I want you to review this 👉🏻 ALSEYE M120D Plus CPU Air Cooler.
If you get time, please do a B650 update! Gigabyte Aorus Elite and Asus Strix models have launched and both look to be top tier price to performance!
Aorus Elite has a ton of connectivity and decent audio. For $100 more, the Strix is ATX, PCI 5 on storage and GPU, premium codecs.
uh oh I think the animation around 0:52 has an alignment issue where the r is visible before it slides in
Oops I just bought my parts (7600x and 6800xt) and got way overkill ram. I got 6000 speed 32 gigs 32cl ram because it was on good sale at 175 USD instead of the usual 225 dollar ram for that spectrum
I currently can't recommend a jump to AM5 just yet as IMO DDR5 & PCIE Gen.5 need to mature more in say a year or two and only then, will I be more tempted to do a full platform upgrade along with a possibly new GPU?...for now I'm keeping my AM4 rig relevant by just picking up a 5800X3D which I initially bought for $389 but, was able to get price matched at Micro Center for B&H's $329 price, pairing it with my existing EVGA FTW3 ULTRA RTX 3080ti GPU for which this should buy me those two years or more before needing to upgrade again ;)
haven't watched this video yet but i've been watching your channel for a few days because i want to build a pc and so far you have answered every question i've had, this channel should have way more subscribers keep up the good work, thank you!
tbh if a channel has more subscribers then less people would be answered if they ask something in the comments tbh but yeah i agree jason is a great man
So glad you found us! Welcome to the channel and so glad we can help!
We try to keep up as best we can! (;
I’m so agreed with you guys. I used this man’s advices for AM5 motherboard. Now I’m waiting for the delivery: Ryzen R7 7700x, 32 GB DDR5 6000 mhz (yeah I’m a maniac, could go with 5200 instead), MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WI-FI. Costs smth like 884 dollars (RUB doesn’t have I great time now so I’m not sure what is the price in $). Considering prices in big russian electrics shops this is the great price. Thank you PC builder! I’m so appreciate! 😊
Right? He's one of the best
I just want to thank you for helping me on my first build. I've watched your videos and saw everything I need. Now, I'm really happy with my build. Ryzen 5 5600x 3060ti.
Thanks for fulfilling the viewers’ request for the AM5 builds ❤
Jason, I absolutely love your content. I'm in the process of planning my first PC build in 15 years and your videos are, by far, the best source of information I've found. Keep up the great work!
Love to hear it, glad you've found it so helpful! And good luck with the build! Depending on the CPU you choose, we have Build Guide videos that'll help ;)
I have been gaming on a Alienware alpha I3 for years now. Your videos have informed me so much on the little details as a new PC builder wouldn't know until it's to late. I want to thank you for being that dude that just explains it in a way that clicks. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! It really means a lot to us. So glad we could help and hope you keep enjoying the content!
there is always something new i learn from these videos, definitely one of the most informative channels out there
Glad to hear it!
Thanks Jason! This swayed me to go with the AM5 instead of the AM4 5800x3d...surprising how much it has held its value and your video made me think more long term for my gaming needs. Cheers sir!!
Thank you for making this build guide, I've saving up for a while and until I finally got to lock in most of the parts I'm buying, the ram and MOBO were the harder parts to know which ones were the right ones
Glad I could help! Best wishes on your build!
Very good video, Jason. I'm looking forward to the 7900xtx and 7900xt benchmarks coming next week, and OFC, your video about them. Have a great weekend, man!
Me too!!
Have a great weekend Thomas!
Thanks for consistently keeping us informed!
You got it! Thank you for watching (:
He really is a walking encyclopedia for information. The amount of information he packs in one video is simply amazing.
This was a really helpful, clear video. Thank you
just watched few of your videos, amazing work! what an awesome level of details. thx!
Glad you enjoyed them! Thank you for watching :)
Superb video yet again Jason (& your wife ofc :) Keep up the awesome work!
That's so awesome! I've been watching your videos and almost built this EXACT build before you released this video during the Black Friday sales! I went with the MSI Mech RX 6750 when it was $360, and the Oloy RAM you talked about. My power supply was a discounted Rosewill 850w gold, and I went with the AK620 (a little overkill but it keeps things VERY cool). Nice video!! Thanks for keeping us informed and helping me build a solid PC.
This couldn't come at a better time for me thank you for the great video. Planning on building a completely new system with the new amd 7900xtx on Tuesday so this really helps
Still saving for a pc but I still enjoy watching these, getting updated with the good stuff and prices
Always love your videos Jason brother. Very educational for my young children. Thank you Jason
Love the way you break down by CPU and the choices that work with them.
