A mistake in the video that's gonna scare the shit out of a lot of people. Testicles absolutely aren't smooth all the way around. Testicles have an epididymis attached to them, which is a spongy feeling mass on the top, back and sometimes even the bottom pole of the testicle, with a duct that feels like a duct going away from the testicles on the bottom end. So, anyone who is touching their testicle, feeling a soft mass that pretty much feels like a bunch of small noodles on the top, rear and bottom of the testicle, that is NORMAL. What you don't want to feel are bumps on the front and sides of the testicle, the parts that feel perfectly smooth, but then all of a sudden there's a lump. That lump is ussualy obviously not supposed to be there and you can clearly tell that when you touch it, you can't miss it, it can hurt, but it can be painless. It's usually a hard mass, feels almost like a rock, as opposed to everything else down there that is usually soft and squishy.
On top of that, any mass that you can feel, any lump or a piece of tissue that is not DIRECTLY attacked to the testicle, in other words, it's movable, is not testicle cancer. In fact, most lumps that you find, even if they are on testicles, are not cancer. This is important because people who aren't used to doing self examinations are not aware of the anatomy and the amount of ducts, blood vessles, and all kinds of tissues that can be found around testicle, and then they panic when they find something that feels weird, and everything down there feels weird to the touch, even when perfectly healthy. As a medical student I know how many people get scared for no reason when in fact they should just use a bit of their time to look at some pictures and check out advice on the internet to see exactly what to expect and what not to expect during examination. If you feel anything weird however, of course get an appointment and get it checked out, if nothing else, you'll sleep better at night. What people also need to know is that testicular cancer is often not diagnosed because of lumps or irregularities on the testicles, but because of other more generalized symptomes that the cancer causes, such as being tired all the time, fatigue, lack of appetite, heavy sweating during the night even when you're not feeling hot, increased body temperature, etc.. and only after that, the testicular cancer is found. Testicular cancer is one of those cancers that still has a great chance of being completely healed even when you find it in late stages, unlike some other cancers that are only found when its too late. So, what I'm trying to is, don't panic. If you don't find anything weird, you're fine. If you find something weird, 95% of chance is that you're fine. And if you have cancer, there's a 95% chance it will be cured.

TheUpTownFan Same here bro. When i was about 13, 14 years of age. I found a small hard (zit-sized) bump on my right testicle. Also completely freaked out. Had two ultra sounds done after seeing a specialist. Fortunately everything came back clear and turned out to be a cyst (harmless).
As derbigpr500 said, even if you do find a lump chances of it being something other than cancer is more likely. And yes testicular cancer also has a very high survivability rate.
So if you do find something, the best thing to do is to remain calm and just visit your doctor.

Just want to remind everyone that I am NOT a doctor. I am talking about my own experiences and research I have done, along with questions I have asked Doctors over the past couple weeks. Feel free to ask any questions in regards to my own experiences and I'll try to answer them, however some questions are better addressed to a Doctor.

My dad had a lump under his armpit and he didn't tell anyone and hoped it would go away, when he did show us a month later the lump had gon from pea sized too tennis ball sized. When he went to hospital it was to late, the cancer had spread from his lymph nodes to his liver and stomach. The died 3 weeks later. The doctors told us if he had gone to them when he first saw the lump they would have operated and there's a chance he'd still be with us.
The moral of that story is if you have a lump get it check straight away, it might not be to late.

sorry to hear about your loss. all the doctors would have done is remove the lump, which in return would have prolonged his life for a while. but if your dad, like furious pete, continued to live the same exact way and didnt change anything it would have 100% came back. see the doctors would have contained the lump/tumor but tye CAUSE would have recieved NO attention letting do its work and do damage again. I do not mean to insult you rather give you an example.

