hello everyone! thank you so much for watching:)
If you are wondering as to why some popular King books are not in this video, feel free to watch a more updated version: ua-cam.com/video/thxGyKqthVI/v-deo.html :)
why didnt she have IT?
I must let you know Stephen King used a pseudonym once when he was in his twenties and while he wrote Carrie. He went by Richard Bachman.
His 5 books were Thinner, The Runnning Man, Roadwork, The Long Walk, and Rage.
I’m a freshman just getting into Stephen king, right now I’m reading The Shining but I’m almost done and I don’t know what other books I should read as a starter, what do you recommend?
I’m currently reading IT, it’s my first Stephen King novel so far. I love his writing style, so cool to read a book with so many more layers too it than just a killer clown.
Preston Lewis same here that’s the first book I’ve read from him and I’m currently reading 11/22/63
I just wanna say that it warms my heart to see a young person so enthusiastic about books and Stephen King :) Not that I'm very old (mid-thirties), but it's still nice to see that young people are fans of books, reading, and King! Keep on reading :)
thank you:))
i just started reading IT 😄🤡 My first stephen king!!!
How’d it go
You should read gwendys button box. Not very scary but it was my first too and I rate it 5,000%
SAMEEEEEE
Same!!!
I've read The Shining, Pet Sematary, 11/22/63, It and am currently reading The Stand.
My favorite Stephen Kings books are
1. Needful things
2. Doctor Sleep
3. IT
4. The Shining
5. Misery
6. Pet Sematary
Which genre are these books?
@Theboywholovesreading isn’t it so good?
@@melaniedownes1752: I saw the movie twice and I still don't get it. What's so great about the story? And what's with that throwing mud on someone's nice clean sheets hanging on the line?
@@floogelhornzzz4770 it has more of a mystery to it like what happened at the warehouse store and it’s very interesting to see how the owner has these baseball cards for Brian
Kids should have the right to read Stephen king like this if u are with me.
Iread it and im 10
I'm 12 and I read Stephen king
I'm twelve and I'm almost done with IT
I started HEARTS IN ATLANTIS when I was 13, now I'm 18 ... read 3 of his books so far ...
IT is the first Stephen King book I have read and the only so far
I recommend reading the body, or stand by me, whatever you call it. It’s not that scary but it’s ok.
I loved 11/22/63! have you read it already? And you are right. It's so much more than just time travel and stopping assasination. It has one of the best romantic subplots I've ever read.
Marko my fucking favourite book from Stephen. this story is insane 😇
The Stand and the Dark Tower series is my favorite work from king.
My sis said that with those braces u look like a cute vampire, kinda agree XDD. Love your channel!
She can bite ME if she wants. 😁
If you don't know who Steven King is you have been living under a rock
I loved the shining and now I'm currently reading doctor sleep. So far it's really good
Currently 320 pages in of reading IT. Absolutely love Stephen King I have 15 of his books. Nobody will ever top him.
ayee I'm on page 322 XD glad you love his work as well!
11.22.63 is utterly incredible! Get stuck in right now!!!
I have 26 of his books. I got them all in a huge book haul from a yard sale for 40 dollars (I also got a ton of other books). And it was great.
that's awesome!!
My first Stephen King book I read was Nightmares & Dreamscapes now I'm reading Carrie and about to get IT
Wow, I loved your video! I'm in my 40s now but the first Stephen King book I read was The Stand in 7th grade. It was amazing! My teacher didn't believe me that I read the whole thing since it was so long. My daughter is the same way and goes through long books pretty fast (especially if it's a good one!) I look forward to watching more of your videos. You're amazing! It really gives me great hope for the future when I see young people like you out there. Best wishes!
awhh thank you! 7th grade that's impressive lmao! :) Thanks again, so happy you liked the video =)
I love stephen king. Started with the Shining.
my first stephen king was..IT😂 LOVED the shit out of this book and bought carrie, joyland and the bazaar of bad dreams, can’t wait to start reading them
props for being one of the few younger "booktubers" i've come across with something more than YA books on your shelves. read It next. it's an awesome book. but really, almost everything he does is good, most of his longer books are actually his best books. for short stories, nightmares and dreamscapes is pretty good, and four past midnight has 4 pretty cool novellas
+recitador hah, thanks for the recs! :)
I love how passionate you are about King's work! I seriously need to read some of his books!