Thank you! So glad its helpful!
Thanks for this video. I really needed it
Great video, Jason. All the best to you and family during the holidays.
Same to you Brough! So glad you enjoyed (:
Thanks for the great information , Jason and Mr.Puma...
Incredible content man! Thanks a lot 👌👌
you explains things very well 💪🏽💪🏽
That's great to hear! Glad it was helpful.
I went for a 7600x gaming build over black Friday, glad to hear it's your gaming recommendation :-) your videos have been invaluable, thank you 😊
I like the video before I even watch it. I know what to expect, which is the best and most informative, which you always are. Thank you for this channel!
Thank you for this build video Jason, you are awesome! I am going AM5 soon so I've been trying to figure out which CPU/RAM/mobo combo would go good with my 3080. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
I went 7700x with corsair vengeance 6000 on the asrock x670e pro rs motherboard and the corsair icue h150i elite cooler with corsair rm850 psu. So far running flawlessly with my 3080. Been built for about 12 days now. Used a lot of Jasons videos to help me make my decisions. Good luck with your build!
Thanks Jason. Great info as always. You are the best.
Thanks fellow Jason!!
Great video! You are like the dad that I never. Had that gave me tips on building a pc. Way ahead of his time. I hope I can share that moment with my kids.😊
So glad you enjoyed! And more than happy to help, thanks for watching :)
Sure love the “I’M JASON!” Intro. Brightens my day even when I’m bummed. Every time
You’re the hero I never thought I needed. Thank you for your service.
Finally! thanks Jason
I was eagerly waiting for this video.
Hope it was helpful! (;
This one is real interesting. Im planning to build a 0c and youre channel gave me so many good info. The 7600x is in my ranhe due to future upgrade also. Will build this in jan 23 hopefully prices will drop more for the parts. Thanks for this video for sure
Thanks for the updated info on the AM5 platform. Looking at a 7700X system in the future.
From italia, nice job!! I really like your hard work and the way you give all the possibile solution or configuration with a substantial explain is perfect! happy new year guys 2023 coming !
Hello Italia! So glad you are enjoying the content and Happy New Year!!
This is a really informative video. I'm planning on building a 7600x system. Do you believe that the vrms of even the b650 motherboards will be future proof for next generation cpu upgrades? I'm looking at the B650e-f at the moment
Curious how you feel about the MSI PRO B650-P board. Seems like a really solid board (though a little pricey) if you want WiFi 6E and good audio built in.
so much info, i have to watch it many times
Thanks for another great video Jason! 👍👍
So glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching
You've become my go-to YT on PC related topics. I hope you realize how incredible you and your channel is!
We really appreciate it, thank you so much for watching! Hope you keep enjoying the content!
Pretty pawesome content my man
Love your down to earth recommendations. So many water loops and AIO builds out there and the prices are getting out of control! Ty
Thank you, glad you found this one useful! And thanks for watching!
Hey Jason, thx for all the info and help from all the videos you provide, it's helped me substantially over the years, keep on keeping on.
(PS: Just a guess but, you look a bit sick my friend, hope you feel better soon =)
Nice video. Good build guide.
Thank you John!
Great video. Just finished upgrading my pc last week; 7600x with a 3080ti. Based on your advice, I think I over spent on my ram; luckily still within the exchange window. Thanks for the info
@@tilapiadave3234 that's a great combo tho
Incredible video mate you've earned a sub
Thank you so much for the sub! Glad you're enjoying all the content!
great video Jason! thanks......
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching :)
Hey PC Builder, thank you for helping people chose the right parts for a PC :)
What Cooler would you chose for a 7900x?
I'm glad you included the Gskill Flare X5 kits.
That's the one that micro Center has been using with their promo of buying a 7700x or higher and you get the 32gb ddr5 kit for free.
Great info
Thanks for cluing me in on the audio chipsets! Moving from Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite to Pro.
Thanks for watching. Glad we could help!
Great video and very informative. Thanks for sharing!…
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
Great Video as always 🙂
Thanks!!
İ did not attention audio codec before thx for details!
I upgraded some older AM4 computers with various Ryzen 5000 series chips. Considering my son's computer originally had a Ryzen 1700 originally. Buying the AM5 Ryzen 7000 series is a good value in my experience. So I am building a Ryzen 7700X with a 6800X video card. To play with and develop before counting on it as a workhorse.
