Super helpful, thank you! HP, through Amazon, charges nearly $90 for two XL 62 cartridges. Refill ink is $15 (syringes included). Only negative reviews came from people who didn't understand the process of refilling their cartridges. I print a lot of photographs, so this is a game changer!
Nice work Kevin. I know u won't get the dignity you deserve putting this out, but free, invaluable knowledge has no price cept for spiritually. Weii played.. Note folks this is what the Internet can and should be used for
Worked like a charm! I have beeb refilling my cartridges since 2010? I think at some point all stoped working; till recently I heard about lawsuit and crossed this video; Thanks BCH for the tip!
I'm very dissapointed in HP, and also very thankful for Kevin's comprehensive and incisive tutorial. I'm tired of purchasing new HP printers every 2 years, when I hardly even print. I feel like when I really need to print something, about twice a year, the cartridge is dry and I have to drive the Target again. Could someone direct me to another affordable inkjet printer that lets me re-fill my own cartridges, without the shinanigans? @HP - I want a Divorce. I've been buying your PCs for 10 years, but your printers have changed my mind about everything you make.
Thanks so much for making this awesome video. I've been refilling my cartridges for years and got this new printer and thought the hp's firmware was stopping me from printing. Using your steps have really helped
I remember back years ago. Lexmark printers were running their low ink scams. You'd have to cycle through 4 cartridges to do the drill hole/remove sticker refills. Might be easier ways in 2024. I ended up buying a Cannon, and giving the Lexmark w/cartridges away. I was so annoyed with Lexmark! I informed the family member of the issues, and solutions. I put the cartridges in separate ziplock sandwich bags. I taped over the printer heads to keep them from drying out. They'd be out of use for long periods of time. Maybe keeping old ones refrigerated might help. Then use a q-tip, and some rubbing alcohol to clean the cartridge printer heads before reusing. They're a pain in the as* to unclog without wasting paper/ink. I'd reuse the same paper multiple times on test pages. Thanks to your videos I see better ways to unclog printer heads, and fully fill cartridges thanks! 👍🏾. Sometimes you need to clean out the excess ink catch tray, and sponge also. Older printers were so annoying because of the many ink scams going on at that time. They'd sell the printer for a low price. Make all their money off low filled new ink cartridges, and false errors. Brand-new ink cartridges aren't even full on those types of printers. Back then some brands had the ink, page, cartridge, etc, counters. All to support their low ink/fake cartridge scams. Not sure what scams on printers are these days. I haven't bought a new printer/scanner in years. I know now to research before considering buying a new one. 🙄🤥😂 A bunch of lying, shady, annoying companies out there. Side note: You can get more ink for a lower price by searching for refill kits on the same websites. Just by looking through different printer models. I did that and ended up with way more ink. Plus it came with regular black, and pigment black. All for less than what my model number was charging w/o the extra pigment black included.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I really needed this advice. I'm going to keep this video for any problems i run into thank you again
Great Video! I just bought new HP Envy 5055. Ink is 30.00 and 35.00 for new hp ink. My printer cost 99.00. Makes no sense. I'm ordering ink today to keep cartridge full. Very good information.
Thank you Kevin. I have two printers that I’m sure I can get at least one of them to work. I got ink for them to refill but never used them again. I hope you’re on track to help me. Thank you sir.
I refilled HP 901 cartridges for two HP J4580 printers today and I have both of them now printing CMYK properly. Thank you for the good advice. As it turns out, I do not need a new printer, I only need to refill the ink and ignore or bypass the warnings but continue printing.
This is a great tutorial. I have primed and cleaned the cartridge multiple times but kept getting some slight streaks in the color prints and the black has some speckles. Any solution to fixing that?
Hey Kevin I liked your video but I have a problem with my printer as I used to refill it when the ink gets over but now its showing that 'your indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer ' please help me
If u wanna use the instant ink carts and u no longer have a active subscription you have to take the top off of the instant ink cartridge and have another cartridge that is not instant ink (prefferably empty). Suck the ink out of the instant ink and fill the non instant ink sponges back up.
I was told from an Amazon seller of 3RD Party Cartridges that if I ever used the hp ink service then I cannot use third party brands anymore. I've never used hps service so I'm unsure if that's true.