Haha thanks Holly! You definitely should ;)
I didn't really read the comments so I am sorry if you answered this question already but have you read 11/22/63 yet? and if so did you enjoy it and just tell me some what of your thoughts on it were if you so wish. (it is one of my favorites out of his newer-ish books)
+Tyler Cobb I actually have yet to read it:( I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
Julia Sapphire Thank you :))
np!:)
i love the shining. you should read "It"
I have:)
@@JuliaSapphire I am currently reading the shining
I don’t think they get you joke I do😂😂
@@poorprofit9605: I don't think it was.
The Stand was the first Stephen King book I read, when I was 17, his best as far as I'm concerned, my all time favourite. It's great that you haven't read it yet, you are in for a treat, enjoy.
Glad you loved it!! Thank you :D
I love your collection! ♥ I would really recommend under the dome it's incredibly fast-paced and different seasons the short stories in that are incredible especially apt pupil which actually got made into a film ages ago really recommend them! :)
+Eva Cassidy thank you Eva!!
Glad you enjoy his work! I'm currently binge reading all the ones I haven't read...about to finish The Dark Tower 7.
+mike79p thank you for watching! Enjoy marathoning the dark tower series :)
The stand and IT are my favorites
Both huge.
I have:
It
Three Dark Towers, The Wastelands, Wizard and Glass, The Dark Tower
Desperation
The Running Man
And Lisey’s Story.
So many more to collect.
Awesome video and review hope to see more Stephen King reviews done in-depth.
Once again awesome job and great presentation keep up the good work!
+UA-cam RuinedMyLife Why thank you:D
I recently bought all the Dark Tower books in that format that you have, and I'm on the third book and I'm enjoying the hell out of them so far.
The Gunslinger is definitely the most vague. But they have only gotten better as I've went. You should definitely try and read them eventually.
Nice video:)
+Isaac Punch thank u! I am actually currently rereading The Gunslinger so I can continue with the rest of the series:)
I have It, The Shining, The Stand, Mr. Mercedes, Pet Cemetery, The Mist, Needful Things, and Misery.
I have Dark Forces by Kirby McCauley, the book in which The Mist first appeared. Bought the paperback at a variety store in Toronto. Rare.
My first Stephen King book was Carrie, when I was 11 years old (now 36). The second was IT, which scared the crap out of me. The third was Needful Things, then Dolores Claiborne when King started to change his writing style a bit.
In high school I read Salem's Lot for the first time, but I had already seen the movie years before that. It's hard to say which I like best, because they all have something special. But I will say that IT scares me the most, lol. Carrie is probably the one that I'm most fond of because I felt bad for her and I understood her situation.
Rose Madder was great too...wish they made a movie!
Have you read Pet Sematary?
@Roze Olifant...only bits and pieces, not all of it.
But I will one day. I’ve seen the original movie many times, though, and I might watch the new one.
Stephen Kind truly is one of the greatest writers
+tom Ska true
You should see The Shining movie!
I love the us covers of king books, we have different covers here in the uk, im trying to collect every book in hardcover and getting shipped over from us. Your videos are cool :)
thanks :)
I have Carrie, and the barns n Nobel exclusive Carrie, Salem’s Lot, and The Shinning, Pet Sematary And firestarter. I don’t have it but I did read it. My all time fav is Carrie I just finished reading it the third time yesterday? Now I’m reading Salem’s Lot good so far!
I picked up Pet Sematary months ago, because I was curious and really wanted to get into Stephen King's books. However, I put it on hold so long that I've read like 15 books in the mean time. However, I suddenly got a huge pang of urge to read his book. I came up on UA-cam to watch reviews of his books, and I stumbled upon your video. Kinda surprised that I watched the entire video, cause your content is amazing. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks so much :D
I'm currently reading IT. I read some of Thinner, but never finished it because I borrowed it and my sister wanted it back. I bought 5 books to start: Misery, Dolores Claiborne, IT, Joyland and Insomnia.
