There really is nothing to miss lol.... There is more on TV since I got a Roku TV and cut the chord than when I was paying over 200$ a month for cable and complaining there was nothing on
Love Pluto.... There is no need for an antenna with it and if you don't have the Roku channel you are missing exclusive content that litterally comes with your Roku device.... Both these channels offer free cable shows and movies (newer movies as well as older movies but not too old.. like 90's and 00's.)
I use a friend's login ID for Dish to watch all the college football games on the ESPN app & Fox sports app. CBS makes you pay $6 monthly IIRC for the few games they carry on the CBS all access app. Saves me from ever needing a live tv app. Doing it this way for years now.
CBS Sports HQ would be my top free channel of the year. Its a lot like old school ESPNews. Also, out of all the free movie channels out there, Tubi seems like the best one to me.

Is there any way to watch hunting and fishing shows without cable? And I'm not talking about River Monsters. Haha! Trying to find bass fishing shows and hunting shows has been difficult without cable. These types of shows are the only thing I miss since cutting the cord.

Sony Crackle was just sold so there is no way to activate your subscription until the deal is done. The reason is because Sony crackle's website is gone. And I guess we won't be able to activate until they tell us via their app.
How can I stream UA-cam on Roku Express? I don't want the paid version UA-cam TV, just the regular UA-cam of user uploaded content. I have that feature available on my PS3; is it not available on Roku Express? Again, I just want the regular version of UA-cam; this one, the one I'm watching this video on from my computer.
Just add the UA-cam channel. UA-cam does not always work well with Roku (go figure as Google has their own streaming box). We use the go back button on the remote to get it to play right, but that does not always work.
I agree after trying a UA-camTV/Philo combo for a week trial. This gives us all the channels we would need. This would cost $56 per month. With Dish we pay $110. Now we would need to bump our monthly data use for internet which would increase that by $30 so we are at $86 by cutting the cable. That’s not a huge savings but if Dish continues to increase then we would see a better advantage. Now all that said I am in favor of cutting Dish right now. However many do not point out that cutting the cable leads to increased data usage and that costs money.
Sting Right. Nobody points that out but you find out when you go over the data cap every month. Try Toast.net. They have unlimited data if it's available in your area

@@bananapatch9118 if u can afford both, do both. but if can only afford one and you want blue bloods, some of Chicago PD, and walking dead, go to NETFLIX. im not sure if its on yet, but Blue Bloods is coming to Netflix sometime in 2019. Hulu is cool too (But I do not have Hulu Live Tv, so do your research on that service). If you have SPotify Premium, they have a special where Hulu comes free with it, but this special occured a month ago. Best of luck! Let me know how it goes!
Search on Google play store free app called "UK TV & RADIO" by Antonio Dimitri. Not sure if I spelled this app name correctly but developer's name will help you find it. You can stream content to device. Best way to do it free and legit without VPN. You can also go to iOS app store and find "GLOBAL TV CHANNELS INFO" by Online Global TV. Can air stream to device. Good luck. Check out "TodayIFeelLike" UA-cam channel for other ways to get what you need, and subscribe.
No. Canadian media laws are strict so we can't view 90% of what's out there (Ty CRTC and the Canadian govt). CTV hasn't bothered to create an app for Roku, only for Chromecast. It's a hit or miss app.

He is a small business and I guess you have to cater to your customers just as any business would. His numbers always show that 70% of his readers use Roku. Once again, I have two Rokus in the house. They’re fine for what they do. I am with you though. There’s a reason I have an Apple TV 4K that I use ironically on my 65” TCL 6 Series Roku TV which is my main TV in the house. Apple TV absolutely blows away anything that Roku puts out and it’s still the only streamer to support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

He pushes the subscription streaming services and that’s not really cord cutting. Especially when the big dogs are doing it, too. This is a paradigm shift in how we watch TV and such. He is facilitating this process, maybe unknowingly. I wonder who sponsors him and if he can really be unbiased altogether. If he is sponsored by any one he needs to disclose that information. It would be unethical for him to be paid by, for example, Roku and for us not to know that. I’ve seen ads for PlayStation Vue on the website. So, his money is coming from somewhere. Obviously, he’s not the “Consumer Reports” of cord cutting.
My Roku menu doesn't have those HDMI icons shown here. What are those about? Without a paid service, CBSN has become my CNN. They have the best streaming news channel of the major networks. Xumo and Stadium look interesting. Nosey content looks like a guilty pleasure (Read: trashy) similar to Judge Judy so will check that one out too.

I cast UA-cam via cell phone app and control everything through my phone. So much easier, no need for the Roku remote.

It works now. I got a roku box like a month or two ago, and it was working at the time I got my Roku box. It still works as of 11/23/2019

You did not spell out that Canopy is spelled with a K... Kanopy. If you see this on the roku only you dont know.
