  • This video is much longer than I wanted it to be so please bear with me.
This was a painfully tedious job trying not to break any frozen solid parts.

I believe those batteries are from the teens and could be original to the engine. That's a really neat surprise and find. Too bad they're in rough shape. Perhaps one of them can be saved for show? I hope so. Anyway, I like long videos. Better than watching TV!! Don't worry about making the videos long, we'll watch.

Interesting to see such a tiny engine!

Wow this thing is going to be quite the project! Good thing it ended up in your hands because I doubt many people would have the skill or willpower to want to revive such a rough engine! Cant wait to see more of this project soon!

Thanks for the detailed description and showing all the parts. I have wanted to make a model of one of these engines for some time and they will help a lot. Would it be possible to give me a couple of main dimensions so that I can scale the rest to suit? Something like Flywheel diameter, Cylinder diameter over the fins and the width over the flared out bottom of the crankcase. I mostly build with 24mm bore cylinders so assuming your engine is 2 1/4" bore that would make my model a little less than half size. Thanks, J.

what was the voltage of each battery? Was the coil 6 volts?

What kind of sandblasting unit do you use?