Hey Kevin, I just wanted to ask you about HP's new instant Ink Subscription. My new printer came with several months free so I went ahead and subscribed. After subscription was over I put 3rd party ink carts into my HP printer. I refiled them several times and they worked for a little while but now I am unable to print with them. I use HP Smart to do my printing. A message pops up bottom right on laptop screen that says, " Print job paused. Resolve issue then check printer status" I will click continue then another message saying," Print canceled" I go into the settings on HP Smart app and it is saying, " Cartridge Problem" Has something changed in the past few years, since yo posted this video? Have I done something by subscribing with HP Instant Ink and I won't be able to use 3rd party carts any longer? please please help... I use my printer for so much that help the disadvantaged children in my community. Thanks much
HP OJ 9025. 962xl cartridge refill? Chip spoofing? Is it possible. 9025's have chip inside a USB looking port on cartridge. Can they be spoofed or bypassed?
I have an HP 96 cartridge that needs refilling. Do I have to pull some of the ink from the bottom? If so where is it and how do I recover it. I also cannot find the holder your using to refill. I have you ink. Thanks.
Don't really need to remove the lables, just poke a hole thru it in the right place with the toothpick used to check for color chambers, then use a small piece of clear tape to cover the holes up.
Hi Kevin. After watching your video I sucessfully reloaded my HPDeskjet 2300 printer. I did so twice but later made the mistake of overfilling. After several attempts, again following your advice, I ran into trouble and could only print well in B/W. It was strange as the test page, although not in proper colours, printed mostly ok. I had a yellow flashing light which I could only extinguish by unplugging the power & leaving for a while before trying again. Most times it worked. Increasingly I found more functions unavailable. Mant times I carefully cleaned with an electical contact spray the contact heads which improved things. Foolishly I deleated my printer & reloaded. I then had even more problems as the align & clean cartridge facilities were not available. I can now print sometimes in B/W. Mostly I get corrupted printout. My question is this;- If I buy your refillable cartridges how can I load a driver program that will work? HP seem to be making it impossible to use my printer without their really expensive genuine cardtridges. DaveJ
I ordered HP 902 ink cartridges for a HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. I installed the cartridges in the printer and got a “Incompatible cartridge” message on my printer. The Cyan ink cartridge is the issue. I re-installed the EMPTY Cyan cartridge and the printer accepted the cartridge with no error messages. After trying 4 (four) more brand new HP Cyan cartridges purchased, the same “Incompatible cartridge “message displayed. Further research revealed that the Cyan cartridge is made in Malaysia and the other cartridges are made in China including the empty Cyan cartridge that was taken out of the printer. The only ink cartridges that are compatible are the ones made in China. Is there a work-around for this issue?
How do I know if my Envy 5530 printer or any old 61 cartridge I have lying around are unlocked or not? I keep getting this "incompatible cartridge" message. The cartridge was flushed and refilled by me and was working great for 8 pages until I ran out of paper and then it stopped and started giving me error messages and all the restarts and attempts at resets are for naught. I am going to try HP support, since they are supposed to let me print.
Thanks for the video. I have two HP cartridges, black and tri-colour, that have dried and clogged up due to lack of use. Will the refill process work on these cartridges?
My friend I have a problem with my epson l3070 printer , the magenta color is misaligned ( only the magenta color ) but other colors are completely fine do you have a solution for me I printed a nozzel check and every thing is fine the is not clogged , but only the magenta color is misaligned. Itried to align it but never worked Please help me
thnank you for this great video but hp blocked my hp 63 black cartridige on hp envy 4516 printer because it says remove and install cartridge every time i put in my printer and itried many time or and it show x sign on the ink level and not working at all
Hi Kevin.. I learn refill ink from ur channel.. for now i use hp2135 ink advantage.. already refill the ink.. but when the catridge got empty, i got red blinking at printer. is there any way to bypass the empty catridge to use the refill ink like canon? Hope got news from you.. Thanks
Hi Kevin, great video but could you show how to refill older type cartridges like HP-57/56 - HP-22/.21, many people have older machines. Don't they have to be recoded or something? Really need this info. Thanks
Hello Sir I seen you video for hp refill and I also other people video too, I done refilling two carriages as you shown one is working with printer show no ink and put other cartiage when loaded then the matching not at all detecting. Not at all printing even blank page is not comming out, My hp printer is hp 3538 modle. Pls guide how to use the refilled cartiage and what are logic of electrical contacts of cartiage idea.
hey, nice video! would it be possible to have my printer to be CISS or it would be better if I just have it refilled? I got the same ink cartidge for HP 1112