I’m currently reading IT
The Stand is my favorite book of all time! 11.22.63 is my second favorite book.
I really liked The Shining, Dreamcatcher, and of course The Dark Tower.
Great video :D
+kurodutch thank you!!:)
Great video! I think my top 3 favourite Stephen King books, out of the 10 I've read so far, are (in no particular order) 'Salem's Lot, The Long Walk, and The Drawing of the Three.
Thankyou!! Ou very nice :)
Thanks Julia you got me into reading Stephen king and now I've read the shining ,mr Mercedes and Carrie. You're one of my favourite UA-camrs and my favourite booktuber. I'm planning on reading under the dome next

Gaming with Jazz bravo. That’s what happens when you get lost in a book.
Hey I'm 20 so a little bit older than you id guess, I own 60 of Kings novels and have read 33 so far. I really haven't seen many booktubers mention King or really many adult novels... So your awesome :)
So glad you love the Mr. Mercedes Trilogy I would recommend IT and as a starter King book Full Dark No Stars or The Green Mile (which is one of his less creepy novels)
damn that''s a good ratio! ayeee thanks :)
I do need to read "It" so bad ah. Thanks for watching ^.^
You're my fav booktuber and the fact that you love Stephen makes me more in love.
+zahraa harb Aw thank you so much!:)
Julia Sapphire you deserve it.Trust me
Cujo is one of my all time favourite books. Like top 5 for sure. I read it at christmas and I'm obsessed with it. Please read it again! It's so good!
+Tara Taillon omg that's awesome! Maybe I will;))
Greetings from Oz. Glad to find another Stephen King book lover. I have a few of his hardback first editions as well as the Cemetery Dance editions of Carrie and 'Salem's Lot with alot of supplementary material such as deleted scenes etc
+David Richardson that's really cool:)
I am such a fan of King & I always love it when I find others that are obsessed with him :) Great Collection btw The Stand is such an amazing book It is so worth the size :) I need to read his crime trilogy I have the first book :)
Thank you! I am so looking forward to The Stand! That trilogy is so amazing :D
Carrie was his first novel also read his book Geralds game, it's amazing, you need to go into it without knowing anything.
+Isaac Ceillam ou yes thanks for the rec
11/22/63 is such an amazing read, didn't even notice the size when I was reading
Glad you enjoyed it so much:D
Awesome Stephen King collection. You should definitely keep collecting and reading him, he's 100% my favourite author to read because he's entertaining, but there is always something hiding in the background of his writing as well. It's not just a superficial experience but it's not (usually) a task to get through his books. I'm thinking of filming a video for my own Stephen King collection, so it's nice to see other people are also interested in him as an author. I would be interested to know what you wrote about for your papers on The Shining and Salem's Lot.
+Reading Into It Glad you adore his work so much! The shining was just like a basic book report lol and Salem's Lot was a ton of notes on theme, characterization and that sort of jazz
Great video. The first Stephen king book I read was Firestarter it was pretty good
Just started reading King, since I had to work on it for one of mine creative classes. He is such a great writer.
+Fernando Manriquez yes yes he is!!:)
The Stand is my absolute favorite!!
started my collection yesterday w/ revival. totally sucked me in, will not disappoint!!
woo good luck!!:)
I love Stephen King so much I can't wait for his next novel. He's inspired me
aw that's amazing!
what I love about books is finding them.I found all of Dan Brown's books in perfect condition from charity shops.Only 1 euro each.I couldn't believe it.People giving away great books like it's nothing lol..I have IT which I bought for 8.99, but i'm hoping to find more of Stephen's books for cheap in some charity shops.I used to hate reading but now as an adult, I love it.Anyway, great collection.
yess deals and thrift buys are my favs! thank u hah
Misery... just putting that out there. It’s my favorite novel of all time, just seeing the mind games between Annie and Paul is a thing of pure terror XD.
Facts, Misery is sooo good
I think a great prank would be to send a single copy of Misery to all your favorite authors. No letter, nothing but the book.
That happened to George R. R. Martin once. I think some fan was just messing with him.
What did you think about Cujo? Do you think his story is tragic?
