I almost forgot about seeing that a while back. It was a trick that did not get the attention it deserved in my opinion because I thought I just saw it in a quickly slapped together edit and had no idea who even pulled it.
If you aint crashing, you aint trying hard enough, gotta put your body in the correct position to land it and try harder than you are ,more effort ! Bmxer advice from 25yrs ago
I'm almost 40 and I could never get hang 5s good enough until I realized that my old school frames had shallow head tube angles and fork angles so the bike was in a weird position.... Nowadays newer bikes have steeper headtubes so the forks are at a much different angle, a lot better for hang 5s and nose manuals.
When I was young I destroyed my knees learning this.... And to see a curb as a tool to learn the balance just gave me a headache and pain in my legs lol I never would have thought of it.
Does a hang 5/nose manual balance machine help? I’ve built one and have slowlllyy started figuring them out a little bit definitely not keen on bailing and getting caught up when I’m actually doing them 🤷🏼♂️😂
That's a hangfive how to video from someone who CAN hangfive to someone who CAN hangfive. As with most hangfive how to videos there are no technical tips here for someone that actually wants to learn the trick. Here is how this video sounded like to someone that can't hangfive yet and is trying to search technical information : ''If you want to learn how to drive a car you get into the car and you learn how to drive a car. It will take time'' Yeah, thanks. The most difficult part of learning how to hangfive is actually getting in the hangfive position, while rolling, not the balancing part, the balancing part is easy and comes natural once you get into position. No technical info on the most difficult part. The curb thing is for finding the balancing point before you actually start trying the trick, not for getting into position. There is a huge difference between setting yourself into a fixed stance and getting into that stance on the fly while rolling, thats where the tricky part is. Hang five looks like a basic trick but takes many months and frustration to learn.Worth it though..
@@iLLuzion1st imagine doing the slow down, rewind, slow down, rewind on vhs tapes.Thats what i did in the 90s!After a while the trick wasnt visible because the tape was fucked from the rewinds! But dude, its 2022,there should be some decent bmx how to videos out there!
That front flip from a hang 5 was legendary!!

I've been riding for 15 years and never spent enough time trying to learn it. I think I should try to learn it now at 34.
@williamperri3437 still working on it man! I’ll try occasionally, eat shit, and give up
My favorite rider. Hucker is such a cool humble dude and he just sends the gnarliest stuff.

I would say as a guy that does plenty of hang5’s you are correct but one of the biggest things is learning how to bail
@@g_sharp96 i think bailing comes natural after the first 2-3 crashes..
I totally agree
I mean every basic trick in BMX is fuck it and huck it until you get it. Nowadays just watch youtube in slow morion and break the trick down yourself
