these videos are absolutely game changing thank you so much, you've got a new subscriber !!! one little question, is this video working for 305, because i dont see it in the title, but it's the same type of cartridge as the one in the black cartridge refill video ?
Hello from the Southeastern US! I successfully refilled mine :) Currently using an HP Envy 4520. I had to cover specific contacts on the cartridges to trick my printer, which was a breeze. I also had to do several cleaning tests and alignments. Now I can print business flyers and invoices at home! We are projected to save roughly $500 on ink over the next several years--can't thank you guys enough!!!
@@Theinkrefillexperts Just wondering if you ever got a answer to which printer cartridge contacts to cover so the printer will allow you to reuse them.
for the colored one, is better to check it before filling for the fist time, because the colors can be arrange differently and that would spoil the sponge inside. use a toothpick or smth.
I've watched twice and didn't get how much ink goes to use. You say "we know how much ink goes in" but you never told us. Thanks for making me have to watch someone else's video to learn what I thought I was going to learn here. One of the only things we couldn't have figured out on our own.
@Theinkrefillexperts Do you need to reset the cartridge that was my main question somebody said that had to happen for the printer to recognize it but is that the case with a 62 cart?
Excellent detail. Never saw that priming widget before. I'll have to get one for the stubborn ink cartridges when the printer has been idle too long. I didn't want to watch at first, because 7 1/2 minutes is long for me. I'm glad I took the time. Thanks.
I have an Envy 7640 with 62 cartridge and this works for me but may not work for you but if you follow any of this advice you do so at your own risk: First refill one cartridge and put into machine and then do the next so the head of the cartridges do not dry out as you're doing this. If you get a scratchy copy that might mean you have to clean the cartridge head. I do this by taking a small plate, putting just a bit of hot water in in and letting the head of the cartridge sit in the water for about 5 minutes. Then I gently pat dry the clean the cartridge with a soft wipe and wipe the pins with a q tip... be careful not to damage the pins. Also look at where you install your cartridge and clean that area thoroughly. I bought sponge sticks which work well to soak up any ink residue in the cartridge chamber (including the sponges in them) but again I gently wipe the pins inside the printer cartridge area with a q tips. After the ink is added gently clean the entire cartridge with a wipe and use q tips to clean off the pins in the front. If when you gently wipe the cartridge head you don't see ink, use the apparatus that holds the cartridge and a syringe underneath to draw out the ink through the printhead. If there's no ink take a plate and fill just a bit with hot water and let the cartridge head soak for about 5 minutes... Don't get the entire cartridge wet, just the cartridge head. Then try again... If color you should see small streaks bit blue, magenta and yellow in the water and on your wipes... and for black you'll see black. If you want to try to tape the pin on each cartridge to over-ride the error code -- you must do this very gently and carefully, there is a chance if you don't you can scratch the pins, you could also pull the pins right off the cartridge so you'll have to do this at your own risk (I do and I've not have a problem) Turn the pin head towards you and looking at the pin head: - For color tape the very bottom pin on the bottom right - For black tape the middle pin on the very top How I tape: Without gloves cut a piece of tape into about a 1/2" rectangle... Then cut that into an angle like a long triangle -- have a wider side and then a narrow side just wide enough to cover the pin. Next on the very clean cartridge very carefully cover the pin gently but and then firmly push the tail of the tape onto the plastic... You need a tail in case you have to remove the tape plus if it gets loose you can hopefully grab it gently with a tweezers. After that take a small (but not sharp) object, I use a tiny crochet hook -- press down on the reset button of each cartridge, these are on top of the cartridge and are round with a slight depression. Press down for 12-15 seconds and put back into cartridge holder. This works for me but I cannot guarantee and you should be aware if you use the tape you run the risk of pulling off the pin which I can't guarantee you won't, but if you don't want to do the tape then you might want to try pressing down on the reset button(s) for at least 12 to 15 seconds... hope it works for you :) Reply

Thank you so much for the video. I have tried and it really work!!!!! this definitely help me save a lot as its really v v expensive for each cartridge. I am using 63. Once again, many many thanks!
Really nice video, keep it up! One thing though, when is the cartridge really dead? I'm having a lot of symptoms as if the printhead was clogged. But then, i saved about 500 bucks so far. Thank you!