Awesome collection! You should also give the shining a watch, I personally think the movie is amazing.. but there are a couple differences but I honestly don't mind it
+vloggie300 thank you!! Glad u liked the movie:D
it's so awesome to see a teen that reads so much. Your bookshelf behind you is life. Keep it up. Recreational reading is becoming an anomaly in this generation.
thanks so much lol
It's not really an official series of books, but Needful Things, The Dead Zone, Cujo, and The Dark Half are all set (at least partially) in Castle Rock. That is my latest project.
+Daniel Huffman ou cool!!
Omg people still actually read! I'm impressed lol King has been hit and miss on occasion but he's a pretty solid author altogether. Never heard of "Doctor Sleep" might have to check that out. Great video, subbed for sure.
+james harper Thank you!!:) Hope you enjoy Doctor Sleep!
did you actually read it. or just like the cover art
I read The Green Mile this month and absolutely loved it! I'm also currently reading his short story collection Skeleton Crew :)
Oh that's so great! Hope your enjoying the short story collection :D
This one u don't have I think but IT is actually my favorite, or was is children of the corn?
+Hard Shadow Glad u enjoyed it so much!
Try 'It' it's terrifying. The pacing is so good you won't feel the bulk.
+raju maulick I'm really excited to read it!
Would you recommend his crime trilogy?
I started with Under the Dome when it came out. read it in 3 days, I've been hooked since. Started collecting his hardcovers. Keep on reading!
+Mike Brown's Mother glad you enjoy his work!:)
i haven't read any of his book and really wanna read so this was actually very helpful thank you
I found it very helpful too, as i haven't red an of his book before either! :)
+quinn king I'm glad you enjoyed thank uu!
The STAND is LONG, the uncut release is about 1200 pages. But I finished it in about a week, it was so good.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
A week? Impossible!
The stand has to be one my favorite King books, very much recommended.
I have been trying to get through christine, but it is moving along slowly lol. Guess it may not be my thing, i am tempted to give one of his other works a chance tho
+鹿晗 definitely give his other works a chance!!
Julia Sapphire i'll try xD
11-22-63 Is my favorite Stephen King book... Don’t wait... Read it... This book is so amazing!!
Night Shift and Skeleton Crew are great collections to pick up if you're in a classic King mood. Nightmares & Dreamscapes is rather hit-and-miss, even for a short story collection, but it includes some of my favorite King short stories: "Suffer the Little Children", "Popsy", "The Moving Finger", "Sneakers". Everything's Eventual holds a certain place in my heart because it was the first "adult" book I tried reading (I was in the 4th grade and hot off the heels of "My Teacher is an Alien" by Bruce Coville). "1408" might be one of King's most suspenseful stories. I HIGHLY recommend the audio book, performed by the King himself. Spooky stuff.
Wow, I apologize for the Stephen King-length comment. I could talk about this dude for hours. His books literally helped me through middle-school.
+UncannyValleyVideos ou thank you for sharing all of your thoughts and opinions :))
I'd have to go with It, or Carrie, or the Shining! You're really pretty by the way! Would you recommend for an 8th grader to read IT in school?
ha thankss. In 8th grade, I believe your around 13ish... I personally think I'm going to make a video about age restrictions and stuff. I usually hate to give them out because I believe that it's not about a number but about maturity. It really depends on what this person can handle and if they have ever read anything as graphic before...
oh my god, i started reading Mr. Mercedes yesterday and I think it may end up being my new favorite King novel.
+Andrew Smith yayyyy!!!:)
I highly recommend Stephen King.
It’s my favorite Stephen King book. I highly recommend it. I love Pet Sematary. I like the full dark, no stars which they have is the short stories. I have read Salem’s lot also and I thought it was really good. I highly recommend IT. It was super good. If you like Salem’s lot you’ll definitely like IT. I also read The Bag of Bones and I thought it was ok. My least favorite was Cujo though and Carrie. I didn’t like the girl with Tom Gordon though. I am planning on reading sleeping beauties, the dark tower series, the outsider and Christine as well. Thank you for showing this video. Any more videos of books you would like to show us?
I love the shining alot and reading IT now too
David Laguna same
I just finishe reading IT. I did a video review of each chapter, and now I’m working on my review of the whole book. The Shining is my favorite book period.
