great job on the story telling and camera work 🔥🔥🔥. I definitely have to get a steadicam now. They way you're able to tell the story with the camera movement is crazy.
This shot breakdown is insanely fun to watch..! By the way it would be super cool to walk through any specificities about your cam setup for this rig if its particular to steadicam work!
Red, Thank You for sharing your shot breakdown, the storytelling iteration, and the rationale for the changes This is the next best thing to ‘learning by doing’ which is to learn by seeing & understanding how something (in this case a lovely vignette!) was done I look forward to more of this! 👍
Red, I've just begun watching your channel. I'm a Steadicam Op based in NYC (for TV). This is my favorite so far. Great direction, blocking, execution and cute story, and music choice. I love your work!!!
Nice just always! :) i see it is a bmpcc 4/6k, what kind of cables did you use? We talked about i will buy the aero 15 finally i will go with the 30...but i dont know how the cables will working... it has just 1x hdmi and 1x dtap...One time you should make a video about cables, with cameras like the bmppcc, red, arri... etc :)
thanks! for the bmpcc it only has hdmi out so that will need to be converted to sdi so it can go down the sled. adorama.rfvk.net/AJWD7 that box can be powered with the usbc that is in the camera or you can power it with dtap. is that what your asking?
@@SteadiRed yes, it was! And the below battery connected the bmpcc? Or just which one is closer to the camera and the below vlock just a weight because of the stability?!
This is so cool man! I always wanted a steadicam. I even built a prototype out of wood many years ago!! Haha! Maybe one day.. its just so expensive! What do u think about the Tilts float?
thanks for watching! im so curious, did the wooden one work? i assume it was better than nothing. i think it looks really cool, but i haven't tried it yet.
@@SteadiRed no, it was just a prototype of the arm. A friend made the gimbal part using bearings etc.. but I soon realised this is a complex engineering feat.. so I left it at that! 😂 I recently got a Komodo, and want to invest in a steadicam.. so hopefully one day! In the mean time, I’ll study your videos and ‘prepare’ 😁
thanks!!! i added lock offs to practice shots i would do. try to hold it for as long as possible. its great if you have another operator to practice with so you can take turns doing it. i also would do a lock off pointing the camera at a tv and watch a show through my monitor as i tried to keep it perfectly steady.
Really good work Red, I’m just about to start out in the steadicam world with a zephyr. I was wondering what focal length you prefer when shooting on the steady?
awesome! i find that its rare for anyone to use a lense larger then a 50mm. i think my favorite is a 24mm. if your looking for what to practice with, i would use a zoom lense that you can go wide and do a bunch zoomed way in. it is much harder but will help you get better.
If the volt it not work propeply or its not working your shot it will be balanced like it is now , when i see a operator operat his steadicam with volt and he do the show off its a good one me i dont see a good operator i see the volt do your job and you just you fix the frame only its not you operat its the volt

So much love for this shot, it works perfectly!

thanks! i love how it looks 👍
@@SteadiRed yeah it’s got a unique look. 360 cams are cool but this is a really useful way of using one. Keep it up man. 👍
These breakdowns are so cool!
Cool to see you here!
thanks so much!
Great info. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Great video. What is the music from?
i gave in and got a epidemic sound subscription. the music is so much better than the free stuff.
Nice Red!
Thank you! Cheers!

NICE
Thanks
Very very nice
Thanks a lot
which steadicam do you use? i was planning on purhcasing one as my next investment
I use the Tiffen M1, I like it a lot. You might want to check out my video on buying a first rig too.
Sorry maybe for this stupid question, but how do you manage with focus?
I have someone else pulling focus wirelessly.
Top
looks nice ! but how do you did the sharpness at the different shots ? was there a guy in the backround ?
Do you mean the focus? Yes, I have someone else pulling focus for me.
Great video! Great breakdown!
When going from a moving shot to a stop, your shot is pretty much locked. I have trouble achieving that. Any advice?
thanks!!!

@@SteadiRed I’m not sure what you mean...
Hi! What lens on this? Thanks!
its the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO Lens
This is Black magic pocket cimema camera 6k...?
its the 4k