The only hypodermics I could get here were about half that diameter and came with a much smaller needle. It was tricky to gauge how much ink to put in. I fliled one last night with one hypo's amount of each color and when I reinstalled it, it didn't work at all. NO color. When I had pressed it against a napkin after adding (what I thought was enough) ink, I saw no color ink on the napkin. So, now, I'm just refllling another one with two hypo's worth. We'll see... 1. You say "you'll get back to" how much ink to put in...but you don't give any details, in volume measurements. It would help if you said (for example) "These hypodermics I'm using are 10cc units, and I'm putting about half a hypo into each color sponge..." etc etc. 2. You mention at 5:25 "We don't want any air going into the cartridge...", but then when you hook up the hypo to the bottom of the cartridge-holder and pull out some ink, you don't think air entered through the holes you made in the top label, as you hadn't covered it with tape yet?. However, your pulling the ink downwards with that hypo made me realize that I needed to do that somehow with MY cartridges, soooooo..... 3. Sooooo...since I didn't have that kit, I simply pressed my lips around the top of the cartridge and put some air pressure against it, forcing some air into the tiny needle-holes to help force the ink down. THIS time, when I pressed the cartridge against a napkin, I could see the colors...and when I printed a test shot, it worked. So folks, if you don't yet have that cartridge-holder kit, before adding the tape to prevent evaporation, try what I did, force some air down into the cartridge to at least get it to work. Telling which hole was for which colors alone was valuable, and learning about the need to "help" the ink downward was the final needed piece. ;) Thanks for the vid, PR Ltd.

Your videos on refilling cartridges are fabulous, thank you so much. I have one question. Can I follow the same instructions for HP Deskjet in cartridges? They look the same as the ones in your videos? Do I put in the colours in the same order i.e. magenta in the top, cyan in the right and yellow in the left hole?
I'm not able to order your kit as I'm in UAE. As such, in your opinion, what brand of printer ink is the best quality? I'll probably order it off Amazon here...which one would you recommend?
Thanks for the vid. I might have missed it, and I will watch a few time before attempting, but how many ml of ink do u inject of each colour into an empty cartridge? And black?? Thanks :)
The standard black 4ml , Xl black 10ml Standard colour 1.5ml each colour , xl colour 3ml each colour. Would you please leave me a google review of you don’t mind ? g.page/118ink/review?gm
Thank you for taking the time to record this useful and cost effective video! I will use the link below to order the ink refill kit! You make it look soooo easy-can't wait to try it!
HP have switched the colours on their 64XL cartridges. My (genuine) cartridge had yellow at the top, magenta at the left and cyan at the right. I previously ruined a cartridge by injecting the wrong colours. I advise "sucking" out a test of each colour with a clean empty syringe before re-filling.
How do you know which color goes in which side? I know you told me but how did you know that? It’s a good thing I watch this video because I would have just went by the diaphragm and put the cyan on the left the magenta in the middle and the yellow on the right.
We researched it but if you want to be sure you can simply put a cocktail stick in each hole to be certain. We have been refilling cartridges for many years and every time a new cartridge is released we check the position of the ink colours.
You would think that the entrance hole for each color would correspond with those colored dots....but noooo, that would be too easy!! They have to make it complicated so as to confuse you, the user. I'll bet that the printer companies have fought like crazy to try to outlaw these DIY products. They make a forture sellling the ink, the printers are a "lost leader". Thanks for sharing this money saving video, I, for one, intend to give this a try.
I’ve refilled recent HP cartridges but not with the success of the early printers. How do you avoid the printer inactivating the cartridge? Today’s HP printers burn/destroy an electronic connection in the empty cartridge circuitry to eliminate reuse of a refilled cartridge.
It sounds basic but just ignore the warning on the printer saying it’s low , of course it’s a little annoying but the saving you make by refilling is huge.
Printer Refresh Ltd It’s not an ink level low kind of message. Once the Circuit is burned from ink going low, removing and putting that cartridge back in gives a message that it is an invalid cartridge. Printer will not go to ready state with that in place. Have purchased refilled original cartridges from store, same error message. Only takes a new original. Ended up tossing the HP printer in favor of a Canon inkjet that store proved would take a generic refill and work. Actually, around here the new printers off the shelf (and come with cartridges) are cheaper than the replacement cartridges. Cheaper to buy new printer when cartridges are empty. Simply nuts. 🤷♂️
Hello, thank you for your video, but after the refill, do you just put the cartridge right back into the printer? Will the ink dry out/leak through the holes on the sticker?
Hi I have purchased the refill kit from you, it is good thanks, I have a question, instead of refilling the CYAN ink right i refilled into left, so is there any solution or I have to dispose the cartridge? please let me know.(hp304)
This video is really very helpful to me but I would like ask iam having hp305 is it having same steps to be followed the holes you are injecting the colour in catrdige then much ink should I fill for tricolour and how much for the black ink . please reply for this .Thank you
Hello, The standard black 4ml, XL black 10ml Standard colour 1.5ml each colour, XL colour 3ml each colour. I hope this helps, please remember to inject the ink very very slowly.
