I Bought a month ago But not only for this game, but sure I am excited Assassins Creed is pretty cool I am enjoying a lot But the true reason I choose to pick a Quest was to use like Apple Vision Pro which I can't afford
The industry needs more exclusives, exclusive games are good because they generate competition I didn't bought a PS5 because Sony is releasing everything on PC
The issue for me isn't that it's VR exclusive, it's that it's a Quest 3 exclusive. I'd be able to run it on my PC with steam link to my Quest 2, but instead I'll have to buy a whole new headset for this one game. Honestly though I love the Arkham games so much I'll probably still get it, and I am glad it's a VR game.
@@gyorgyboszormenyi9078 It's not like that at all. These headsets are far less worth the money and don't do as much, headsets are releasing far too quickly for exclusivity. And with the PS5, there's so many games that work on PS4 and PS5, while some games are PS5 exclusive since they can't run on older hardware. This isn't the same for VR. This COULD be on tons of different headsets, but Meta is obviously greedy. Anyone defending this are just bootlicking.
Vr is going to become more prevalent weather the haters like it or not, hating on it is just stupid. I have played games since the sega master system days and after vr its hard to be excited about flat screen games.
Alien Incursion is multi platform and that is getting pushback for being VR too. It’s not just about META. Too many flat gaming nerds are too whiney and greedy to share ip’s.
People are acting like that even if the game wasnt vr it would be the next aroham knight but they should be happy that they are even getting a game because it was camouflage who begged wb to make the game and they just finally green lit so its either this or nothing
i think most of it is just because its been 9 years of people begging for a new Arkham game, like a normal one and they were just disapointed, i was at first but the more i see of the game the more faith i have that its gonna be a good representation of Arkham just in VR now, and knowing that it was Camouflage that asked to make the game shows they actually care about what their making so overall, its shaping up to looking like a pretty good game
Exclusives for a form of gaming that has yet to take off is not a good thing. Games should be made for every headset until VR has become more mainstream. Stop thinking with just 2 brain cells.
@SplitRoyale the fact you are asking this question is why VR needs more 3rd person games The chase camera is decoupled. It's not like vorpx. In vorpx when you turn your head to the left the camera orbits around the right of the character to face left. With a proper decoupled chase camera when you turn left the camera does not orbit the character, it just turns left. The only way to make the camera orbit the character is with thumbstick rotation. What this ends up providing is the ability to look around in a 3rd person game without the character always taking up the center of your vision. This is a huge upgrade over flat screen 3rd person. The only real issue is that if it's a 3rd person shooter, you'll be aiming with your face. This is not a 3rd person shooter though. Which means the original batman arkham combat would need zero accommodations or reservations people might have with face aiming.
@gyorgyboszormenyi9078 and yet I have at least 1 official native 3rd person vr game using a chase camera and a bunch of uevr examples where 3rd person was attempted and worked. So don't speak again. If you want to experience what 3rd person VR looks like go download uevr and try it on hogwarts legacy without trying to download some first person camera profile. Personally I think anyone equating playing a game in an hmd as "being there, doing it, I am batman" is blowing alot of smoke up their own ass just to make all of VR an exclusive niche shitshow of hand waving gimmicks. My post will age well in 5 years time, yours wont. Don't get mad when you see more studio closures and layoffs due to how well this is recieved by normal people with a firm grasp on reality. All i need to appreciateiate 3d with headtracking, is just that. no hand waving gimmicks required. It's sad that you can't see how 3rd person VR is supposed to work due to your need to wave your hands around. I mean you are going to sit there and tell me putting on an hmd and waving two pieces of plastic around makes you "feel like batman".. Or that the combat in first person looks as spectacular as what the 3rd person combat provides? It's literally a boring pair of hands now. Let's see how many flips, whips and sumersaults over people heads you do in first person.

It's like when you buy a ps5 after a ps4, I don't get the problem here, that's how we progress.

But it’s not just VR exclusive. It’s a Meta Quest 3 exclusive. You can’t play it with an Oculus, Vive, or PSVR.

All facts not that the haters care
The people that are saying it looks like a PS2 game are just salty and
buthurt. PS2 games did not look like this😂
I’m just mad that it’s a quest exclusive. Why
Money

Be honest with yourselves, a boring pair of hands will never match up to watching batman in action. VR needs 3rd person games.
How would a third person vr game even work

Be honest, you don't know what you're talking about, never tried vr. Or you wouldn't say dumb things like this
