For those who don’t own the Acebeam K75. It’s way lighter than it looks. It still is a big light when you look at it but when you go to pick it up you’re surprised how light it is
This is 100% true. It’s amazingly light and compact compared to the others.
This my friend was the best well explained review…. GREAT JOB! and thanks a lot….
He always does a great job at explaining his thoughts on his reviews. This was a really fun one to watch. I have a couple of the throwers that he was showing and I have some others like the TM 39 or the TN 42 V2 along with, the Manker MK 35ll. Every time I watch him do his magic with his broadcast it’s fun.👍
Man you've got a great collection. I only have the Convoy, but I have two of them. Good enough for my purposes. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching!
Incredibly great review!!
My biggest fan!
Thanks for the comparison! The L7 is an amazing light for 90 bucks with batteries and with a regulated driver. That's almost 80 percent of what those other lights can do at 1/3rd of the cost.
Pound for Pound L21b is the king of the throwers!
I am Missing the Wurkkos ts30s, got my one today. Very Compact and nice price. 60€ with 2 21700 cells.
Normal price ist 65 with 1 21700.
And it has a bigger, wider beam. So more real Life usability (for me) :)
There is a sbt 90.2 for every Budget :)
Good Video 👍
But i would Like to See a Match Up to the ts30s. Would be very interesting
I have the little brother of that Acebeam, the K65, and it feels amazing in the hand. The K75 looks like it has the exact same body with a bigger reflector. Might have to pick one up someday.
The K75 is excellent. Still one of the kings of throwers because of it’s punch vs weight ratio.
Im sure the ISS is calling NASA saying, what's happening, there's bring light everywhere!!!🤣🤣🤣
I've got a K75 and love it. I have absolutely no use for it but it's amazing.
Nothing's better than useless power.
Sick bunch of lights there, -Cheule-! Having been lucky enough to see that MF05 in person, I can absolutely attest to it's amazing performance and monstrous heft... I've been very happy with my "little" L7 and it's flashy little brother the L8.
I'm waiting for your neighbors to revolt any day now!
Thx for the video! How come no TS30S?
Great comparison. Love this time of year with the 'best of' videos. I've always had success with Lumintop lights (large & small) and they don't fail to impress here. For me turbo runtimes are a focus. I hate lights that offer a certain performance but only hit it for 20-30 seconds then thermal down sometimes to a much lower output. The GT90 for me. Bright lights and a merry Christmas to all.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for an absolutely brilliant review. I have been pondering whether to get an Astrolux MF05 or an Acebeam K75. I already have an Astrolux MF04S along with a Convoy L7, and I wholeheartedly agree with you about the L7 - it's a fantastic and affordable flashlight to own and I have used it many many times. Although I initially was going for the MF05, I keep being drawn to the K75. What would your advice be? Thanks again for a great video. 👍
K75 all the way if you're an enthusiast and want to impress your friends. It's surprisingly light! and so bright! But if you were doing actual "work" and needed the light on for extended periods, I'd get the much more massive MF05. But it's so damned heavy!
@@cheule Thanks for the reply. I just needed that extra nudge. The K75 it is! Thanks for your help and the very best of regards... 👍
I have the k75 its my fave light of any 👌
It’s a phenomenal light!
If you ever have a chance of testing, the Nitecore TM 39 or another great thrower is the Manker MK 35 ll version two. like I said earlier in my comments great show love watching your performances with your thoughts which means a lot.💪👍💪
I have the acebeam k75, nightwatch stalker, wurkkos TS30S! Now wurkkos has the TS30S PRO!
Hey I was wondering of you still had the mateminco mt70 plus and how that compares to the acebeam k75
dam brother thanks for making this video lol i ve been wanting to get a good thrower and i want the convoy L21A so will see if i can buy one for christmas lol god bless and ill see you in the next one
i own k75 is so good flashlight also thrower and lightweight
Excellent comparison. I was wondering where would Imalent MR90 rank (on its spot mode) in comparison to the Astrolux and BLF GT90?
Also, as a naturalist, I often go looking for mammals at night (both on trees and land; and often at some distance). Which thrower would you think is best for this use-case (since as you can imagine, sometimes you need the flashlight to be working for a few minutes without interruption in such cases while looking to spot an animal)? Thank you
Unfortunately I have no experience with the imalent MR90.
But if you want massively long runtimes, BLF GT90 all the way. It is massively overbuilt for heat distribution and runtime.