I just wanted to this. If you have any signs just go to the hospital PLEASE. I was 13 when I when home from school my testicles was so swollen all of a sudden it happened like within an hour. It hurts so bad it was like someone kicking your testicles. I freaked out and I told my grandparents because I live with them and my parents were at work. Private doctor IMMEDIATELY assign a phone call and letter to the A & E and I was ultimately the first in queue. I had to do an ultrasound to my testicles to see what's inside. When the ultrasound was being done, tears flowed through my eyes like tap water. Trust me I was fearing for my life at all costs I cried every night in the hospital and turns out I had a disease called HSP. (Henoch Scholen Purpura) I had to take steroids to overcome the swelling and I went from 62kg to 58kg and after a few months of steriods I shot up to 90kg. Thankfully everything went right due to the fact that I went to hospital early. Now I'm turning 17 and I keep extra caution to my health so trust me guys at these teenage years if you notice something odd just talk to your parents about it. They raised you and they saw you naked fed you in the night and paid for your costs of living until now etc. Be open if you have any problems. Just giving my 2 cents out there. And get well soon Pete, this was a great informational video.

I went and seen a nutritionist for mine. I had stage one. Over the course of a year, the tumor shrunk and eventually it was undetected. This was done by empowering my mind , my body and being abundantly spiritual. I was on a strict diet and worked out with resistance bands along with training in yoga and ti-chi. I did a lot of oxidation, and detoxification of the lymphatic system. Anyone can do it, you just have to believe in yourself and put in the work. Thanks for your video.

    Hey Pete
Been a fan for a while, and im really sad that you got cancer. I also had testicular cancer in 2008 in stage 2, spread to my abdominal. So i had the same surgery as you, where they removed the sick testical, and 4 months of kemo due to the spread. When mine was discovered my HCG level was over 400, so i could make a positive pregnancy test :) as you mention in this video it is supposed to be below 2.
The first sign for me was sore nipples and i could not find any information on the internet about this, so from the first sign to the actual prognose almost 3 months past by. It was not until i felt that something was wrong with my ball that i went to see the doctor, mine was about twice the size as the other.
After my kemo ended i had my last surgery to remove the cancer spread to the abdominal, they cut open my stomach from where your ribs starts down to your boxers.
The aftermath of my treatment is that i am not able to produce testosterone and i therefor need to apply testogel everyday to keep my level up. But im alive and kicking!
Keep up the spirit and remember to live your life while you have it.

I did not require radiation though, but i have to sit through 5 and a half hours of treatments 5 days a week... The first thing i experienced was very bad back pain.. So i went to the hospital and the doctor told me that i also had a mass the size of an orange growing in my back... I have experienced lymph node swelling in both thighs to the point of not being able to walk... It has been a tough 3 years ever since i was diagnosed but I'm 3 weeks into chemos now feeling better than ever... I came across your videos a couple weeks back and you are awesome man.. A few months ago I noticed irregularities and went straight to the doctor who then referred me to the hospital for tests and scans. I was more fortunate as the irregularities turned out to be merely harmless cysts. The point I just want to make is that NO ONE should ever feel too embarrassed to have any part of them checked. I'm only 17 and believe me when I say the whole process was painless and embarrassment free! Doctors and Nurses see hundreds even thousands of different cases every week, most of which would be seen as 'embarrassing' but it's the reason they chose that profession, to help people. I thank Pete for making these videos raising awareness and giving information and sincerely hope that with his high status and army of loving fans (Myself included) wait times and death rates are reduced as they should be! Thanks Pete and stay strong :)