I have a hp inkadvantage 3545 who is stucked with the message “incompatible cartrige. The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer” Although os the original cartridge, I have refilled it several times. All of a sudden it gives me this message and there is no option to bypass this. Should I sue them? I would love to settle on a 6 figure amount of money. Any tips to continue to use this printer?
I'm getting: "One or more cartridges appear to be damaged. Remove them and replace with new cartridges." It does not give me any options whatsoever - NONE. What do I do in this case? This is for third party and old HP cartridges. HP Officejet Pro 8610. Thank you!
I bought a HP Envy 6222 takes a #46 and I can't find any in my area, I bought the BCH Kit EZ30T and am still having issue with the printer telling me it is a fake cartridge or out of ink, I wish there were new stickers to cover the holes on top of the cartridges. ugh
my black cartridge stopped print in middle after I refilled and then hp says cartridge is damaged, tried to clean and put but no success, any suggestions?
Hey kevin, thank you for this video! I thought I ruined my printer after installing refillable ink so I didn't use my new printer for three years. Today I clean it as much as possible and now its printing black. But no colors. The people that sold me the refillable ink never told me about needing to prime the ink at all. nor is this on their instructions that came with the ink. I went on the bch website to find the priming tool kit for my printer and there is so many numbers listed but I didn't see a specific printer model number. I have an hp deskjet 1510 series. Do you have ANY help as how to bypass having to reset the printer after each and every single print job? I have to unplug my printer and press the power button for ten seconds then print whatever id like to print then plug my printer back up. This is the only way my printer just one thing at a time. Its frustrating I turned off the bidirectional support and I disabled HP cartridge protection. I learned all this from another video a lady post here which got my printer to finally print but only black. My computer will not allow me to align, clean cartridges or clean printer.
I bought your product and refilled my cartridges easily, but my HP ENVY 5020 just says 'original HP cartridges are depleted' and won't show the cartridges as being full. How do I bypass this?
Hi Kevin !! Great Video info !! What I would really like to know is the HP63 starter, HP63, HP63XL cartridges the same capacity , and what's the amount of black ink needed for the black cartridge , and the amounts of ink for each color for the color cartridges ?? TY :)
I know it's been a bit since you commented, but I was reading on his website for the 61 ink and in the picture description it shows how much to put in which cartridge and for which colors. Maybe check that?
Hi kevin i refilled hp 63 tricolor it kept printing for a while but now it is giving communication error after refill. When ever i print it print one color page and then blocks the rest says communication error and then i restart printer and then again it print only one page and then give communication error
Did this a minute ago and kinda made a mess because i think i squeeze too fast. And then when installed, my printer did not recognise the cartridge so i couldn;'t print. I gave up. I took it out and left it sitting on the desk. After a while i tried again and installed it. And it worked! But ink level still the same, so i really don;'t know where i have gone wrong.
If your printer is not reading the cartridge or says it's corrupted but you just refilled it you can do this but at your own risk: When refilling the cartridge take off the top paper completely, you'll see a circular indentation to the right of the refill hole. After refilling use a tip of pen cap or something strong and press that circular depression 10 to 15 seconds, but do not puncture it... That resets the cartridge and usually you can use again with great success...
There is NOTHING under that detent on an HP cartridge. NOTHING in ANY of these "DIY" reports works on an Hp psc 1350v multi function machine. There is NO interface window, NO "ok" button, and NO printer program on a CrimeBook! I don't have "windows" any more! How do I DEFEAT that idiot program INSIDE my printer, that was made to sell EXPENSIVE ink cartridges?
I bought aftermarket cartridges, I unboxed my printer and changed the ink to sublimation ink it recognizes the black but not the color. What am I doing wrong?
Super helpful, thank you! HP, through Amazon, charges nearly $90 for two XL 62 cartridges. Refill ink is $15 (syringes included). Only negative reviews came from people who didn't understand the process of refilling their cartridges. I print a lot of photographs, so this is a game changer!
You get 100cc for 3$ in my country and it was so close to the original hp ink... i bought the best ink for 3$ for 20cc
Thank you soooo much Kevin... this is still applicable today as it was 4 years ago... very much appreciated
Nice work Kevin. I know u won't get the dignity you deserve putting this out, but free, invaluable knowledge has no price cept for spiritually. Weii played.. Note folks this is what the Internet can and should be used for
Kevin you rock, I never would of imagined that HP got sued multiple times. Thanks for the awesome video, please keep making them
LOL yeah I know 4 languages it's hard to be perfect but I like to be corrected thanks.
By the way thanks to Kevin I have a PHD on ink.

