Maybe it is out of place, but I listen to a LOT of the Netherlands Bach Society. Having now listened to tens of hours of their splendid performances, I wonder: why is it that the supremely magnificent oboe player (again here, as usual, not acknowledged) is not acknowledged here. Having listened to thousands of hours of Bach, I am enclined to think that the oboe is almost always the voice of the composer, Bach, himself. That voice is so Bach himself: endlessly pregnant, unassuming, quietly assertive, behind the green shining curtain of what we don't know what. I humbly ask the Netherlands Bach Society to immediately start acknowledging the contribution of their first oboe player, unnamed here as usual, who is, I dare say, the voice of God and music and Bach himself, keeping everything together and on pace, consistently and utterly amazing in the background and yet feeding the foreground. Sir, we millions of listeners salute you and implore the BNS to acknowledge your and their life's work in your common endeavor! Be well and flourish and we love you all. That's all I wanted to say which is a lot.
The oboist does get recognition, e.g. in this one: ua-cam.com/video/JGT0iPpU9is/v-deo.html Not every cantata or other work has a focus on the oboe but when it does, I think he does get recognition.
every cantata video has the link to the full orchestra, so it's very easy to find the name of the players. The NBS seems to have decided to write only the names of the singers in the immediate description (even in cases such as these where the singers except the soprano perform significantly less than the obbligato instruments like the violin and the oboe) I guess because the orchestra doesn't change much among recordings whereas the conductor and singers are always different.
Well, as an oboist, can't say I disagree with you, my friend!! I really love period instruments and prefer to listen to Bach on them but, alas, the spacing of the keys was too wide for my fingers.
To me, a native German speaker, this incredibly precious cantata paints the image of a poor but brave and bright 17th century working class girl. She is working hard and eating her little bread in the sweat of her brow, but remains steadfast in the face of hardship and thankful for what she has. She isn't naive, she contemplates carefully and looks to the future with joy.

Even the recitatives are beautiful and heart warming! Maria Keohane knows her Bach! And Martin Stadler (the oboeist) has such a gentle touch. They work so well together in the arias!

Fantastic performance of Maria and all the musicians. Charming and light-hearted music that goes directly to the heart. Tack Maria du är det bästa jag har upplevt på länge! Mer av dig Tack!
So beautiful - again. The interplay between the oboe and soprano in particular was wonderful. Thanyou so much for performing, and making widely available this great music making. Congratulations to you all from Australia.
Wonderful cantata, I've never heard it, so beautiful, charming, impossible to listen more than 200 hundred cantatas that BACH wrote for the services of every Sunday of the week. May be it is the sound that BACH would have liked it with such as baroque instrumentation. Great!
It is with conviction that I join Mr. James Loney's voice on the Oboist. In my opinion, his playing is not only the Bach sound, it is something more, much more ......
What an extraordinary rendition. I juat read in John Gardiner’s Bach biography that Bach himself changed the text from “mit meinem Stande” (I am happy with my status/place/office) to “mit meiner Glücke” (with my good fortune). Probably he didn’t like the original version, in his constant reflections on the theological meaning of his music’s lyrics.
Thanks for the upload of this performance. There seems to be an issue with the video format, I’m seeing the video letterboxed both horizontally and vertically. All other videos are fine.

Ecco, quando il creatore ha portato a termine la ....creazione, ascoltando le dolci armonie bachiane cantate da Maria K è rimasto incantato e non ha avuto bisogno di riposarsi per la fatica...

when will the Netherlands Bach Society upload the Hunting Cantata? that day I'll shed tears of joy.
Every time I listen to Bach I am beginning to think that the Second law of Thermodynamics is untrue.
Bach is eigenlijk niet te evenaren
1) Aria [Soprano]
I am content with my luck,
With which my dear God blesses me.
Even if I do not have rich abundance,
I thank him for little gifts
And do not deserve even these.
God is for me in no way blameworthy,
and whatever he gives to me
he shows in this way that he loves me;
I can deserve nothing from him,
Since what I do is my duty.
Indeed, even when what I do may seem so good
I have still not achieved what is right.
2) Recitative [Soprano]
Yet people are so impatient
that often they feel aggrieved
if dear God gives nothing that is superfluous.
Has he not for so long
freely fed and clothed us
and one day will he not make us blessed
In his glory?
It is enough for me
that I do not have to go to bed hungry.
3) Aria [Soprano]
I eat with joy my little piece of bread
And from my heart do not begrudge my neighbour what is his.
A quiet conscience, a cheerful spirit,
a thankful heart, that praises and extols,
Make blessings greater, make troubles sweet.
4) Recitative [Soprano]
In the sweat of my brow
I will meanwhile enjoy my bread,
and if my life's course
is ended by old age,
then God will give me my pennyworth
And with this Heaven stands open.
Oh! If only I had this gift
as my reward given by his grace
Then I need nothing else.
5) Chorale [S, A, T, B]
Meanwhile I live content in God
and die without any anxiety;
I am content with what God ordains,
I believe and am fully confident
through your mercy and Christ’s blood
you will make sure that my end is good!