I always wanted to look good, be in shape and especially I wanted to feel good with myself but then I got the news that I have testicular cancer... doctors told me that I had cancer the 25th of December, 2013 and it was the worst Christmas and new years I've had in my whole life! On January 10th I got my left testicle removed just like you and I stopped doing sports and working out... after 3 months from the surgery I started chemotherapy it lasted 3 months and it was really hard but I never gave up. I gained a lot of weight during the chemotherapy, all the weight I lost in a year I got it back in 2 weeks.. now that I'm done with chemotherapy I'm starting to work out again and play soccer which is what I love to do. They got me scheduled for a ultrasound in 2 weeks.. They checked me over but not very throughly.. I'm dying here.. Took a shower and noticed a white area of the skin behind the foreskin and it's getting worse and itchy... Waking up in the morning with nausea and my bones feel rubbery like sensation it feels like I need to stretch constantly but can't.. Best way I can describe it.. I don't feel good at all.. And to not have them take it seriously when you know something ain't right it definitely ain't in my head.. Even sitting here is torture... I can't believe this shit is happening ..because if I can't get the necessary help.. It isn't going to end well I just want to wake up tomorrow and be done with this.. Don't want to deal with this at all.. As strong as I am and can handle quite a bit and take things in stride as I get older.. But this situation has Me rattled for sure especially when you start to notice other symptoms that you know have to be related.. I have an appointment tomorrow for something unrelated but I'm going to use the opportunity for sure. To get the ball rolling so atleast I can say I did what I could do on my end.. But I definitely think it's not going to work out in my favor.. I won't go down without a fight

So Pete, I watched your most recent videos and hope that everything will be back to normal very soon.
Let me share a little story here.
One day I was feeling something strange on my right ball. It kinda hurt and I started feeling down there with my hand.
There was a small, hard mass on my right ball, so I went to my doc immediately. He told me to give the hospital a call. I told them what was wrong on the phone, so we made an appointment asap. Still I had to wait about 2 day and this was the most disturbing and scary wating time I've ever had in my life.
Finally when I got an Ultrasound I also experienced the biggest relief in my life to that point.
It was no cancer, the doc even told me, there was actually no need to remove that mass down there. But since it was still a little painful every now and then I had them give me some medication to decrease its size over time.
All I can say is, go see your doctor if you think there is something wrong.
In my case it was nothing, but you never know.
Getting help early could save your life.

I haven't had testicular cancer BUT I had something called testicular torsion. That happens when the sperm cord that's attached to your ball twists up and prevents blood flow to your ball. The symptoms are acute pain in the scrotum and your abdominal area that builds up in a matter of minutes. The worst thing that can happen is if surgery is delayed there is a chance that you will lose your ball ( I didn't, luckily). Surgery is the only way to fix it BUT an another way is manual detorsion. That is when a doctor manually (with his hands) twists the cord back till it's straight. And I gotta say that is the most painfull thing you can imagine, I wasn't given any painkillers either so it was even worse. Then had to go through a surgery to fix the balls to the walls of the scrotum so the cord doesn't twist up ever again. I know it's kind of irrelevant to the video but just wanted to share this :)

Thank you! Even though I´ve never had testicular cancer before, or any other irregularities as you call them, I must admit that I´ve actually always been kinda concerned about this sorta thing, so I´m really glad, you talk so openly about it, which will make it easier for people who are subscribed to you to just click the video and learn about it, instead of having to read through tons of articles about it ;) Btw: I am so thankful (to God in Heaven) that you are still alive, because you are such a great inspiration in my own life, and even though I have motivational videos to motivate me to workout, I just don´t know if it would be the same without you! It just feels kinda comfortable and personal when you talk to us directly through UA-cam :) Thanks again! :D

Tasfiq Raihan My cancer was metas tic which means it had spread and since it had spread my doctors had said it was stage 4. I went through 4 rounds of chemo and haven't had any treatment since. I have had surgery after my chemo due to remove some leftover cancer nodes. In which they found in the biopsy it was dead cancer. I finished Chemo on November 18th and as of today my hair is around a size two in clipper length, my eyebrows have grown back and my eyelashes are still growing. Your body function turns back to normal after some time off the chemotherapy. If you don't mind me asking what type of cancer do you have and what stage?