@@cheule Thank you! Would be great if you could review the Imalent MR90 sometime soon and tell us where it stacks up against the above Top 5 Throwers of 2022.
The BLF GT90 seems to be out of stock everywhere (hope its not discontinued), with your advice and video I now plan on getting it as soon as it is available.
Great review! I wish Simon would make an L7 with the larger head of the L8. Keep the same driver but just increase the diameter of the optic.
That would be the best of both worlds
Yesssss!
I would love the L7 with a better UI like Anduril and more amperes on turbo :) with 2x 26800s
Indeed, love my L7 but i would be great to see a bigger reflector for it - not that the L7 falls short of my needs at all.
Great channel and you're pretty articulate your descriptions.
Have you tried the Weltool w4 pro with the mf05 side by side? Both are rated at pretty much the same candela and range, does that hold true to the naked eye?
Also one more question. I have an Acebeam w30 and thinking about upgrading to the w4 pro. Is the range difference perceptible enough to be a worthwhile upgrade?
I think LEPs in general are fun, but silly. So even if the MF05 and the W4 Pro have the same cadela (I haven't thought to side my side them on my water tower yet), the MF05 for a similar price will be much more impressive and useful.
I think I realized how silly LEPs actually are the night I was trying to spot some wildlife that darted. Without any useable spill, it was nigh on impossible to keep the prey centered. Spill plays a large role in things like being able to walk a trail, or locating your object wit the hotspot.
But to answer you last question, yes the W4 Pro is noticeably brighter (and greener) than almost any of the other LEPs I've used.
@@cheule Agree with you with how Leps are useless lol. Got the K75 and W30 and though they're a similar cd rating the k75 is much more impressive. Leps are glorified laser pointers.
But I'm itching for something with visibly more throw just for fun, and the mf05's size is off putting and I can get the w4 pro for 140usd cheaper than the mf05 with batteries. If the w4 pro can visibly outrange the k75 and w30 then I'm sold lol, the mf05 is too big. I'll try selling the w30 after the w4 pro.
Very impressive lights!
Which is the longest range and brightest flashlight Lumintop GT94X Or Wuben A1
Wuben A1 is the one to get.
I dont need a GT94x, I dont need a GT94x, I dont need a GT94x, the MT90P is good enough..... right?..... (sees GT94x on Christmas sale on Neals) Shit.....
I know exactly how you feel!
Im looking for a good thrower with descent flood. Could anyone help me with it. My range is 100-200 USD.
Hands down: ua-cam.com/video/hqtBRGRhDMc/v-deo.html
is the difference in range between lumintop gt94x and astrolux mf05 noticeable?
It is. The MF05 has more range for certain. What I was surprised about; however, was that the GT94x out throws the GT90! I would have thought the larger reflector would cinch it for the GT90, but the 4x emitters win.
Which is the best illuminating flashlight?
Take a look at the AceBeam X75. It’s my current favorite “flooder.” A pure monster with an integrated cooling system.
im not sure if any of these appeal to me. The gt94x maybe because its just nuts but the k75 is already a few years old now and id rather get an lep or wait for the laser tech to become better
The K75 is one of the finest SBT90.2 lights on the market. AceBeam knocked it out of the park on that one.
Having many LEPs, I find the K75 much more useful. Remember that the spill is used to locate your distant target. LEPs can be infuriating to track wildlife or distant moving objects with because of the lack of spill.
@@cheule im sure it is but I can't justify getting a light this big. These distances are beyond line of sight anyway, I don't get the appeal if the lumens are the same as a like single cell thrower.
I just bought the k75. Its on the way. Should i buy the gt94xvn sylica also? Im torn
The K75 is awesome! If you want a quad SBT90 thrower, there is only one choice: Wuben A1. See my review.
@@cheule video link? I cannot find it
Killer lineup. I would add the Manker Crown and label it most versatile. The electrochromic lens is pretty epic.
I’ve never used that Crown in person, but I’ve seen videos and used diffusion filters over LEPs before, and I always find it “meh”… the mule-like low CRI, cool light with no hotspot … not a fan!
@@cheule Yeah those aren't great. The Crown's lens doesn't really change the temp or tint of the SBT90, just changes from pure flood to spot. It can do it instantly, smoothly, or a half dozen spots in between. It's expensive and not as bright or focused as bigger lights but still good for 4000 lumens and 900 meters or so.
