About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to UA-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

🌼Loving this. The fog, and moss, and solitude are so dreamlike and magical. Great walk. Envy your spring foliage. Thanks for posting. Stay safe. -Henry🌼
Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you know how lucky you are ! Living in this part of the world & having walks like this .
I knew from a young age.. It is a delight now to be able to share it to the world.
@@DavesWalks 👍👍👍
Awesome walk. This is a nice substitute for exercise since we have to stay in our homes for awhile. At least we can pretend we are there with you.
Thank you for the Comment!
With the fog, the hammering, and the chainsaw, this was pretty spooky :)
Never saw it that way initially, but now when I watch it, it does have that vibe. I definitely want to do more of these! Going to try and to film some of these dense fog walks at night!
@@DavesWalks If you do, be careful :D
Fog )))
I love all your walks. When I come to Scotland I must visit some of these trails.
All marked on the map in my description, and all fairly accessible, finding a place to park the car was not once an issue.
this is england not scotland
I love walking in the fog. It's so peaceful. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
A beautiful walk! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow, this walk was so beautiful!!
Thank you 😊
This place looks so creepy and lonely.. Still it has its own unique beauty...
listen to the silent hill 2 soundtrack and watch this at the same time!!
It's so foggy 😂😂
😢😢😂🎉❤
wowww beautiful location friend.. nice video...😊🙏
Thank you for visiting 👍👍
Very haunting, besides the occasional dog walkers and ducks.
One of my favourite atmospheres! I hope to film more this winter, capture that early morning fog!
Between the fog, the isolation, and the smooth camerawork, I’m reminded of a certain “Toluca Lake” in the States...
Nice, Glad you enjoyed it!👍👍
I hope you go back on a clear day. I heard some Canadian geese. Love waterfowl!
Most Americans watch reality TV. I watch Dave's Walks.
Haha, can't blame you, I don't really watch anything on telly either, just what ever I stumble upon UA-cam.
Wonderful video with super awesome work! Just subbed your channel! thank you for sharing!👍👍
Thank you so much 👍
Kinda jealous I'm living in an urban part of London and not this fantasy land
There's no better countryside on earth than the English countryside.
Agreed!
سبحان الله💕🌧
Sobhan allah♥️
Always perfect 🥰
Superb video
Thank you so much 😀
Every minute wondering what's next, beautiful footage.
Thank you!
Why all the padlocks on the bridge?
kinda an odd tradition, there done as a symbol of love, I believe it originated in Paris..
I’ve just found your channel and I’d like to say that I think your videos rank among the very best - probably THE best - walkabout videos on UA-cam. Just gorgeous. Thanks so very much.
A wonderful compliment indeed! Thank you Hellie!
Wonderful from mid canada TY
Thank you 😊
My favorite. Used to walk around Scotsman's Flash in the Autumn and it looked just like this with the mist and fog. Stunning. Thanks for another peaceful walk Dave.
Glad you enjoyed it Ash😊👍
First of all this is amazing. Second of all, how do you film your videos? Do you just use a handheld camera?
This walk was filmed with a big heavy gimble and a GH5 camera. But this was all simply to big and bulky for long term use, so eventually sold it for something more practical, initially went to GoPro, that was a mistake, I've found them to be of surprisingly poor quality. Went through 4 GoPros each as bad as the next. I now use the Pocket 2 and it was instantly fantastic. Turn it on, press record, and that's it, its ready to be uploaded. A 20th of the size and weight, and so close to being the same crisp, smooth, stable quality that is seen here with what was quite the professional setup.
Only downside to the pocket2 is it is not water proof so worth baring that in mind..
Every upload of yours has me resolved to airbnb the area, but this one takes the cake. What a spectacular walk!
ah that's great to hear, I have all places marked on the map if you ever want to walk these walks, link's in the description 😊
Now thats what i call an interesting walk!...........well done!
Oh wow. Wonderful. It's really nice to walk in nature fully alone.
It really is!
Thank you so much for all your walks.
You bring enjoyment to my day.
Stay safe ...
Like 👍👌
Thank you 👍
This is so peaceful and beautiful... I saved this special video in my playlist, so l can walk with you often....thank you...💓
One of my favourites this walk, the morning mist was just perfect! 😊
amazing
Thank you! :)
Beautiful walk. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure😊👍
This is excellent and really good to watch so close to Halloween .
The spookiness aspect is just coincidental, but now I want to see if I can do some intentionally spooky walks, I want to do a dense fog walk in the dark!
it's so beautiful. Bravo!
Very nice walk in foggy and still wintry weather around Lake Rudyard.
By often slippery and dangerous forest paths; small roads too, which run along the lake.
This lake must be very visited in the summer.
Lots of dormant boats!!.
I really like these little forest trails in the mist.
Thank you Dave, for this beautiful walk
😀😀😀😀😀
This one was particularly enjoyable to film, however it was so cold I remember my hands being numb from the chill!
Love it. Magic fog. Thanks for the great ride!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!😊👍
Nice video
Thank you :)
I wonder how this place looks in winter😍
I am hoping to come film here again on a nice bright frosty morning, just got to wait for the right day to line up with a day I can film 😊👍
Nice video
Thanks
