Love my Sofirn IF22A. Convenient size, serious throw, affordable price. Along with my Sofirn SP35, it makes a two-light set that can handle any situation I need.
THANK YOU, for adding the prices to each light. This , in my opinion makes all the difference in the world and turns your vid into a VERY well done , informative over view of these lights. It also shows you are responsive to your viewers a truly want to inform them. I have 2 of the sofirn IF22A. This is a true pocket thrower at a great price. I am not a fan of external charging butthole ports as they allow water and dirt to shorten the lifespan of your light if it is subject to hard use outdoors and sofirn has gone all in on the butthole port on all their models now , but for the price and otherwise performance and true pocket carry size the IF22A is really hard to beat. My next purchase will be the Acebeam L18 just for the very fact it has NO external butthole and a tailswitch on/off. It's seams like a great light also.
After some research, the Ts30s seems like the best choice. A light with some spill is what I would like which brought down the choices between ts30 and the olight. Proprietary charger and just two light modes is what me decide olight isn’t a right fit.
I've got the Wukkos TS30S and it's a beast another GREAT contender here is the Thrunite Catapult very similar to the wukkos in light output. Been EDCing a SC31 pro for a year. Got the IF22A a few months ago and have been carrying the IF22 most of the time since. I have a C8G sst40 and I really like it because it is 1500 lm instant on with the tailcap switch but it's too big for front pocket carry. It's so easy to turn on without having to fumble for the button, I keep it in-between the seat and console to spotlight house addresses quickly. Personally I think the C8G throws farther side by side but it could have been my eyes. For the price you can't beat the IF22/A, SC31 pro, or SP35. Those 3 being a 21700 thrower, 18650 EDC, and 21700 EDC. Just got a Lumintop gt Nano 10440 as a new keychain light, it is very impressive. Highest on ramp mode the GT Nano is about same as IF22A on high. But when on about 20% still is very usable and holds that brightness for about an hour depending how many times you re-engage turbo playing around with it.
Great comparison video. I have the WURKKOS TS30S, its a great thrower but I just ordered a Sofirn IF22A for a more compact thrower better for EDC. I also have a Olight Warrior X Pro but consider a thrower but more of a jack of all trades master of none.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I think you will really like the IF22A its a great edc/ entry level thrower option. Your thoughts on the Warrior X pro are spot on. Make sure you subscribe I just gave that light away in a GAW!
Interesting interpretation - I was hoping the Olight would benefit from versatility, but as you say, it's an all rounder but not necessarily in a good way... I've been wanting one for ages (There are a few of the Mk1 600m versions on eBay) but am now thinking that a dedicated thrower/powerbank might be more useful. I have a Seeker 2 Pro, Perun 2 and S2RII..
That's a great choice! Must be cool to live in a place with a view! I have to drive about half an hour and hike another 15min to get to a place big and open enough to test these lights lol.
I just bought an Imalent ms50. I also have a Sofirn 36pro. I would like to see a comparison of these throwers. First one was 159 on sale. Second was only 49 on sale. Big lumen difference though. 20k vs 8k.

Thats a great question, and I'm not sure how they compare lol. Seem to be similar lights on paper but I would expect the T27 to have a wider hotspot and less intensity. There is a charging port on the K1when you unscrew the tube from the head, I presented the wrong info on that...

Thanks Raudel, glad you enjoyed the video! The Olight is fantastic!
Thanks for making the video
Love these comparison videos. Watched them all. I love the Wurkkos TS30S. Never had a light from this brand before.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! Let me know if you have any other ideas for comparison videos! Yeah Wurkkos is a fantastic brand. They make an 18650 light called the FC11 that's one of the best budget EDC lights in my opinion.
@@UrbanSurvivor Thanks for the suggestions. Been a flashlight lover since I was a kid. Thought I was weird cause of a weird hobby. A budget option lantern comparison video would be nice. Thanks.
Great comparison. Definitely the Hanklight K1 W2.
Great video! I love this type of comparison. Out of the bunch the Warrior X Pro would serve my needs the best.
Awesome, really glad you enjoy this style of video! I've done a bunch more like it for all kinds of lights - ua-cam.com/play/PLMANL5AZPbqdo_-tmFx7UhKTkYJt4lr-q.html Great choice on the Warrior X Pro!
Hey PeskyPeet! I picked you as the winner of the Giveaway! Please email me at urbanpreppergearguide@gmail.com to arrange shipping!
Definitely the Noctigon K1. Love me a good Hank light!
Haha yeah Nocitgon is great! Do you own any other Hank lights?
Thanks for the excellent review!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
this was a great presentation, thanks for all the info.
Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it! Which thrower are you leaning towards?