Great video, wonderful cat.
love you man, so much info and positivity in your videos. keep up the good work
Thanks, so glad you're enjoying the content! Keep it positive! :)
Great video. Just finished a 7600x build yesterday with a 3060. I will just upgrade gpu in a few years.
Definitely needed this
Glad it was helpful!
I was going to go with am4 b550 5600x ddr4 combo
but after looking up prices for am5 b650 7600x ddr5 I decided it's worth to spend an extra 2-300$
won't build for a few more months so I expect price to come down even harder 😎👍
Can’t wait!
Hope you enjoy!
I spent so long looking for a video or videos that let me do this, and couldn't find anything. Got my parts in a list, and now this comes out
Hope its helpful!
Good video! I know you probably didn’t mention it because they don’t ship but if anybody happens to live near a Micro Center they have a great deal where you get 32GB of G.Skill Flare 6000 CL36 RAM for free when you buy a 7700X or up. That was enough for me to change from a 7600X to a 7700X in my build.
Damn thats a great deal i wish i had sellers that do that where i am from.
For the motherboards, I wonder if the cheaper lines will still be supported with the next couple zen generations.
Hey, I’m thinking about buying the MSI g273qf. And I was wondering what your thoughts on it were. Thanks in advance!
I got that one back in November and a XTX in Jan, ..
Happy ass, can't go wrong for gaming and general tasks, ..
Thanks!
Thank you for supporting the channel!
While OLOy’s product listings claim the modules have a “limited lifetime warranty,” a company spokesperson told us that it provides a brand new product as replacement during the first year, the same but a likely refurbished product as replacement in years two and three and, after that, you can send in your RAM but may have to pay for repairs.
Just built a 7600x with the Asus TUF ATX B650-Plus Wifi, 32 GB 5600MHz, 36CL RAM and MSI MAG CoreLiquid 240R V2 for 700 USD. Gonna pair it with a 7900 XTX or XT. Just got a Corsair 650W PSU tho so perhaps upgrade that or go with the XT GPU.
subscribed❤️❤️
Thanks for the sub!
Watched this just for the ram clarification, i bought a 6000 cl40 kit months ago but due to the gpus not being released til last month i decided to wait for the x3d so havent built the system yet. thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I just built a new PC with a 7600x on a Rog Strix B650E-F. Thanks for the content great video.
A lot of tech channels stress too much about small differences like memory speed or cpu temps; recommending you to spend more on it. This vid clarifies almost everything for a budget gamer like me, Thanks! ^^
So glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching
Hello! Excellent video, I love your videos, recently I was looking for motherboard options and I decided on the Aorus B650E to which I plan to install a Ryzen 9 7950x... I would like to know what you think of this configuration?
Which B650 you're talking about? Is it the elite model, the pro model, or the master level. I would suggest you the pro model or the master level for the motherboard.
Edit: I figured out the B650e master is the only B650 that is EATX. Its a really good board for the 7950x. You can also consider the X670e master if price isn't that much far.
Hi, I have a doubt regarding pc build that, with ryzen 7600x and Rx 6800 XT combination at 1080p, will there be any cpu or display bottleneck while playing any games?
Love you my dude
Much appreciated and much love! Thank you for watching!
I JUST Built A New System , Your Video Really helped Me! I Did Go For The worse audio Mother tho because i didnt know prior. It was Asrock b650 Pro RS White Edition But anyway I paired it up with a 7900XT (which i got a banger deal for 859$, Used for Review)
And I can tell You, I am loving it! big step up from 1660 super and ryzen 5 5600 :P
Congrats on your build!!! So glad we could help
I’m just happy I don’t have to go dive into buying a expensive cpu and gpu together I’m glad your here for this review I want to build a 7900xtx build for lower then 2500
Glad it was helpful!
Not mentioned is Microcenter routinely has been giving free DDR5 6000 16GB memory kits with Ryzen 7700 and up. Makes the upgrade from 7600 worthwhile when available.
Microcenter has ram included with the 7600 however its single channel
@@rexxlono even if its single channel you get it for free, you can buy the second dimm for less money than buying combo dimms and get the dual channel and more ram
best video i ever seen about 7600x thx you
So glad its helpful!
Love your videos and how you look at facts and don't get hung up on intel vs amd vs nvidia, etc. I have a question I've been trying to research and I'd love your opinion.
What are your thoughts on needing upgraded power stages for the newer chips? I've heard I need an 18+2 or even 20+2 to be able to support future AM5 chips if I want to go AM5 7600x for now, and upgrade in a few years when there's a big performance gain.
