Hey guy your truck sounds good, however you should really consider replacing the blend door actuator and it's possible the one underneath the glove box right next to the blower motor.

I hate those damn ticks these trucks get on the interior upon startup and shut down, I forgot about it because my family hasn’t owned one of these since 2013 or 14
@@obsyeye948 it is the blend door actuator, it is located on the passenger side. Look for a connection and you should be able to unplug it for the noise to stop until you get it fixed. it is kind of hard to explain where it is. Its stuffed under the dash near the floor. If you can't find it look up a video on how to get to it

The truck is a ‘94 C1500 with a 350 TBI in it and needs a transmission, the 3-4th gears are gone in it but it still limps around down the road however I’m not gonna drive it around much til that transmission is fixed. I plan on doing some kind of exhaust work on it, I was thinking about doing the cat delete and throwing a flowmaster or a glass pack on there or just cutting the muffler out and straight piping it with the cat on. I’d like the perfect balance of noise
@@leviwoodring6101you can go catless on a 95 as well I took my truck in asked if they could take the cat off and they asked what year it was and said they could because there was no o2 sensor after the cat only before it and they just plugged it right back into the new pipe they also told me my cat was already blown out and there wasn’t anything inside of it
That clicking is just a little square actuator that changes the direction of the air like $15 and a couple hours to fix. Did mine not long ago theres like 3 or so of them. Its not the blower
You definitely aught to advance that timing she's firing a little slow for sure and running a little week no offense.. sounds good i have a 91 with 350

No it’s just the 5.7 there so clappy about about to do a 5.7 no cat 40 series dual in dual out

Thanks man. Just got a 94 gmc that does that and I suspected the blend motor area but wasn't sure. Sounds just like this guys.

mines is about 60 when cold then its about 30-50 ish when at temp depending on if I'm at idle or at throttle.
After mine warm up it sits in the middle but at idle it’s like 6 lines from the highest what would be the problem

levi woodring just think about doing a few minor upgrades. Maybe bigger injectors and few other things can get you some where. And somewhere decent

Should put a cross tube to make it h-pipe near the back of the engine to help it scavenge properly

Why was your temp gauge not working and your tach was showing 2500 rpm's at 55 mph but the exhaust sounded good though !!!!
Temp was working fine. 2500rpm because it was not in overdrive

When u took off the catalic converter did the check engine turned on the dash?
No. The only code I have is for egr. Because I deleted it.
These old GMC and Chevy's didn't have a downstream 02 sensor so there wouldn't be any check engine light when you remove the cat

Did you have to change anything as far as O2 sensor or changes to the ECM?
Nope. 88-94s don't need o2 sensors. They just tell you if the cat is bad. Does not affect how they run.

I had the same clicking from the a/c in my 94 Chevy 🤣. I just took the fuse out and rode around with no air 🤷🏻♂️