I like that Wurkkos TS30S
That's a good choice! They also make a great budget 18650 EDC light called the FC11 worth checking out!
Digging the sofirn and the manker
The lighted tree at 35 meters is revealing. The Onlight warrior X pro and the Wurkkos TS303S showed the best detail of the tree at 35 meters.
Olight looks like a good mix of flood and throw!
Ya but the 2 min step down was lousy. Got rid of mine
Great vid! The Cyansky looks like a good thrower, and I don't have any Cyanskys/-ies... yet. :D
The K1 is the most impressive to me! Great job on the video!
The K1 is great! Really glad you enjoyed the video!
@@UrbanSurvivor Thanks for the reminder, subed :-)
Interesting interpretation - I was hoping the Olight would benefit from versatility, but as you say, it's an all rounder but not necessarily in a good way... I've been wanting one for ages (There are a few of the Mk1 600m versions on eBay) but am now thinking that a dedicated thrower/powerbank might be more useful. I have a Seeker 2 Pro, Perun 2 and S2RII..
with theTS30S you cant run turbo for more than a minute or you will fry your hand. Save money, pass on it.
Convoy L21a, L21B Sft40, Culpm1 throws good too sir.
Oh man, that if22a is impressing me with is versatility and output. But I think I'll go with the k1. Thanks again !
Yeah for the price the IF22A is a fantastic light!
Can any of these torches take a 18800 rechargeable battery or 2+ batteries, also marked 26650 3,7 volt? They are thicker than usual.
The Noctigon K1 has to be my favorite. They're all great, but it's just the most insane. And it is "the beacon" from the meme afterall.
Yeah it's on another level that's for sure! I've got my eye on a few LEP lights so hoping to compare those sometime in the next few months too!
Great comparisons, difficult choices for sure. I Like the Noctigon K1 cause it has the farthest reach which is helpful where I live.
That's a great choice! Must be cool to live in a place with a view! I have to drive about half an hour and hike another 15min to get to a place big and open enough to test these lights lol.
Helpful thorough review. The warrior would be the best fit for me.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it PT! That's a great light and seems to be most peoples favorite.
My favorite is Noctigon K1 with Osram PM1 (W2)
All of these are more impressive than anything I currently own but I think I would pick the Manker U22 III
Thats a great choice! Interesting profile pic and name lol
Sofirn IF22A Perfect Budget Thrower!!!
Yeah its fantastic for the price. Probably the best for somebody new to throwers.
@@UrbanSurvivor absolutely 💯
Awesome video. I'd have to go with the Manker U22, that thing is very impressive.
That's a great choice and much more carry friendly than the K1 while still delivering exceptional throw. Have a great weekend Alex!
Which one of these lights has like yellow producing light ?
Wurrkos TS30S, lovely light.
Yeah it is a great light! The FC11 is another light they make that runs on an 18650 and is a great EDC budget option. Thanks for watching Jack!
Nightwatch has some pretty good lights to....
Manker U22 III FTW!
That's a fantastic light!
Thanks for the video. I could give that Warrior X Pro a nice home
Hey Andrew, that's a great one! Seems to be the top choice for most people! Thanks for watching and hope you have a good weekend!
The k1 is my favorite.
I love my 🐇 Lumintop D2 NICHIA 4000k and 🐇 Lumintop GT mini NW , one with wide hotspot and one with tight hotspot .
Ive got the D2 with the nichia as well and really like it!
I just bought an Imalent ms50. I also have a Sofirn 36pro. I would like to see a comparison of these throwers. First one was 159 on sale. Second was only 49 on sale. Big lumen difference though. 20k vs 8k.
Wurkkos ts30s is my choice. Seems a bit pricey however.
Yeah it is a great light and a little expensive but you do get a lot for what you pay for. For budget options, the Sofirn lights are the best!
I would have to go with the Olight Warrior X Pro to go with my Warrior 3. Great video.
Haha that would be a sick combo! Warrior 3 just arrived in my mailbox the other day so planning to get a review out in the next few weeks. Thank you for watching and Im glad you enjoyed the video.
I like the manker u22 iii... it’s impressive for its size
Hey Tank, that's a great light! Thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
What do you think of the Thrunite Catapult V6?
Yesterday i bought the ts30s with 2 21700 for 60€. I believe that is a good Deal.
Yeah that sounds like a great deal! Where did you get it from?