First time I see a booktuber that has YA books AND Stephen King books. A lot of booktubers have none of his books, even though they're so good! Read "It" in the summer and loved it. 👌🏼
+BlackDiamond LOL yeahh! Glad you loved It, thanks for watching :)
I love your whole persona lol watching this video cracked me up.
+Illhexyou lol thank you:D
Loved King since I was a kid, there's some duds but Pet Semetary, The Long Walk, Misery, The Dead Zone and Different Seasons are excellent. Also all his short story collections are excellent it's worth checking out Night Shift and Skeleton Crew. 1408 is so much better on the page. I enjoyed Revival as well, haven't read all of his new stuff but I really enjoyed that.
Salems lot never read the book but seen the movie. Good creepy movie. I seen more movies based off his books then read his books. Just listened to the night shift audio book though. Very immersive. He is probably my favorite writer as far as story telling and characters and how he gets u into it
+HollyWood Tre yes King is amazing 👏
The Shining is the best one in my opinion, but it is scary as hell. I didn't understand it entirely when I first watched it, but now, it's more clear.
Good luck with your braces. I used to wear braces and went through a lot of pain but I had a gnarly mouth. I had to use the rubber bands, too.
I love the novel so much omg! haha thank u XD
Where do you get your books
Currently on Dark tower series .But recently finished The Stand and its my favorite of all time.
+Anthony Tosh I'm so glad! I need read The Stand.
Julia Sapphire Its a really good read . And actually something I would recommend reading before you read all of the dark tower series.
One of my favorite works of his that happens to be shorter is The Mist. I think it is so interesting to compare the book ending with the movie ending, and I used to recommend it to anyone wanting to read something of his for the first time. Misery and Dolores Claiborne are also very good! I used to read a lot of King
+Christina Woosley I read The Mist recently and was OK for me . I'm interested in seeing the movie and the Netflix series soon :)
I just bought The Talisman for 53 cents at a library sale.
My first Stephen King book was IT and I loved it. Then I read The Body (or Stand By Me) and that was amazing. And now I'm reading Carrie.
My favorite Stephen King book is "IT" because i have seen the trailer im going to try to get the book and dvd. Whats your favorite Stephen King book
Have you tried The Stand??
If you did , please make a review😄😄😄😄😄
+narmin yassin I haven't read it yet lol:)
Hi ya Gorgie
I've just started reading my first King book, Pet Cemetery. so far it's holding my interest, excited to finish it and check out more if his books. I hear nothing but good things as well for Salems Lot, which I may read next. thank you for the video. :)
+ssjTeXas thanks for watching :)
Julia Sapphire You should read Pet Sematary By Stephen King
Bag of Bones scared the shit out of me. Shinning scared the shit out me, I would read it when I valet, and I would be outside by myslef and felt like someone was watching me. What's your favorite short story of his?
you know
Hey, so I was wondering... Since you like King, have you read anything by Lovecraft? I've read the whole Cthulhu Mythos and I think it's one of the greatest fantasy/horror (although I wouldn't define it as actual horror, more as a mix between a fantasy and a thriller) I've ever read. I just found your channel and really like your content, keep it going!
Corrado Canepari H.P Lovecraft is a an amazing author and I think we could relate a lot
+Corrado Canepari I actually haven't gotten into Lovecraft! I really want to though especially because I am a major Poe fan as well! Thank you:)
"Needful Things" is one of his best ever, absolutely enthralling. "Under the Dome" is also a total masterpiece. the Dark Tower series is phenomenal, especially book 4 "wizard and glass". above all else, if you have yet to read "the stand" make it priority number one. the bachman books are pretty awesome as well.
+Christopher Seymour Glad you enjoyed so many of his books!! Thanks for watching :)
Julia Sapphire I'm about halfway through his collection at this point. when it comes to story telling ability and character development, he really is one of if not the best ever.
The Shining is one of my favourites. But The Drawing of the three(second Dark Tower) is the book that realy got me into his work. Man i remember the days i read that one, it was absolutely magical.
+GunjerSpinners Oh wow really? I'm even more excited to get to that book than! :)
