New Japanese 1000 Yen

On July 3, 2024, the nation of Japan issued a new series of banknotes. Japanese banknotes have some of the best security, engraving, and visual beauty seen on any modern note. This new family is no exception.
Under the Great Wave off Kanagawa, an artwork by Katsushika Hokusai appears as the main theme of this Banknote.

I think this Japanese artwork was the first use of Prussian Blue pigment in Japan.

Japanese artist Hokusai's Daughter, Katsushika Oi, was also an influential artists. Her masterpiece, Display room in Yoshiwara at Night.

Nowadays, many kids don't get to hands-on real dollar notes due to far too many Cashless E-payment methods, IC cards, and Credit Cards. I wonder wallet will one day replaced by smartphone??? 🙃
