In terms of networks that have on demand content on Roku I found that the CW app is probably the most cord-cutting friendly Network.I work second shift and I have found that sometimes when I come home from work just five hours or so after it was on television it is on the CW app
I would like to recommend "B-Movie TV" for those who enjoy lower budget vintage films. This channel is a programmed stream, and does not have on-demand programming. Parents should be warned that much of the content is adult oriented and air unedited. There are no commercial interruptions during movies, but there are quite a few promos that air between movies. Unfortunately they offer little in the way of programming guides outside of their Facebook posts. Another interesting free ON DEMAND channel with similar content is Vidmark. Again, parents should be advised that adult material is offered.
CBSN,ABC news & weather nation are available now on Roku in the UK and the UK version of Pluto TV is improving rapidly with lots of content from channel 5.
Unfortunately, as a avid tennis fan, the Tennis channel is not live in Stirr. Vue n YTTV is only ones that I found that has the live feed. Thanks for the video
I would love to see a Channel Comparison Chart of the various streaming services, updated at least once a week. I have noticed channels deleted or added at random times. I have noticed price changes. I have a specific selection of channels that I want to see, but no single streaming service offers them all. Is this feasible?
I believe it is. I have three versions of the roku. And they are available on all three. However I do not have the roku stick so I can't verify all versions.
I currently using spectrum tv app for live tv because I need it to watch football, but when football season is over i will cancel it. I already have espn+ and dazn for mma.
You have to be careful with ROKU channel the have a couple sites like tastemade and Shout in one area for free, but they offer it in their premium pay services also. Not sure why they have you pay for a service you can get for free.
if XUMO would fix their channel on Roku I would be happier, it auto plays and if you aren't done selecting the channel you want to watch it will interrupt you with commercials
It's not live TV it's 24/7 streams of collected programing. Roku is so pathetic it won't even allow free to air antenna channels ie nbc, abc, cbs, fox, CW, these are all free channels you can get with an antenna and roku users use to be able to access via ustvnow app (now band on Roku)
It isn't up to Roku to provide these, it is up to the providers. Roku doesn't own any of the channels you mentioned nor do they have any license deals with them. ustvnow was not legal within USA(supposedly it is licensed to give content to US citizens living outside of the USA) which is why it is banned. if you want live content from any of these providers without a OTA DVR you will need to contact those providers. good luck getting CBS to budge, they want you to buy CBS All-Access.

"USTVnow promotes itself as a service targeted at American expats and the military, offering “a wide range of live American channels to watch on their computer, mobile device or television" "Having USTVnow available via Roku helps to spread the free tier and drive business to the paid tier but, as of this week, that’s stopped happening. USTVnow has been completely removed from the Roku platform, much to the disappointment of customers. “I spoke to Roku support and [they told me] that USTVNOW is no longer available for Roku at this time,” a user in Roku’s forums complained. In response, a Roku engineer said that “Roku has been asked to remove this channel by the content rights owner”, which was as confusing as it was informative. USTVnow endorses the Roku product, actively promotes it on the front page of its site, and provides helpful setup guides. So, in an effort to get to the bottom of the problem, TorrentFreak contacted Roku, asking for details. The company responded quickly. “Yes, that is correct, the channel was removed from our platform,” Roku spokesperson Tricia Misfud confirmed. “When we receive a notice regarding copyright infringement we are swift to review which in this case resulted in us removing the channel.”

I like your channel. Appreciate the information . I just recently canceled my cable TV and am happy you explained all the free TV on roku.

Can I get Mobdro on a Roku box? Thanks!!
Good job finding some really good apps for Roku. I use almost all of them often. Plenty of content for cord cutters. Keep up your great work.
