom stops before I get all the way down.
I’ve tried this set up today. This was my third time giving it a go and I really love it. However I realised today my butt doesn’t touch the ground. I guess because of the bench height. I filmed myself today and realised I’m lifting my hips to meet the bar before I even start, does that matter?
Do you have any suggestions on how to do it, if the smithmachine you're using have like a "buffer" at the bottom, so that the bar won't reach all the way to the ground?
You can add a box under your heels (but then you’d probably have to use a taller elevated surface for your upper back) So 12”box under heels and 24” box for upper back
Normally it lets you move the brackets that stop the bar from falling all the way down. You can see in her video the metal handle sticking out has been moved all the way down those are adjustable.
My gym has stopper on them smith machines and won’t go low😢 I asked the staff how to adjust them low, but he don’t know how to take off those stoppers. Howww 🥺
Because of this i had the courage to do this exercise (i was nervous cuz i didnt want to look dumb & didnt know how)
I hear ya! I was the first one at my gym today so I asked the girl at the counter how to do it lol

I have been so scared to try hip thrusts in the smith thinking ill mess it up... Until now! Thank you!!!
Love this so much, I hate setting up the traditional way especially when you don’t have someone to help you. I’m going to try this on my next workout, thank you 🙏🏼 ❤️❤️
The traditional way is a pain… I’ve been doing hip thrust like this for the last two years.. won’t go back!
I know it's true, no one helps you, you feel insecure and you prefer to skip the exercises and not do it. But this video really helps a lot
thank you!!! i was scared to use the smith machine before this tutorial but today i had the bravery to try it for the first time!
That’s awesome. Glad I could help!

Thank you so much for this video, I was trying to avoid this exercise because was difficult, but now that I know another technique, I will try that.
Thank you, My new gym doesn't have hip thrust machine and i never tried the Smith machine before so i didn't know what to do.. i will try this soon. thank you!
You can do it!
Thank you for this tutorial, it is weird when you not sure if you set up right. This is perfect Sis🙏🙌😇💪💪
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Thank you very helpful! I normally use barbells, this is great
Agreed !
Keep using barbells. Smith machine is not good for your body.
This is not true
@@falconheavy595 absolutely false
I enjoyed the video! I always have trouble setting it up! Thanks 👍
Love this! Smith machines make everything so much easier 😍
Thank you so much. I only done it with the free bar… I was at my school gym and they had this machine but didn’t know how to use and didn’t want to empress myself 😂
If you are on the shorter side like me put a step board under your feet with this set up. Trust me it makes everything better.

How I love people who get straight to the point 🥹

Try elevating ur heels

Thank you for this, I just stated using this at my local gym. Do you use any padding for your hips when using your working weight?
Yes get a foam pad
Wonderful
Training for over a year but I only recently started doing hip thrusts on Smith machines
Game changer!!
Great idea... Thank you very much...

You’re very welcome! Glad you found it helpful!

Could this be done on the opposite side of the bar?
Excellent demo 🎉
Thank you, much easier setup
1000% it’ll save you more time!
My gym has stopper on them smith machines and won’t go low😢 I asked the staff how to adjust them low, but he don’t know how to take off those stoppers. Howww 🥺
On my smith machine it just stops at the bottom and I can't get the full range of motion😢
Yesss some of them are like this unfortunately!
Great video. Thanks!
Thanks, it exhausts me setting up the traditional barbells.
Agreed!
that's the goal of going to the gym, right ?
@@falconheavy595 to optimize every single movement pattern…. No
Nice
is that a blink gym i seeee fellow trainer?
Thank you
When I do this I get back pain
You make me happy and smiling your du,per kool
Thank u sm!
Some places lock higher than that so you can't get any depth
yes!!! i tried to do these on the smith machine at my gym and the safety locks make it to where it doesn't go low enough to rest on my hips :(
Hip thrust on lying hamstring curl ??
wow
nice show
🥰
Why do so many gyms have their smith machines backwards, it really is terrible! 😖