I've searched through UA-cam videos about refill ink kits and I've bought one earlier. The one that I've got does have a syringe for emptying cartridges. But the separate inks have a pump instead. Like a pipe bag or something. It does have a needle though. But I really don't get to measure how much ink I should inject. I must've gotten the cheap knockoff. I don't know.
Hey im just about to order this kit. Can you help me out, I have hp 303 normal size cartridge i want to refill. How much ml for the cartirdge and how much for the XL? Is it the same holes and same colours as displayed in this video? Thanks
Had a thought, if you connect all 3 syringes through the holes but without the 'plunger', then use the 'base' vacume syringe to create a vacuum, would that not pull the content of the 3 colours equally until all 3 chambers are full, no overflow, no guessing the existing level. Just a thought.
The holes you made in the bottom sticker with the needle don't have to be closed ? (sorry for my english if it's not perfect, i'm french). Thanks for your video.
Thanks for this instruction! But I can never get the ink to come out of the primer. It comes out at the bottom, but when I try to suck it out of the primer, it never comes out that way. Never.
@@Theinkrefillexperts When I press the bottom surface onto tissue paper or something like that I see the ink, as in the video. But I can't suck it out through the primer with a syringe, as in the video.
I have hp63 color that I am refilling. I did my first one and put it in machine, it still read empty. I thought maybe it needs to be a different one so I filled the second color cartridge and put it in machine. Neither showed all 3 colors coming out at end of refill, but I figured left to prime it would. Neither cartridge shows ink when in printer. What am I possibly missing? I put 20 ml in.
20ml is far too much ink. For the black 5ml unless XL then 10ml. For the colour 1.5ml each colour unless XL 3ml each colour. The low ink warning is normal after refilling cartridges. Please ignore that and continue to print.
@Printer Refresh LTD, I have a problem when I refill mine. I notice you have that block you put your ink cartridge in, is that necessary? I don't have one and when I refill my cartridges the ink just POURS out of the ink head and it don't hold ink... Is my cartridge bad or do I need to use that block when refilling the cartridge?
I did what you said in the video and added 2mm of each color and worked fine; the next time it flooded after injecting less than one mm of ink although I used almost all the 2 mm of ink i added before.. How can it flood with less than 1 mm of ink and it is empty? Thanks
It will not have been totally empty, that’s why the first part of the video is so important. The part where you use the tool to make sure it’s totally empty.
I refill 10ml for 682hp .. but the ink didnt go out at the bottom of the cartridge... Somehow theres likely oil coming out from the bottom .. what to do ?
Quick question. Do you guys have a trick or tip to unclog a HP62 cartridge. Looking to refill mine, but since it is used occasionally, it seems to get clogged now and again. I've tried a few methods with mixed results. Would love to grab your refill kit, but if I cant get the cartridge unclogged enough to print cleanly, I may just have to buy a new cartridge.

I have an Envy 7640 with 62 cartridge and this works for me but may not work for you but if you follow any of this advice you do so at your own risk:
First refill one cartridge and put into machine and then do the next so the head of the cartridges do not dry out as you're doing this.
If you want to try to tape the pin on each cartridge to over-ride the error code -- you must do this very gently and carefully, there is a chance if you don't you can scratch the pins, you could also pull the pins right off the cartridge so you'll have to do this at your own risk (I do and I've not have a problem)
Turn the pin head towards you and looking at the pin head:
- For color tape the very bottom pin on the bottom right
- For black tape the middle pin on the very top
How I tape: Without gloves cut a piece of tape into about a 1/2" rectangle...
This works for me but I cannot guarantee and you should be aware if you use the tape you run the risk of pulling off the pin which I can't guarantee you won't, but if you don't want to do the tape then you might want to try pressing down on the reset button(s) for at least 12 to 15 seconds... hope it works for you :)

For the colour it’s 1.5ml into each colour.
will this be 3ml for an XL on the colour?
Yes that’s right.
Great video.
I have placed an order through your website. Hope it does not take too long to ship to the USA.
Thanks
It should be with you working a week.
Thanks
Detailed and fantastic 👌
Thank you 😀
Thank you for explained it so easily, nice video, great job, thank you thank you !
You are very welcome. Can I ask which model cartridge did you refill ?
How much ink/ml for 62xl color totally empty and for black
Hello black 10ml
Colour 3ml each colour.
