I had a Roku player since 2010 and updated it in 2014 and now have a Roku TV and one in another room. I love it. Everything where you need it and no cable. Just antenna TV and then the streaming channels. You control what you watch. It's great.
Question, I'm new to Roku and just bought an outside antenna; but, it appears that the antenna channels that I receive are mixed in with the Roku Live TV. Is this correct? Also, with Roku I can receive CBS, NBC, & ABC - so why do I need an antenna?

I have a Amazon Firestick. It's over 3 years old and keeps restarting. I was considering getting a Roku TV and this video has convinced me to do so.

I've been following you guys for a while gearing up to "cut the cord" (watch via apps) I've learned alot.
I've had ROKU TV now for four years almost - it's a pleasure to have cut the cable - remember - cable USED to promise NO commercials (because you were paying for the content) but that quickly changed once the deluge of greed stepped in. So good riddance to bad rubbish!

I hadn't noticed the option to quickly jump to streaming channels. Very nice. I DID find the USB=DVR trick though. Works great.
Great video. I have the Roku stick for my living room. I just bought a roku tv 32 inch for bedroom. I love the Roku tv. The OTA channel guide is awesome! Wish my Roku streaming stick had this same function.

@@msaries5 it means over the air. It's like the cable tv guide where it shows the channel, what show is on and time of show. Roku stick pulls all of those free over the air channels into a nice guide. Its really nice!

How do I know which Roku app to put in my phone? In the App Store there are quite a few different Roku apps so I don’t know which one is the genuine Roku App
Can you do a show on the Roku Remote Control Pairing problem? How can you set your Roku streaming sticks 3800r and 3600 after you have a new internet provider ? Also can provide some solutions for Roku Remotes Controls that stop working with new batteries. Will not pair so I can set up my device and connect internet to Sony smart TV.

I sincerely hope you’re ready to only purchase Roku’s sound bar which in my opinion is ridiculous ... My personal bluetooth speakers work then disconnect ... I purchased my tv in May 2021 and regret it soooo much 👎

I just got my second Roku stream at and after setting it up, the remote will not turn on my tv but it performs all of other functions. Any idea what is wrong?

It would depend on your location, distance, and obstacles, such as nearby buildings and trees around you, from the broadcast towers.
Do you have to have internet to operate a Roku TV?
How do we watch DVDs on our TCL Roku? What wires do we need to hook up our Dvd player?
If your player has HDMI then connect to that. Look at back of player. If no HDMI then use whatever ports you have. The TV will have same ports. Walmart has just about any cable you need.

Great info, but presented far too fast for first timers. Remember, people who are new to this device have little if any idea how things work. It takes a little time to absorb everything. I personally ran this at half speed and it helped me understand and absorb the material much better. We are not all rocket scientists.

@@TeranRealtor no. only thing you need for the Roku to work is a TV + Wi-Fi at home. that's just an icon for folks who may have antenna & want to use the Roku remote as a universal.
I’m in the RV lifestyle now and am looking for a Roku TV that is DC powered. I currently have a 31” Insignia DC TV with a Roku stick powered from the TVs USB port. That setup works fine, but I’m looking to streamline the system.

Does anyone know how to retrieve the ROKU antenna icon? I have a ROKU Premiere + device, not a ROKU tv. I have an OTA antenna and I want to use the local schedule guide. I mistakenly deleted it. I've gone through settings, did a factory reset, system restart, searched the channel store and googled it, all to no avail. Always learn from Cord Cutters but, I've never seen this discussed. Thanks!
Agreed. I deleted it as well, as I saw no use for it at the time. Impossible to retrieve the app. Unfortunate.
i think you need to specify what Roku device you are giving advice on. I dont think my Roku ultra has HDMI ports

I am new to the Roku tv and I’m enjoying it. I also watch over Antenna. On one of my OTA channels, the info screen displays across the bottom ( ch, program name, etc) and I’m wondering why. It looks like the signal strength is low (it also displays) on that channel. Is this why, or is it something else? I have an Element brand tv.

I just bought roku 4+ express. Problem is that if I want to watch roku I must remove the cord lodged into my HDMI2 which disallows me the chance watch my cable channels which means I don't have simultaneous use of cable and roku. You do not have to pay anything to stream the free channels. There is no one time fee.

..., well, at this point , maybe you won't read this..., first of all , thank you, thank you very much for this video-helpers that you've made to help us, the new roku's owners... we, I , learned a lot, but... there's one little BIG huge problem thou... everything is very well explained and with expertise from your part, but, all those changes on the screen and selections are done by "one click", right ?, but, which button is doing the click on the remote ?, I know that it sounds stupid, I'm sorry, but we were following you watching the video and doing it on our tv with our new roku device, and it was a mess... we always clicked on the wrong key and ended on a very different page, we pause your video, rewind it, and try again, with a different key on the remote... and on, and on, hahaha ... it was laughable, !!! ... so, just a favor, if you can please, on your next videos, show your hand with the remote to the camera, so that we can see we're are you clicking as you speak/show explaining whatever the subject is... does it make sense to you ??... I have the TCL Roku 332. I don't have internet service, I bought this TV so I could broadcast my phone (note 5) to it. I had it working, then it quit. Select antenna it will scan digital channels and air channels, but you need to connect an antenna, my tv has a small antenna and it’s located by my bedroom window, so I watch live channels and others digital channels there’s is a lot of channels
