Great video thanks for the time stamps. Is it a problem for the mini computer to have the power cut on and off when you start and shut down the vehicle?
Thanks! I make sure to shut the computer down before turning off the car but also I have it and the screen tied into an always on fuse and a switch. So if I'm making a quick pit stop I just leave it on. And since I really only use this for trips, I don't want power to the screen all the time, I just flip the rocker switch.
I just checked Amazon and unfortunately it is not available. This video is quite old. The monitor still works awesome though! Here is the link anyway. www.amazon.com/dp/B073J36HGH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_3rOPFbBGWNXNR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I am thinking about installing a 20" or 25" or maybe two of them so that I can move them to the sides to allow for full view of rearview mirror and back window and would have two HUGE screens! With the kodi setup you can download and play video games as well! I plan on getting a WiFi hotspot built directly in as well so that we can access the internet anytime instead of just when at hotspots like Tim Hortons or McDonald's etc
Say goodbye to rearview mirror and say hello to cops pulling you over because you are being a nuisance to traffic behind you having a big light show coming out of your car.. no thanks..
Getting ready to install this in my 09 F250 6.4 Diesel. for those long road trips towing our camper trailer.
Nice, I still love mine!
Good video ,but it’s little long ,and why not use beige color roof monitors ?
I was kinda hoping to see the neodymium magnet approach.
Hi, how did you RIP movies onto the hard drive, was there a specific program you used?
Can you put the link of the product you used please
the hardware store carries square tubing to brace the mount
What type of usb is that? Cause i have installed a overhead dvd player and put in a usb inside and still nothing shows on the screen.. what can i do?
Some DVD players have codex..
great job

How does the mini pc do streaming download HD video? Does it get choppy or slow?
I have ripped my dvds to a hard drive so that's what we use in the car, but the pc itself streams just fine.
Doesn't this block your rear view mirror? Or is that electric as well?
Depends on your car,
What's the brand and model of this mini pc?
Unfortunately that one isn't being sold anymore but there are lots of them. On amazon. It doesn't take much to run kodi so any of them should work.
Just get a good bluetooth dongle in the intel nuc and hook up bluetooth headphones up to it or connect it to the car
How’s it been so far?
I need the exact model number please

Why go through all this? $50 hdmi to lighting port adapter and just use Netflix/Disney+\youtubetv.
Because some people (like me) prefer a full built-in entertainment system in their vehicle
This doesn’t work for a cars
how many inches is the monitor?
This one was a 13 inch. I put one in 2 of my cars and they've worked great for years.

Does it support dual channel IR headphones?
I want to know this as well
@@normanb8s No, this support Bluetooth headphone.
Yeah, never pull on a headliner.,, They're not all Velcro. Usually around the dome light, there's a screw holding it in to the roof
Where can I get that mini computer with bracket?
Never use wire nuts in automotive electrical
Why not?
@@codygarrett3123 it's not the propper connection, they can vibrate lose and cause a fire, at the least you should use crimp connectors
Model number
Can’t see any wires they are off screen lmao
When you said use wire nuts I threw up in my mouth a little bit

Gino Foogle you realize plenty of cars have factory DVD players right?
Lol, ever heard of privacy tinted windows that come factory fitted?
