I Watched this in person as a member of the audience. They omitted a lot and edited it out. She cried because of how the press were calling her 'podge spice' over her fluctuating weight (she was going through bulimia) and spoke about meeting Nelson Mandela - not bad for a girl from Watford- her words 😊
@@EileenStar she spoke a bit about her father and how he was a very intelligent, well read man but he kind of gave up on life after having an accident (I think it was a vehicle crash). Same. Mel B was always my favourite and still is but now Geri is really up there for me. I'd love to sit down and talk to her, she's so intriguing. And the love and respect she has for other girls shines through. I LOVED when she was describing the different types of intelligence they have.
The most heartbreaking part of this interview is when she is fighting back tears speaking about the passing of her father. No matter how famous you are, how old you are, or how long it has been, you absolutely never “get over” losing a parent.
Geri handled this interview very well. Piers was trying to make a controversy that the Spice Girls will go against each other, but that so nice that Geri sincerely adore and love her mates.
Geri is a true icon ..as she embodies so much decency in her and niceness and beauty thats within her.. she adores and sees the beauty in her singing mates.. definitely an adorable character and ofcourse she puts so much impact in young girls who looked up to Geri as a role model.. I really loved this Interview with Geri! She was very stunning and I'm so proud of her for going to the 12 step program and getting the help she needed! When I heard about Geri's father I felt for her so much because I too lost my father but to Leukemia not a heart attack. My father died on 9-10-2014 and I am still grieving over him. I also just lost my mother to stage 4 lung cancer 12-2-2020. I'm so glad that she and the other girls had babies of their own and reconnected after years of being apart as a group! I do think Geri was the main reason why the Spice Girls were so successful. She was a team leader (yes, I know she conflicted with Mel B), but she had a motherly instinct that drove her to know what was best for the other girls.
It's so emotionally compelling what Geri says about losing a parent. My sister and I, our mother is currently going through chemotherapy and has been for a very long time... It absolutely devastates me to think she will be gone and that it will be just us two siblings. Yet I also think of the strength our mother will leave in us. +Angela Marie He's seeing how honest she's going to be,he was in charge of the Mirror when the spice girls were big,and knew a lot of the background gossip about them. Geri does a job well in attempting to change the subject but I appreciate what he's doing in assessing, whether she's going to be open and honest about her history or a closed book based on what he'd have known from back in the day. For the record, she was lying through her teeth and deflecting in the initial 7 minutes or so. He probably gauged the rest of his questions on how badly she answered the 1st set
Geri’s debut solo single reached number 2 in the British charts, but was then followed by 4 CONSECUTIVE #1 hit singles!!! And that was followed by 3 CONSECUTIVE top 10 singles!!! By far the most successful Spice Girl solo career! RESPECT!!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😁
@@rayoflight6505 Well, my facts are based on chart positions. Maybe from another perspective Mel C was more successful. I don’t know 🙂They were both in the top 2 😊
Yes but she didn't have the most successful solo career by far. That is Mel C and she isn't my fave, Victoria is!! Mel C had the best selling singles, albums, more number 1s overall in all countries!! She has sold the most records, therefore she is the most successful, every one knows these facts. She still has a career, 8 albums and had a top 10 album recently. Respect for the most successful spice girl too 😁😁😁

i never bought the Mel vs. Geri theory....but now i do. But she presents herself so well. so beautifully self aware. I admire her for quitting because it was a dangerous thing to do for her career and her life. but as i said, self aware. really strong confidence to know it was time to leave and not look back. I love every Spice Girl though. (maybe Geri knew way ahead of time that the party wasn't going to last that much longer).
There were the problem of them apparently dating for a bit and that caused some drama. I do believe that they were incredibly overworked and exhausted and needed a break.
When she says a gucci dress I think Victoria:It's always the same idk what to wear Mel C:you know Victoria somethings something something Mel C: you could wear the little Gucci dress or The Little Gucci Dress!
I just love all of them...Geri was incredibly sexy in the Too Much video, like WOW. I really like the way she speaks, very down to earth.
Geri’s debut solo single reached number 2 in the British charts, but was then followed by 4 CONSECUTIVE #1 hit singles!!!
And that was followed by 3 CONSECUTIVE top 10 singles!!! By far the most successful Spice Girl solo career! RESPECT!!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😁
i liked her solo career
Agree though Mel Cs crazy fans will likely attack your facts. 🙄
Respect for the most successful spice girl too 😁😁😁
@@rayoflight6505 Mel C fans are always nice. You always attack and bully everyone with all your fake nicknames.... Did or didn't you call Victora and Mel C ugly, anorexic, fat?? You did and I reported all your comments! You're a jealous crazy fan. You should get a life because geri doesn't care about you and you're living a miserable life 🙄😊
Can't stand him as a interviewer. He never lets people finish what they are saying. Look how he keeps cutting in on Geri
I can’t stand him as a human being.
@@Tad1945 Matt hancock voted down the marcus Rashford food plan so peirs is right to tear him a new one. and the BOJO Covid plan
i never bought the Mel vs.
She’s so pretty
What characteristic he says at 43:16??? What word is that?
Virile. It's a french loan word which describes a man who's masculine and having a strong sex drive.
it only took piers 9 years to finally get the truth about mel b and geri
When she says a gucci dress I think Victoria:It's always the same idk what to wear Mel C:you know Victoria somethings something something Mel C: you could wear the little Gucci dress or The Little Gucci Dress! Emma:Oh! I know you should wear DADADA The Little Gucci Dress! Victoria:That's a great idea thanks Em
lol same xD
I do not get what any of this means. It doesn't make sense
Geri is more attractive now she is older.
It’s all so unfair. How can someone be always hot in their life and I look like a dog wearing human clothes.