Get yourself a Canon with individual ink tanks.
Thanks for sharing the truth.
Kevin you're so knowledgeable, thank you for your sharing your work. Greetings from a Peruvian student living in the Netherlands :)
Best refill instruction I've seen. Thank you!
I’ve watched your videos half the day!! Very informative and explained very well for us beginners! Ty! :)

With pleasure. Cheers 🍻

Is there a way that I can continue to use the Instant Ink carts that were sent to me through my subscription?. I have many brand new carts from them.

HP OJ 9025. 962xl cartridge refill? Chip spoofing? Is it possible. 9025's have chip inside a USB looking port on cartridge. Can they be spoofed or bypassed?
Just watched your awesome video and ordered the starter kit before the video finished! Hopefully doesn't take too long to arrive in Sydney Australia
Thank you Sr for sharing your time and knowledge very much appreciated it 👍👍
Best video I’ve seen. Very helpful.

I ordered HP 902 ink cartridges for a HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. I installed the cartridges in the printer and got a “Incompatible cartridge” message on my printer. The Cyan ink cartridge is the issue. hey, nice video! would it be possible to have my printer to be CISS or it would be better if I just have it refilled? I got the same ink cartidge for HP 1112
Very informative!
Can I use any ink? How do I get the refill kit?
Hi, I have a x476 printer, and we’ve refilled them, but it’s not accepting the new ink! What can we do?
How do I open my carriage safely and what are the exact measurements of ink per color?
I have a problem with my catridge not recognized after refill?
I have a hp inkadvantage 3545 who is stucked with the message “incompatible cartrige. The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer”

thank you very well explained 😃
If I had a dollar for every time someone said that, I could probably buy a new camera! But seriously, thanks for watching!
I bought a HP Envy 6222 takes a #46 and I can't find any in my area, I bought the BCH Kit EZ30T and am still having issue with the printer telling me it is a fake cartridge or out of ink, I wish there were new stickers to cover the holes on top of the cartridges. ugh
Take some tape, and press yes, keep using. I have an envy 6455 and it works flawlessly!
It told me it was remanufactured and fake. I just pressed keep using and that was it
kevin i got hp 67 ink, would it work on hp 63 cartridges thanks
my black cartridge stopped print in middle after I refilled and then hp says cartridge is damaged, tried to clean and put but no success, any suggestions?
Hey kevin,

Those cartridges stop working after 1000 pages. Any ways to overcome that?
I have a HP Envoy 7640 If i use the HP cartridge they stop my printerfrom printing how do i stop that
omg ur amazing! thank you! these companies want to just keep taking money from us its insane!
how do you know how much ink to fill in the black and colored cartridges?
MY new cartridge isn't clicking into place (black one does color doesn't). What to do?
Thank you.....Thank you !!!!
Could you prime each color separately as you add them to alleviate the lack of the color during printing?
Yes but it needs special silicone pads.
And what can I do if I get the message of cartridge failure? This means that the printhead is broken?
THANK YOU!
Hi kevin i refilled hp 63 tricolor it kept printing for a while but now it is giving communication error after refill. When ever i print it print one color page and then blocks the rest says communication error and then i restart printer and then again it print only one page and then give communication error
whats best ink for 682
Did this a minute ago and kinda made a mess because i think i squeeze too fast. And then when installed, my printer did not recognise the cartridge so i couldn;'t print. I gave up. I took it out and left it sitting on the desk. After a while i tried again and installed it. And it worked! But ink level still the same, so i really don;'t know where i have gone wrong.
How do you clean the syringe?
Ever thought of just washing it?
HP cannot do sublimation
@@BCHTechnologies but I can switch a epson to sublimation ink