I've been an intel fanboy since I started gaming (25+ years ago) and my last build was in 2012. I'm looking to upgrade, and AMD now days is very appealing vs what it was back then.
I think jumping early on the AM5 wagon makes a lot of sense, so I can upgrade to a new CPU at the end of the socket lifespan and really milk the new system (since my last one lasted me 10 years with no upgrade, I'm not a always needs new kind of user.)
Love the motherboard recommendations. Motherboard shopping is the worst part of building a new system because there are huge price differences and the only obvious differences to me are wifi and USB connectivity.
Glad we could help!
If you're looking to build a new system today, there's really no reason not to go with AM5 simply because you have excellent performance today and a good upgrade path for the next few years. The only exceptions I can think of are if you're on a super tight budget (in which case AM4 is great value) or you wish to run specific software which prefers Intel CPUs (Adobe Premiere maybe? I don't know for sure, since I use DaVinci Resolve).
Oh, didn't think of Intel vs AMD when it comes to using Adobe Premiere... is this a concern? Anyone know?
@@ChonkTek Intel does a bit better in that side.
Your videos are amazing my friend.
Thank you so much, we appreciate it. And thanks for watching!
Great video, just got the 7600X and B650 control. Was looking for what else to put with it since I'm new to using AMD. Hard to find shit for the AM5 in terms of pairing for my lazy ass. Thanks man!
Glad we can help!
How did I not know about this channel? Very well researched and full of great advice. No off remarks that other channels make (intentionally or not) that often just enable trolls and fanboys. Just great overall advice and breakdowns of hardware and points of interest for potential buyers!
Would just want make a small correction, both systems with quality RAM, 7700X is actually slightly ahead of thr 13700K as well. Overall, only 13900K is at most 2-4% faster than 7700X in gaming. While also being much more efficient (60-77W) in gaming load than any of the 13th gen K CPUs (13900K often pulls over 150W in gaming loads).
Also, you can cool the 7700X with a decent air cooler, for the i7 and i9 280mm AIO and up are pretty much a must.
Glad you enjoyed! And thanks for sharing!
Great video. I have a MSi B650 wifi version which I tried to use my Master Cooler cpu fan tower 212 and everything lines up but I can’t remove the back plate because it holds the cpu bracket case. What tower do you recommend for that type of motherboard? MSi-B650 AM5?
Thanks Jason for the Update on AM 5 Platform Prices; However, the Cost is still too steep for the 'Upcoming "Brian's Gaming PC" Build' so we're sticking/w AM 4! The savings on DDR4 vs DDR 5 Memory alone are Substantial! Let's not Forget we must Budget for a Very Good Gaming Graphics Card(Estimated max price: $700.00 Cdn.)
My current build is ryzen 5700x, 32g 3200 (4 8g sticks) ram, and 6600xt. With a 850 watt psu.
Very happy with my 7600x. I tested it a few times, and with my modest AIO it get to 6.04 GHz on two cores and 5.88 on the rest. A beast for anything that doesn’t use 7 or more cores… which is still almost everything in gaming.
Thanks for sharing!
Which motherboard is best for gaming audio like Call of duty search and destroy situations?
I just bought the Nvidia rtx3090. I was going to put it in a Ryzen 5800X3D. but based on what I learned here. I think I will sit on it and wait for the new 7600X3D and Am5.
Awesome Tipps so far you helped me Picking Up my PC coponents, but I have an question for the GPU is it worth waiting for the 7900 xt? Even If I dont get it the 6950 xt maybe gets cheaper. Thanks for the awnser in advance ps: sorry for the bad Englisch
I wish you lived in the UK. I love watching your videos, but the prices over here are bonkers. Still enjoyable to watch.
Glad you enjoyed! Yes I wish the prices were closer too
Nice vid!
(btw what mobo and case would you recommend for me? I have a 5600x, rx 6600, 2 x 8 gb ram (3600 mHz), and a Samsung 980 1TB NVMe M.2 ssd (I have a budget between 200 - 300))
Thank you Jason, im buidling a 7600x msi 6800xt z trio meshlicious pure gaming build.
For PSU, would you recommand a 750W Corsair SF750 or a new Thermaltake ATX 3.0 850W SFX for future-upgradability?
Thank you for the video as always!!! Helps a lot.
what do you think about the be quiet! dark rock 4 cooler?
For the audio codec, when using bluetooth does the audio codec come into play or no?
I’m glad to see that you decided to do a AM4 build considering that the prices are reasonable now, and that it can be upgradable so the motherboard can last for years to come with out having to replace it.