Fenix HT 18 rocks👍
How does the jkk90 hold up against these
you should add to the comparison the Acebeam K30GT2. You can be surprise.
I have heard about the K30GT and have been told it’s a really nice compact SBT90.2 thrower. Just based on size of the reflector I’d expect it to perform similarly to the L7.
@@cheule The K30GT2 uses 3 18650 bottoms but with magnets, I use the regulars Sony VTC6 and perform better than the L7 in a very pocketable package. Also, it last very long the turbo and does not consume too much power. Try that one. Check this video that i did. ua-cam.com/video/ylxcHPZSapc/v-deo.html
What is better lumintop gt94x or wuben a1?
Wuben has said they will ship me an A1 for comparison. I’m waiting for it.
I like my convoy L8 , more throw than l7 more cd power
You think this lineup is going to change much this year?
I think LEP's have the most pencil beam haha
They absolutely do-to a fault.
add ts30s pro and L8 to see where they rank (probably bottom)
L7 and L8 are very similar. Haven’t used a TS30s Pro.
Where acebeam k75
Amutroch dm90
Wildtrail wt90
Lumintop gt98
Haikelite hk90
Wuben A1
? 😎
k75 is in the video. And GT98 wasn’t even shipping at the time of the video. Wuben A1 should be similar performance to GT98. I’m supposed to get one and review it.
@@cheule I look forward to the GT98 test :)
Can't find the convoy l7 anywhere
Nvm I found it. Do I need to get a battery charger to or does it have USB?
Hi there! Look on aliexpress for “Convoy Flashlight Store” vendor. They’re the official vendor, with the latest versions and best prices. Don’t have aliexpress? Get it. I know I know, but it’s the best way to get Convoy products. Also, L7 has been followed by L8 with built in USB-C charging. So either get the L7 (still a great thrower, and not a lick worse than L8 really) and a charger, or get the L8.
where is convoy l8?
i say it as Ma Te Min Co. no wonder they made AstroLux. haha
I actually said it wrong for a long time. How I said it in this video was taught to me by a rep.
glad i dont live in the house youre lighting up! where is that thing we used to call respect now a days???
It’s not a house. It’s my closed pool. So you assume the worst of people?
conv l7 to 1km? k-mon
I like it this video.
Marry Christmas.
FRANCESCO VIVALDI
Italy.
Thanks for watching!
Chicago.. ZNAJDZIESZ MNIE-?
Polish?
Why only sbt90 throwers ? Where are pocket throwers with SFT'S and osrams ? For portable torches sbt70 is way better then sbt90.
I was going “no holds barred” for this thrower review. My favorite pocket thrower is the TN12 Pro. I like it even more than the MC13 or KR1.
No love for the Convoy 3X21A with SBT90.2? I chose that over the L7 for the three 21700 cells.
I just love the form factor of the Maglite style L7 more!
@@cheule fair enough! For some reason I love a good soda can haha
You can also extend the l7 to hold two 26800
You know I have a FLIR. We can analyze that heat thing.
X9R Marauder lol
Awesome lineup. I'd unsubscribe if I was your neighbor
Everyone makes that mistake. It’s my pool.
HOLLY COW LOOK AT THE ATROLUX LOL THAT THING IS HUGE
D1 mini is superior
No one tested them with lifepo4 cells.
Stock 3,7 batteries are useless in real life. Typical -20C in Tomsk is only 15 minutes of light. Not enousgh to change truckwheel on the lonely road.
All of your reviews are suitable to lighten doggy doo in the park. Somewhere in Florida.
So I disappointed.(
well ill be able to pick witch one is the best lol but the better the more money and yeah i want a good thrower so thanks
Forget LED's. LEP's with adjustable zoom are the best flood and throw lights
I own several LEPs, even two that are zoomable, and the don’t quite operate the same as LEDs.
For once thing, they are high in candela, but low in lumens, so when you adjust the beam large, the output is meager. Another thing is there is not distinct hotspot/corona/spill. I find these parts of the beam are extremely helpful with walking at night. Just enough spill to see the ground, but not blasting your vision.
could a sbt90.2 fit in a warrior x turbo?
Warrior X turbo is a 4040 emitter footprint, and the SBT90.2 is 90110. So a new MCPCB, centering ring and possibly optic would be needed. In other words, it’s not a simple swap.
@@cheule that isn’t what I wanted to hear 😐
