The Cat Mini is also a really nice and compact TIR thrower.
If it weren't for the 2click-for-strobe I'd be all over the TD01. Momentary should be momentary, period.
Oh yeah, I've seen reviews of it and the cat mini has smaller hotspot but beats most of these besides the TD01. With a better driver and enhanced UI... it'd be perfect. But can't complain for the price
I love my IF19 with 18650 tube. I wonder how ut compares to the IF22

Would you recommend getting the tdo1? The price alone makes it worth it but how do you feel when compared to the convoy L21b? Which would you recommend between these two lights? Thank you for your response n advance and keep up the great work….. oh and side question, where do u get your batteries at? Convoy has great lights but as you know they don’t always provide the option of purchasing a battery along with the light smh
Yeah I would. It's got a really clean and bright beam! Larger hotspot too. But...the L21B produces more usable spill on lower levels though. Plus if you get the version with W2 emitter (green), it throws something like 1.6km. But no onboard charging... They're both priced so well, maybe get both lol. Convoy sells those 'litokala' batteries which are pretty good. Otherwise I'd recommend a Samsung 40T or Molicel P42A. Both high draw cells that will serve you well for high powered lights.
@@DarrenYeoYT thanx brotha I appreciate it and a “lol” is totally appropriate because I probably will get both. The if22a was my first thrower and I absolutely love them. I also have a convoy M21A which is pretty nice too. Heard over the years the buzz pertaining to convoy “torches” (lol sorry i live in usa) but have to say it was your videos that convinced me to give them a try and totally no regrets here so thank you. But what is the hype around the c8 flashlights by convoy? I’ve seen astrolux produces c8 lights as well now but im clueless about them as i originally thought the c8 stood for the model but have concluded now that is not the truth. Honestly I remember u doing a video with a convoy c8 light that was anodized all white, looked cool as hell, lol perhaps the light preferred by storm troopers. Anywayz thanx again for the videos, sharing your vast amounts of knowledge, and your responses.
During long term outages: use a higher wattage solar panel charger, and use it to charge a large capacity powerbank. Use the powerbank to power your fav charger. There are other ways also but similar. Most important is a type c input charger.
Great tip.. any suggestions on good quality solar panel chargers?
@@DarrenYeoYT there are many quality brands of which I use a 3 panel Allpowers one. Mono is a bit more efficient than Poly.

@@DarrenYeoYT No worries. Just one more important thing: never charge any sensitive electronic device (like smartphones) directly connected to a solar panel. The energy flow from solar panels can be erratic due to the variation in light intensity and your smart device doesn’t like that. A powerbank has less issues with that. And charging a powerbank directly is much more practical.

Astrolux has had TIR lens before any of these lights.
Did they? I believe Astrolux are manufactured by Sofirn for Banggood.

Whats TIR?
It stands for "total internal reflection" - basically it is a compact plastic lens that focuses the light into wide or narrow beam. It's an alternative to the usual reflector design.