This was done by empowering my mind , my body and being abundantly spiritual. I was on a strict diet and worked out with resistance bands along with training in yoga Andrew ti-chi. I did a lot of oxidation, and detoxification of the lymphatic system. Anyone can do it, you just have to believe in yourself and put in the work. how are things going now? Let me know. I'm with you. I am so grateful for your videos. It's terrible that this happened to you, Pete, but by being so open and honest with your viewers I guarantee that you have encouraged such a huge percentage of your male viewers (of which I imagine are quite a percentage of your overall viewers anyway) to at least check.
Even if just one person finds something after watching your videos then your experience has ensured it was found. I know that personally I am at least bothering to check more regularly now. No reason that I wasn't already, but now that it seems more like 'Oh shit, it can really happen to anyone' so I am more aware of the need to check.
Please keep making videos about it every so often, if only to remind guys to keep checking as I know that every time I've seen a video of yours pop up in my feed I've gone to check myself. Thank you, Pete.

My junk would always ride high and painful..from that moment on till a year later my left over testie was huge and hard like a baseball was diagnosed with strong anemia then doctors discovered through an ct scan what was really goin on testie cancer..went through surgery and 28 cycles of chemo since cancer spread out.now i might be going through another surgery left over cancerous tumor or wht it might be scar tissue

Pete I would like to first of all admire your courage and the awareness you create through it. You probably don't realise it but you are a gift to mankind for you have no idea the impact this could have on other's life's. I hope you have already recovered by 2015 when I post this and if not I wish you all the health in the world.
I have a few swelling symptoms but what really pushed me to take this seriously was my friend's story who died of prostate cancer two days ago. It took too long for NHS to diagnose it and give him the right treatment under the pretext that he was too young to have prostate cancer and by the time they noticed it was real it was too late - that really infuriates me.
I have had pain, swelling and redness on my testicles as well as groin pain. They come and go but when I am in pain I hardly can move and so I only go to the Dr's when I feel better, but the problem with that is when I am well the Dr's say they can't see anything. I have done xrays, urinary tests, ultrasounds and all types of blood tests but NOTHING. It frustrates me because a lot of people to whom I speak think the same about NHS - all they do is give you ibuprofen and paracetamol. I mean it is literally the Primark of the health sector, just that primark cloths sometimes last longer.
Could you please advise where you did your diagnostic? Or could you recommend a place?
My message to you all is that even when the Dr tells you all is fine with you and you know there is something wrong, do some research for yourself and you will certainly fall on great and caring people like Pete.
Once more thanks Pete and I look forward to your advise.

Back in 1996, I had the SAME symptoms that you are talking about. They removed my left testicle, but what the surgeon didn't know was that the cancer had already spread to my stomach. A month later, I had to go back in, & have half of my intestines, & stomach removed. But they botched that operation by poking a hole in my colon which caused a severe infection throughout my body.

Go to a doctor, it's got a cure rate of like 98% if caught early, so go to a doctor now and you will almost certainly be fine. :)

Why should I take advice from someone who does not see the link between eating 20 cheeseburgers a day and juicing with cancer.

I just found this video. Never knew the Furious Pete had cancer! Glad you are still here. I hope your videos have made you some good money to help you finance your expensive cancer treatments. Best wishes brother. You are a great guy and a very entertaining. The world is better for many people because of you. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Even the hard parts. My mother survived breast cancer and you can survive yours. This is one of your best videos.. I remember years ago Tom Green made a lot of jokes about his testicular cancer on MTV. He tried to educate people but it did it in the wrong way. Your seriousness and your words make it more real... You may be too young to know who Tom Green is. Anyways thanks for the video and good luck. Everyone on youtube wishes you the best.

Great video Pete! Thank's for spreading the word about testicular cancer! It is relatively common for young adults to get it here where i live in the world (Denmark) and it is just awesome that you are talking about your experience for others that are going through the same shit. People don't hesitate to go to the doctor!

In September of this year 2017, I will be 10 years post testicular cancer. I ended up with neuropathy in my feet and living on disability. From what I understood from this video I had the same problem. Mine was the right size. I'm just glad I can only get one more time.
