    Stoked for the new frame. Hope the tide of short rear ends is receding...

      Dude I feel like I’m one of the few younger guys who run a long backend. I run the federal Lacey frame which has a 13.75 backend. Short backends suck:/

    Best grips ever, cant emphasize that enough. The dual compound idea works perfectly. They are nice and soft but they lock tight to the bar. I cant stand throttle grip. ;)

    Wait my motorbike knowledge can help me here 😂Shorter stem reduces offset, which leads to increased trail. Which makes the steering more stable. Similar deal to having a longer back end, it just gives more confidence on the front end. While still having the steep head angle to still be agile.

    Agreed. 13.8 is to short imo. Race frame geometry is best. My foot hits the rear peg on short frames and it loops out too easy.

    • @jeremybaker5444
      @jeremybaker5444 Рік тому

      I can't run a right rear peg for that exact reason. My foot hits every time and being left foot forward it gets bothersome fast

    13.5" is still a short rear-end. I remember when even 13.75" was short because everyone else was riding that or 14.25"+ You can still manual very easily on a 13.75-13.50" CS length and it has just gotten shorter and shorter over the years because people gotten lazier and thought would make for easier manuals. Same goes for HT angles of 74°, 74.5°, 75°,75.5°.

    • @AMM1998
      @AMM1998 Рік тому

      Riding has progressed, people haven't gotten lazier. That's such an idiotic take. The level of street riding has absolutely blown up since sub 13" back ends have become the norm. You're just an old head who thinks all of the riders from your day were better than the riders of today which isn't the case. I can't stand salty old heads ragging on new generations

      13.5 is perfect for 30 / 9 no chain slack

    • @AMM1998
      @AMM1998 Рік тому +5

      @@yourcommenthasbeenremoved depends on your riding style. It's ignorant to think that there's such a thing as objective perfection when it comes to bike geometry. Something that feels perfect for you will feel terrible for the next dude and vice versa. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a preference but saying that any length change the is perfect is just narrow-minded

    • @yourcommenthasbeenremoved

      just sayin for the ppl out there who run a mans gear an dont want do to do the math , i have 13.5 fits a 30/9 ratio with no tensioners needed , go preach somewhere else 😂

    I've had my Soundwave complete since 2020 and haven't broken anything on it yet. Love it. This bike also looks to be high end, but just too long for me. I enjoy more street.

    Trails and race geometry is best. 21 TT and at least 14 rear. Don't hit ur knees and better manuals. 74.5 headtube. But Ti and carbon everywhere u can.

      @@yourcommenthasbeenremoved Is that for the whole bike or just the frame? All i know is that the Soundwave and the Nightshift frames are 41 Thermal with a lifetime warranty, i would have thought that the Wavelength frame would be aswell 'cos it's Gary's signature frame, but i'm not actually sure on that, i was just guessing it would be.
      I ride the Nightshift frame, shorter backend at 13", it's a amazing frame.