@@UrbanSurvivor Wurkkos Website. Special Deal because of some Chinese Holiday
👋 Hi Urban Survivor. I like the look of the O light warrior pro. - I would be so blessed to win. - I walk the county trail by my house each night and it’s very dark when I walk. I have had a couple surprises that scared me Recently One was a raccoon, a skunk and one recently was a homeless drink person. I would fell so much safer with a good light. I cannot work so this would be a blessing. Thanks for entering me. And thank you for your videos. Because of you I carry pepper spray now - bless 💜🙏
Hey Laura! Yikes, sounds like a sketchy place to walk at night! Good to hear you have some pepper spray that's a great idea! I'd be happy to recommend a few budget flashlight or headlamp options at some point if needed! Having some light would enhance your safety! Thanks so much for watching, and good luck on the giveaway!
@@UrbanSurvivor thank you 🙏💜
Mmmm, love me some Olight Warrior! Would truly have to see if my bff's engineer hubby could mod it for though. I need a batlight.
Haha well if that project ever comes to life you need to share a photo that would be incredible!
@@UrbanSurvivor I TOTALLY would!!
I have the sofirn c8f, the body is pretty much identical to the c8g but it's a flood instead of a thrower, i think i might have to add to my collection
K1my favorite thanks 😊
Great choice man! A solid addition to any collection lol. Have a great weekend!
The wurkkos is the best overall. But I would probably pick the if22a to purchase for average use.
Hey Adam, The Wurkkos is great but I am with you on the IF22A being one of the best all around in terms of pocketability, performance and price. Very tough to beat it! Thanks for watching!
Hey Adam, The Wurkkos is great but I am with you on the IF22A being one of the best all around in terms of pocketability, performance and price. Very tough to beat it! Thanks for watching!
i liked the Science guy k3 one
The Mankar U22 lll seems like best light for me .
Thats a great one! Thanks for watching!
I'd like to have the overall design of the Olight, but with the form factor, price and performance of the Sofirn.
Yeah Olight held up pretty well in the test but for the money sofirn can't be beat!
K1 is my fav, although I already have the TS30S. Gotta love the lumens, but the K1 throw, though...gotta have both.
yeah the K1 is on another level. I'm working on acquiring a few LEP lights and it would be interesting to compare them with the K1
I think the Wurkkos TS30S is the best; well, for my needs anyway.
I have an Olight Warrior X Pro and M2R Pro; neither are worth the money IMHO.
I almost purchased the Warrior X Turbo; however, seeing my new IF22a make the Warrior Pro look sad in comparison, I'm pretty much done with Olights.
The Noctigon K1 is overall my favorite for its output. Definitely not pocket friendly though ha ha.
Haha no it is certainly not pocket friendly. For that the If22A is not bad. Thank you for watching and hoping you enjoy your weekend!
Acebeam L18 and the L19 are the best lights.
I always enjoy your many flashlight 🔦 comparisons in their variations based on battery…. However… i wish in this one u could have had Nitecore p30i in it as it uses a 21700 5000 mah battery. Would have been awesome to see the comparison
Thanks for the tip on the P30i! I'm probably going to remake this video in a few months and will see if I can get my hands on one of those!
Most of these lights I have never heard of or the companies, cynanksy and olight are the only ones I know. Exactly what's the difference between throw and well your normal light coverage? Sofrin(if22a) im amazed at the throw and lumens although the Manker has a better throw I would prefer the sofrin or olight. What is required to be in the giveaway?
I like manker because beautiful lens.
Noctigon K1 all the way
Are the sofirn throwers waterproof?
The olight warrior x turbo needs to be in this!
The warrior would be mine I just don't understand why it only offers high and low
Sofirn IF22A for budget throw purists. Great review anyways!
Yeah I am with you on that Bien! Sofirn makes some great lights! The SP35 is a great EDC light and the BLF LT1 is the best lantern on the planet lol.
How does the acebeam t27 compare to the k1. And where is the charging port
Thats a great question, and I'm not sure how they compare lol. Seem to be similar lights on paper but I would expect the T27 to have a wider hotspot and less intensity. There is a charging port on the K1when you unscrew the tube from the head, I presented the wrong info on that...
noctigon k1 since i like that company the best.
That's a great choice! What other lights from them do you own?
@@UrbanSurvivor just the emisar d4v2, as i understand hank makes them both i think?
what flashlight thrower have 5000k tint?
have you tried the thrunite catapult mini? insane little TIR lens thrower. its 18350 powered and i forget that its in my jacket pocket.
Yes, it is a great light! I actually compared it to a handful of 18350/16340 lights in a video with a similar format - ua-cam.com/video/IXp43t4mQF0/v-deo.html
Can you help me? I'm looking for a tight long throw with the least amount of flood.
Of these the sofirn if22a or the noctigon k1 would be be good choices. Otherwise an LEP light might be a good choice. I am going to be comparing a handful of them in a few weeks.
