How are you? I am not too shabby - but I can't wait for the weekend!
Here is another grocery haul and meal plan from the other week! Enjoy! And have a lovely evening! xx
MEAL PLAN
THURSDAY - Pasta and stir in sauce with garlic bread.
FRIDAY - Cricket night - kids charcuterie board. Cocktail sausages, cheese and crackers, salami, pickles, grapes, hummus, breadsticks, cucumber and tomatoes. I filmed a reel over on my Instagram if you are curious!
SATURDAY - Out at my auntie’s for a family get-together
SUNDAY - Chicken thighs and drumsticks with smashed roast potatoes, and salad
MONDAY - Ramen night!
TUESDAY - Baked potato station - an oldie, but a goodie!
WEDNESDAY - Chicken satay salad.

I'm a 35 year-old mum of three, who lives in Cheshire, in the UK, and this is my small part of the online world, where I share parts of my life - whether that's the day-to-day stuff, motherhood, recipes, or all that other stuff that makes me, me. I'm married to Mark, who is honestly my best mate, and we have three children, Bill, Daisy and Stanley, and they seem to be growing up so darn fast these days. I have the tendency to ramble a bit. Life did not go to plan for me, but I am very grateful for that, otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today.
As for this channel, you might find everything from food videos, clothing hauls, home updates, vlogs now and again, and some topics close to my heart, such as coparenting, mental health, hearing loss and Stickler Syndrome too. I am a very average mum, but I try my absolute best at whatever I do, and hopefully you enjoy following along!
If you wrap some tin foil round the stalks of the bananas it slows down the browing of them!!!! Thankyou for some meal/snack inspo 😅❤

In answer to your questions:
My grocery day is Friday. Every other day is hectic, especially Thursdays! I’m a midwife and one of my shifts is Wednesday night shift, after which I sleep for about 3 hours on Thursday then take the kids to swimming after school and it’s exhausting!
*favourite herb is probably parsley. Give me a tabbouleh any day - such an underrated salad! Funny story, though - as a young adult I despised coriander. I even joined ‘I hate coriander’ groups on Facebook circa 2008 😅. It always tasted soapy. However, now I LOVE it. One day my taste just switched completely. I’m an extra coriander kinda woman now
Hi Charlotte, I am with you I love picky tea time to I think that's the best kind of tea and I don't like eating early either and your meals of the week sounds lovely different meals ideas trying to found something different and always the same old food need to try try new foods etc ,yes I am with you seafood is a no for me and I love marmite great video by the way take care xx
Hi Charlotte, I’m so with you about eating early! Me and the hubby just can’t get used to the 5pm tea slot with our 2 year old and 9 month old even though we know it’s important to have family meals sometimes! I’m sure we’ll get used to it 😂 such great ideas as always thank you xxx

I've seen a few people mention how bad bananas are from Tesco. I never buy mines from there. If I have bananas that are really ripe I slice them up put them in food bags and put them in the freezer and use them to make ice cream with other frozen fruit. Also saw someone put tinfoil round the top of them when in a bunch to stop them from ripening so quickly
Why not freeze bananas (peeled) then put in the freezer. Use the skin for the garden. My plants are so healthy now xx
Make your own garlic bread- stale toast is fine with a layer of cheese and grate garlic

And you people get it, it's saving costs and waste! Why not, when the quality is almost the same?
Apart from mushrooms I can't freeze them...they turn out watery!

Coriander is an elite herb .I put it in salads , omelette, curry , fajitas, well most stuff really ! 😋 😊
We do a Friday morning now as I don’t work so can collect it after school run and I like a fully stocked cupboard for the weekend. Apart from when we go away for weekend! I prefer click and collect Tesco, Asda but I’m lactose intolerant so I find they offer my intolerances. I like Aldi and lidle for kids snacks so once kids have pack lunch I may have to shop there! Plus doing it online I can always change it! If I go into store I buy way too much! And look round the clothes, toys etc which is very naughty! X
Opposite for me haha I buy online as don't have a car to transport a months/few weeks haul...
I buy more online as can't see that quantity... I buy too much chocolate for my husband 😂
He hates me, he's trying to build muacle😂😂
I have had this keep happening with the bananas too 🤔
Monday for me as I clean the kitchen Sunday or Monday so I like it that everything is put away in a clean kitchen, especially fridge items, it means the fridge is at its emptiest when I give it a wipe around before it’s filled again xx

You can freeze bananas, just peel them first xx

Ive heard that if you separate all the bananas they dont go over ripe as quick.
I’m Bengali and ofc I love coriander! 😂 - also another Bengali thing we do is make those koka noodles Bengali style im sure there lots of UA-cam videos out there with the recipes but basically it’s chopped onions fried in little oil, salt and spices added we normally add curry powder, garam masala etc, we add potatoes, cut into tiny cubes an egg scrambled up some fresh chillies and coriander too! So delish!!! Xx 😊
I love coriander, I could have it on everything🤣 I should probably grow it! I really like eating as a family and we do it at the weekend but practically doesn’t always happen and can relate to wanting to eat alone 😂we also like different things and it’s my way of having some time after a busy day! Xxxx
We do a big shop once/twice a month on a Friday (hubs does this while me and the kids are at school) and I do packed lunch/top up on Saturday morning x
Thursday food shop as well 😊
Put the banana's in the freezer and have them like ice cream. Xx
