I don't know who the hell this band is but all i can say is that within the first ten seconds of the song i was hooked, this is the kind of music i need in my life
Fun fact: That little animation at the end (and the music with it) was actually made by a computer in the 60's, and was featured in a 1968 film called The Incredible Machine.
This footage was first thought to be a conceptual art piece produced by the band before making music videos had become standard music industry practice. While the exact date and circumstances under which it was produced are unclear, the anonymous donor of the footage claims that it had been screened to students for nearly twenty years as part of the public school curriculum, until its use was discontinued in 1984…
Bubblegum oldies, 1940's Soul, classic rock, music from the 50s through the 70s, and then alt-rock from the 90s through now brought me here. And I can't forget songs from the 80s like golden brown by the stranglers.
Facts for new fans: 1 This duo was in a band called the Brobecks together that didn't do too well or something in the early naughties(a really good album was released and then they broke up) 2. Dallon Weekes (the guy singing) was part of P!@td for a short while in early tens 3. Ryan Seaman the drummer was apart of Falling in Reverse until 2017 4. Dallon Weekes plays the keyboard, sings and bass guitar
this song is such a jam. The whole band is great, most of their songs are bops, but something about the intentionality behind making a perfectly structured pop song is fucking auditory joy.
I was sort of sad when Dallon left Panic! but they have done more than prove themselves to me. They are indescribable and oof, its just so different and this is what the music industry needs.

"Yeah, we've been messing around with these computers here to see what they can do. Sure, they can do mathematical equations with frightening speed and accuracy, but we gave some to Bob and Jim in the department over and they made some really funky music."
The outro for this video is a recreation of the credits from a short film called ''The Incredible Machine'' from the 60's, which touches several cutting edge computer topics such as voice generation and computer animation. The music in that section is a fragment of a song called ''Beat Canon'' that came in a Bell Labs LP called ''Music from Mathematics''. Both of these things can be found on youtube.
I feel like this song is supposed to be making fun of soulless pop songs (saying they are basically made by computers), but being a boring vanilla guy I actually love this.
For those wondering the incomprehensible bottom text at the start of the video is Icelandic and it's just literally the translation of the top text. I didn't even know this band was icelandic when I first heard them but I'm impressed they managed to make such a good video.
Fun fact, the little jingle in the end credits is off a vinyl called "Music from Mathematics" pressed by Decca for what I assume for only a year back in the 60s. The track is Beat Canon by John Robinson Pierce. Also includes the 7090 singing "Bicycle Built for Two". Little piece of computing history.

THANK YOU
i didn't ask

That’s pretty wild.
@@calumsanderson6741 and we didn't ask you
i love his voice, its so.. breathy
-e l l i e- so have you ever heard their song Bleed Magic
@@rkkwc lol
It's sexy , this is why I like it
I love the part "but we're probably gonna die" cause he sounds not confident at all but confident in a different way
I feel like this song is supposed to be making fun of soulless pop songs (saying they are basically made by computers), but being a boring vanilla guy I actually love this.
Yeah it is you got it spot on
Wow I didn't know that was the meaning of the song
what I learned from this:
1. He's gonna take my girl
2.He gets his money from a trust fund
3. He does it all the time
So thats whos been taking my things
Also remember that he's really young, but he's probably going to die
You must get a lot of girls for him to do it all the time
He's also taking over the world
It's his "little victimless crime"
And they're taking over the world, one kiss at a time
dallon looks like that teacher that everyone had and still has a crush on.
hhHahha
True, he looks so hot
Epic charon_gaming the one with the brown hair and the singing one
I mean if Dallon was my teacher......
Dallon is actually the keyboard you see in front of that robot guy
For those wondering the incomprehensible bottom text at the start of the video is Icelandic and it's just literally the translation of the top text.
I didn't even know this band was icelandic when I first heard them but I'm impressed they managed to make such a good video.
Dallon, the lead singer, is from Utah.
Just when I thought I couldn't love idkhow even more they drop this beauty. I love how unique they are, I dig this so much.
I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT I FOUND THIS BAND
Same
Same fammmm
Fun fact, the little jingle in the end credits is off a vinyl called "Music from Mathematics" pressed by Decca for what I assume for only a year back in the 60s.
The track is Beat Canon by John Robinson Pierce.
Also includes the 7090 singing "Bicycle Built for Two".
Little piece of computing history.
@@10brokenradios Super interesting! Thanks to both of you for the heads up- God bless :)

“Bicycle Built For Too” is such an amazing callback to The BroBecks and Le Velo Pour Deux

This music video is so eerie, and the song is amazing.
I wasn't expecting finding such a great song today

Stina Strøm just gotta say your profile pic is adorable
thx ;)
Honestly it describes my mood on a daily; confused and over easy. 😂
Ugh. Why is this so good, their whole aesthetic is so iconic.
Why do I love him so much?
Why do I love them so much?
Why do I love this video so much?

Because yes.
no reason why, you're only doing everything you do cause you do it all the time.