I have to say though that with the new 4000/7000 series GPUs they are releasing, there are some serious cpu bottleneck if gong on when trying to use 1440 or less graphics. I’ve come to the conclusion that trying to run 1080 on any of these cards regardless of the cpu is just a bad idea, but if your trying to play a game that is very heavy on the GPU and you want to run it at 1440, I am not sure that a 7600x or 7700x will be enough…. I think the sweet spot for CPU’s is the ryzen 7 series (ryzen 9 is over kill for just gaming). The 7800x is going for 348, so over 100 dollars more but may be worth it.
Also, I would definitely use an AIO with these new CPUs, those block coolers I think are too big and bulky to try and fit with these new GPUs and are ugly to boot. AIOs are much more attractive and are far more efficient in keeping the CPU cool! You can get one for 80 to 100 dollars, so not really that much more.
Hello, thanks for the info. I am looking to do a first build, and really first dive into real PC gaming. Regarding your discussion about CPU / GPU bottlenecking, is there a place I can get an in depth discussion to learn more about this? I'm trying to understand why the CPU will bottleneck at lower resolutions. When we say the CPU is going to bottleneck gaming performance at 1440p or 1080p, are we talking about frames per second? And are we talking about ultra high frame rate stuff, like 240 Hz / competitive arena? I'm currently looking at the 7600X / Radeon RX 6900 XT combination and looking for probably 1440p resolution...just want good performance for games like (first person shooters / World of Tanks / RTS (AoE4), Ark, etc), good FPS, don't need all the bells and whistles. I'm by no means going to be in the competitive scene. Also, was trying to learn more about AIO vs. air cooling, and seems like I might want to lean toward AIO, although my understanding is it's a higher learning curve as far as installation. I am a bit concerned about failure or damage to the system if I do something wrong. I am planning on taking my time to learn all the aspects of the build and do it right, in terms of cooling, air flow, cable management so I can make this thing last, and of course now that I've seen RGB lighting I may want to throw in some of that to make it look cool because why not when you're spending $1800+.
@@scottyballz6447 ive learned from watching a lot of UA-camrs that build PC’s professionally like Jason here, plus reading articles. I would suggest watching a bunch of installation videos, and try to find one that is similar to the build you want to go with. AIO is not complicated, it is just installing the fans on the radiator and the radiator to the ceiling of the case (that’s where most are installed). The AIO usually exhaust the outside the case while the front fans intake air. For the build you are going for, I would definitely use an AIO for lower temperatures, and it just looks so much cooler! I would go for three front fans that are set up to intake air, and I would get a case with a mesh on the front for optimal airflow. I personally also like the look of the case from the front where I can see the fans, instead of a plastic front blocking the view and airflow.
As for the type of gaming you are going for, 1440 is a great option that the 6900xt should be able to handle, though I would go for a ryzen 7700x for high end builds to avoid as much bottle necking as possible, and it could last you longer handling future games that may require more. The 7600x is still a great option though, especially if budget is a concern.
When talking about bottlenecking, I am referring to FPS. I’ve seen videos where high end cards like the 4090 get about the same or lowe frame rate at 1330 as 1080, which is a clear sign of bottlenecking, and the 1440 fps is closer to lower cards like the 4080 and 7090xtx. I’ve seen a lot of benchmarking videos, so If you google some you will see what I’m taking about. I do not think you will have a big issue with the 6900xt at 1440 bottlenecking, but a 6800xt may be a better option that will have less bottle necking issues at those settings, plus the price there is about a 300 dollar price difference.
Remember that 3080/4080/6800/6900 and up are all designed to run on 4K. Basically from my understanding, the stronger the card the more it wants to process, so asking it to process less such as 1440 or 1080 puts more pressure on the CPU. At the same time though, you want those high refresh rates of around 144fps for the kind of gaming you are looking at, which is why 1440 is necessary to get those frames and a high end card as well. I would look up the benchmarks for the 6080xt and 6090xt for the games you want to play and that will show you what you will probably get for those numbers. Keep in mind that those benchmarks are usually processed on a ryzen 9 or intel 9 CPU, so in your case since you will be lowering the resolution to 1440, I would try to find benchmarks that use ryzen 5 and 7 CPU’s so you can see the differences in how much the CPU is bottlenecked.
I hope this helps, and yeah I do not know of a good community to discuss these topics, or any topics for that matter these days.
Does CPU matter when it comes to streaming? I was able to get the 7900xtx and would like a CPU that will eliminate as much bottleneck as possible. Any advice?
At 0:40 you put 13600L instead of K
