The bike itself is fantastic and I think really outclasses it’s competitors

Did this mf just compare an R1 to a 450cc bike? I just saw an R1 and the 450ss on a showroom today and the R1 is over 12k more💀

@AC399 because you made a review of a beginner friendly bike compared to a literal legend of a bike. A more appropriate comparison would be something in its cc or close to it and actually compare the same engine instead of a parallel twin to an inline 4. Throws people off, especially young riders
Keep the videos coming I just purchased one 2 months back and it'll be interesting to see what mods you do considering parts are hard to find..

The bike is OK considering I'm a new rider and all the safety features is why I chose the bike... It's pretty cool having a seasoned experience rider give there take on the bike it helps me to understand the bike a little more.
@@campdee7183 I think it’s a great bike for the price. Also for a new rider I don’t think you can get something better! So I think you picked the right choice. I hope you enjoy it and it serves you well.

My Bluetooth nav works great. No issues with the app.
I have no problem with torque (for its size) and it’s plenty quick. I come off an FXR (1340cc), KZ1000, and CB750. This bike, for me, is the most fun, has more than plenty to satisfy my street riding needs without having to majorly break laws, and looks great. If they’re good enough to make parts and engines for European builders for the last several years, they’re good enough for me.
To each his own.

Well. You can not compare this to an R1. The 450SS is less than half the displacement or the R1. The only similarity is that they are both sport bikes and the both have a cross plane crank. The 450ss does have a very light clutch feel. That’s the way they designed it. That bike has the highest power to weigh ratio in its class. It’s definitely unfortunate that the app is not working for you. The tech offered with this bike is absolutely amazing considering bikes that cost twice the price don’t offer what comes with this one from the factory. The dash with connectivity and full LED lights & the ability to hot swap from standard to GP shifting out of the box.
Absolutely! The only reason I compared to the R1 is just because I own an R1 haha

Cool bike nonetheless, lots of fun
Its not meant to be a fast bike its meant to be a quick fun bike. My biggest gripe is that their isnt a 4 cylinder version like the zx4rr with 75 hp. The zx4rr is heavy and costs way more than what its worth. Also sport bike gear boxes are sequential so theyre typically all clunky
All good points! I do feel like the CF gear box is more clunky than others. And totally agree on the zx4rr it’s a shame the price is so high
CFMoto just demoed a 500cc bike, should be out next year.

Let me tell you the 5 things I absolutely hate about this bike. But there's nothing I hate about this bike. Bruh

Every person is different we have our own likes and dislikes some people might like it or hate it.
About the light clutch, have you tried just using the slipper clutch? How is it?

@@user-vc8nf8qx3kspecial clutch that a lot more manufacturers are using. Allows you to engine brake and downshift without having to rev match and it helps prevent the rear wheel from locking up on you in that scenario where you downshift and either dont hit the rev match or just dont try to. Really nice feature that works very well. Also makes learning to ride for beginners much easier

From what I know the bike was made with the idea for how do you call it in English drag? That’s why the it’s short to change gears and the whatever it was called in the left handlebar is soft

I got the naked version of this, i think is the fastest in its class.. i race it against a cbr500 and a duke 390adv so far (friends bikes) and i was clearly the winner and i am the heaviest dude. As for navigation goes it does not work and most of the features that are on the app are not working on that screen (yes features depends on the screen). We only get the tracker and the telematics, both useless and bad not worth the extra$$. Aside the tech and the whistles its a great bike and i love it. Using it on European city roads is a charm. Well build and extremely fun to ride.

anything under the 400 class is all the same imo. when youre looking at anything under look at engine specs and sounds the most and what you like to look at the most also the most comfortable

Yes. I get the gear clunk (especially on down shifts) which really annoys me. I daily ride mine too.

Yeah. I love the bike but the one I test rode had silky smooth gear changes. I think there is something wrong. I'm taking mine back today and get them to have a look at it. I will let you know.