Those are xl cartridges
Same as HP 304 tool.
Today's the last time bought ink carts. I need to get on this.
It’s so easy, I promise you will not regret it.
good job, great informations, amazing... thanks a lot... :)
You are very welcome.
I have an Officejet 200 with 62 catridge and It says something like 'catridge fake or used' any suggestion?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the software or if it’s allowing you to print then ignore the message.
It’s always advisable to check the positions first. The XLs seem to have different positions.
Just ordered from the US! Can't wait.
Fantastic 😁
How long will it take to ship to US (once it's shipped, of course), just a rough estimate?
I would think 5 working days 😀
@@sharonkammermann7937 did you ever get your order?
You are very very welcome slow😀
hi mate, great video. i have HP 2540 and one thing I'm wondering how do you know what color goes to what hole? Kind regards.
Hello mate , the best advice Is to Check the positions using a needle or a cocktail stick.
Thank you for the lesson- it's perfect
You are very welcome. What ink cartridge did you refill ?
Thank you for this! I’ve done the refill but my printer is still reading low ink. Anyone know why this might be the case?
The low ink warning is normal but it will continue to print perfectly.
Am I correct in assuming that this will work with 60?
Hello , yes it will. And the 60xl version also.
Really helpful video. Thanks. Do you need an attachment for priming or can you just put the syringe in to prime the cartridge. Thanks.
The attachment we use has everything you need on it. They are available on 118ink.com
Just remember YMCA (From left to right).
Was thinking exactly the same :D
Sorry ??
@@Theinkrefillexperts From left to right: Y ellow, M agenta, C yan. Can also mean YMCA. A popular song.
Sorry but that’s not always right. The magenta is at the top for some.
@@Theinkrefillexperts Oh, Thank you for the hint. I didn't know that.
Why is my HP 301 cartridge not listed, when it looks the same as the others?
You can refill the HP 301 ink cartridge also.
Just bought it, thx for the vid
You are very welcome !
Thank you very much for the video, comrade! I assume you can do the same with HP 2710/305 cartridges and use the same ink for it?
Exactly ! The 305 is very easy to refill 😀
How much ink do i need for the 305🤔
Hello, for the black 4ml.
Fit the colour 1.5ml for each (cyan, magenta, yellow)
TO PRINTER REFRESH LTD
Could You Please Read My Other Comment ?
And. Thank You Again,
I’ve refilled recent HP cartridges but not with the success of the early printers.
Printer Refresh Ltd
It’s not an ink level low kind of message.
Yes replace straight away after refilling. No it can’t leak if not overfilled.
Hi I have purchased the refill kit from you, it is good thanks, I have a question, instead of refilling the CYAN ink right i refilled into left, so is there any solution or I have to dispose the cartridge? please let me know.(hp304)
Hello , I am very sorry but if you have put the ink in the wrong chamber it will bot be able to be saved. Very sorry.
now i can use my cartridges whithout using like 30$ to buy a new one,i also bought alot of ink so i can use it for years.
I am happy it helped you 😀
Does this work with hp 60 tri-colour ink? Thanks.
Hello, yes 100-%
This what i do only blue color in all holes:) it worked, im using to print a tattoo stencil only :)
If you do that, it will only use blue ink from the blue hole. 😀
Is it standard where the color holes are located on HP cartridges?
- Magenta top,
- Cyan right
- Yellow left ??
It’s best to check ink positions, they are not always the same. Use a cocktail stick or needle to be sure.
This video is really very helpful to me but I would like ask iam having hp305 is it having same steps to be followed the holes you are injecting the colour in catrdige then much ink should I fill for tricolour and how much for the black ink . please reply for this .Thank you
Hello,
The standard black 4ml, XL black 10ml
Standard colour 1.5ml each colour, XL colour 3ml each colour.
I hope this helps, please remember to inject the ink very very slowly.
What is this xl black and standard black please help me Iam having hp305 only which should I prefer ? Thank you for previous response
If you have a normal 305 it’s standard.
i swear youtube is a treasure trove of info, thanks so much for this!! how many mL of ink in each of the color spots?
Hello, what cartridge do you have ??
@@Theinkrefillexperts hp 67

@@Theinkrefillexperts thanks so much
@@Theinkrefillexperts hey btw, when i poke the holes when im done filling it i just put a piece of tape over them right?
I've searched through UA-cam videos about refill ink kits and I've bought one earlier. The one that I've got does have a syringe for emptying cartridges. But the separate inks have a pump instead. Like a pipe bag or something. It does have a needle though. But I really don't get to measure how much ink I should inject. I must've gotten the cheap knockoff. I don't know.
