I just looked it up in the Australian Fish Guide. The fish in question is a Broad Barred Spanish Mackerel. Other names are Grey, Tiger and just plain old Broad Barred Mackerel. I was out at my local spot this morning. Not so pleasant a day today, but the fish are already wet and a little rain shouldn't bother them. Regardless, I came home empty handed. I'm waiting on a chance to head over to Bribie to try for Tailor. Need to baptise the new Alvey Stealth rod and 65C reel and a nice Tailor would be a good start. :-)

@@fishingwarriorz Yes, looking forward to trying it out. I don't want to use it in my area, because I would look a right clown being the one with the surf rod amongst the forest of estuary rods :-D. Keep bending those rods.
The best i have caught 🤣. The lure is just a Jarvis Walker branded Chrome Slice metal lure from Kmart! I bought some coloured shiny tape from the craft section in kmart also and just put my own coloured tape on it 👍