I was there at the dealers last night and they insisted that my bike was normal, then last night I checked the oil and even though I just had the 1st service 1 week ago, the oil level was below the minimum level. That's why the gears was changing so clunky. I think the mechanic misread the manual. They are suppose to fill the oil level to the minimum when the bike is on the side stand, but the manual doesn't clarify that. The mechanic filled the oil to the minimum when the bike is in the upright position on their service stands, which means on the lean position there is no oil. That's why the bike was changing gears so clunky. Thanks for your help.
@@AC399 Hi. I just wanted to reach out and see if your gear changes were still harsh? As per my last comment, I found that the dealer had been filling the oil level below the empty like.
My gear shift are now much better. Not clunky like it was. It shifts into gears much nicer than before.

There’s things the CF Moto is better at.. like the brakes, the screen, etc
And there are things my R1 does better
I just think it’s interesting how such a cheap bike can do some things better
And at the end of the day I own my CF Moto and my R1 so I can compare anything I’d like to.

@@AC399I have the same issue and I run iPhone it’s still new plus it’s a china app and we’re n America depending on when u purchased it if it’s still new it has trouble finding ur serial number that’s my only downside to this I want my navigation so I don’t hav to hold my phone n the hand😂 no ram mounts for me

Man, my VW Golf is pretty slow compared to the Porsche 911 in my garage, way less torque-y too, at least it's faster than my honda jazz, but still, I wish it was as fast as my Porsche

The gears are definitely short. I don’t even take off in 1st gear, it’s always in 2nd even from a dead stop. I don’t like first gear unless your on a hill or incline.
Yeah first gear sucks😂 as soon as you start going you need to shift to second lol
And sometimes starting from second can be annoying with how little torque it is😂 but fun bike nonetheless

Dont get me wrong im not tryna hate i understand what you mean with being used used to the r1. But thats exactly what confuses me a little, why did you even choose the cfmoto?even amateur riders call the r7 slow, but you get a nice and peppy bike that can hold its own. Only thing you lose out on is the tft display and the price. But it seems like the r7 would be the perfect “slow” bike for honing your skills more coming from an r1.

@AC399 in Ontario, I'm 22 with m2 (clean record) apparently I'm a high risk individual, my gs500f is only about 200 a month (which is expansive but still reasonable) and the 450SS is a lower cc then the gs500f, but it's because my age and also g2 and it's apparently a "super sport"

But if you already know how to ride, throw the R1 in rain mode and it’s actually quite easy to ride.
Like I said this video is nitpicking and was more just something to upload. The 450ss is a fantastic bike and if you’re looking for a first bike, it’s honestly amazing.
TBH around town the 450 is much more fun to ride. Especially with how easy it is to flick around. I’d love to track it and see how it performs!

Thumbs down for you being ignorent...power and torque are great for its class, this is not a liter bike, so no point comparing it to an R1...nav works fine on mine...sure, clutch ia a bit on the softer side, but that's great for commuting

In Kenya 90% ride the 100-150cc mostly Chinese bikes and they're crazy fast and breaking every rule possible😂 200cc-500cc are exemplary cool these are the majority of big bikers and a few would dare 500cc upwards cause the traffic is no place to ride a Ducati😂 you'll be a statistic ... Kenyan roads is plagued with disorders and wild and domestic animals crossing the roads😂 second only to India

It's that you compared a 450cc bike to an R1 I mean bruh the 450sr/ss is the most powerful of it's class and a far superior to the Ninja400 and if you don't know the Ninja400 reign for how many years the place of king in the 400cc class, the power of the 450 is 100% greater than than other bikes outperforming, Ninja400/Z400, KTM DUKE/RC390, R3/MT03 BMW BENELLI BRISTOL. Bro don't compare a litre bike to a lightweight.

I love the bike. The video was just for fun. I did say it’s hard to find anything to complain about. I compare it to my R1 because well I can. Some things the CF moto does better and some things the R1 does better