I have never heard of those kits. Ours are very easy to use.
Not that simple I’m afraid 😀
Nice video...
How many ml per chamber?
Thank you, which cartridges do you want to refill ? What numbers ?
Hi. Thanks for the video! Please advice if I can use the same strategy for an HP 805? And how many ml of each ink I require?
Did you ever find out how many?
Hello you can use the exact same method.
@@Theinkrefillexperts how many ML?
1.5ml each colour.
What do u do with the ink u pull out of it?
That's a very informative video, but i kinda missed how much millilitres do u put for each color?
Hello, which cartridges do you have?
@@Theinkrefillexperts hi, it's the exactly same cartridge. hp 62
For a black 4ml
For a colour 1.5ml in each colour.
@@Theinkrefillexperts thanks alot, i Appreciate it very much.
U should continue uploading informative stuff on your channel.
I do try 😀
The ink meter doesn't need any kind of reset, it will work normally?
Yes it will work perfectly fine. 😀
The holes you made in the bottom sticker with the needle don't have to be closed ? (sorry for my english if it's not perfect, i'm french). Thanks for your video.
No it’s ok to leave open
@@Theinkrefillexperts thank you !
@katsu395 you are very welcome
Thanks for this instruction! But I can never get the ink to come out of the primer. It comes out at the bottom, but when I try to suck it out of the primer, it never comes out that way. Never.
What do you mean it does come out the bottom?
@@Theinkrefillexperts When I press the bottom surface onto tissue paper or something like that I see the ink, as in the video. But I can't suck it out through the primer with a syringe, as in the video.
Do you have my kit?
@@Theinkrefillexperts No. But I have something similar.
I am afraid you need the correct tool.
What about the chips on the ink cartridge that tell the printer they're used up? How do you defeat those?
Hello , just ignore the low ink warming. They will continue to print with the low ink warning.
@@Theinkrefillexperts no does not
great video. will this method work with the HP Envy Photo 6230 ?
Hello, what are the numbers on your ink cartridges please?
@Printer Refresh LTD, I have a problem when I refill mine. I notice you have that block you put your ink cartridge in, is that necessary? I don't have one and when I refill my cartridges the ink just POURS out of the ink head and it don't hold ink... Is my cartridge bad or do I need to use that block when refilling the cartridge?
You have to have the refill tool , available on 118ink.com
I did what you said in the video and added 2mm of each color and worked fine; the next time it flooded after injecting less than one mm of ink although I used almost all the 2 mm of ink i added before.. How can it flood with less than 1 mm of ink and it is empty? Thanks
It will not have been totally empty, that’s why the first part of the video is so important. The part where you use the tool to make sure it’s totally empty.
Great tutorial, but how do you know the holes exist?
Experience, the holes are as shown in the video.
Is the cartridge for colors has its hole for the needle?
Yes it does, please check my other videos.
Thanks so much for the easy to follow tutorial - buying your kit now!
Thank you very much 😀
I refill 10ml for 682hp .. but the ink didnt go out at the bottom of the cartridge... Somehow theres likely oil coming out from the bottom .. what to do ?
will this by any chance work on an hp60 colour cartridge? I don't see any videos where you do a colour 60
Hello, the exact same method 😀
can you use any kinds of ink ?? like dye ink or pigment ink ?? thanks :)
Hello it’s important to use a suitable compatible HP replacement ink.
plain and simple! thank you.
Thanks very much for the kind message, which cartridges did you refill ?
Great descriptive videos. I have HP 67 cartridges would this work for them?
Yes the same method 😀
Cheers mate...excellent presentation...
That’s very kind, thanks very much for taking the time to message.
Good day where can i get the ink that we use to do the refill the cartrage
On 118ink.com
Ink levels still show low after refill but I'm able to print. What happens if it displays empty? Will I still be able to print even after refilling?
Yes that’s perfectly normal. You will have no trouble
would this work for a hp inkjet 2132 printer cartage? and would the color position be the same
Hello, which ink cartridges does that printer take ?
Quick question. Do you guys have a trick or tip to unclog a HP62 cartridge. Looking to refill mine, but since it is used occasionally, it seems to get clogged now and again. I've tried a few methods with mixed results. Would love to grab your refill kit, but if I cant get the cartridge unclogged enough to print cleanly, I may just have to buy a new cartridge.
Have you tried doing a head clean with your printer ?
Hey! Do I have to buy reusable cartridges to insert the ink into? Or can I just put the ink in an already used cartridge.. thank you
Hello, you can just refill the cartridges that are in your printer.
