Great stuff, Andreas. Hopefully, when that mentorship programme drops in 2025, I will be able to plug onto it. By the way, I could not find the email you mentioned in the bio. So please advise on how to get the notifications when the mentorship drops.
Oh I see! There should be an email in my about section, u just need to verify the recaptcha. But if it doesn't work for u, I also have a free Discord community that you can join. The link for that is in the description, I will post about it there first when it's live!
Sounds easy... but there can be a lot of obstacles... i for instance got banned on etsy right after my shop got some traction, than i went to shopify but got banned from facebook ads (their support is horrible), have been rejected from merch by amazon... so not that easy anymore. Am on seller central now and spreadshirt, zazzle and tostadora. But will it ever be enogh for a living. Still have shopify but organic reach is hard... i dont know, i just keep going and hoping for the best
Definitely keep pushing through and learn from the experiences you faced! Sorry to hear about all the obstacles you went through but hopefully the teachings from that made you better!
Random question: Which currency would you advice to set on Printify, local or dollar? Some options are only available when you set the currency to $ which is slightly annoying. Thank you!
If I'd have the option I'd use my native currency (SEK) but since that's not an option I've always used USD. But I've also heard people not being able to use the automatic approval setting if they aren't using USD, if that is the case I'd stick with USD as I always need to use that setting
Alright thanks! I've made the switch to € per January 1st on Etsy as well as Printify but find the limitations too much of a downside. Your balance become unavailable even though printify continues using this method to refund orders that gets lost in the mail for example. You can see your balance but you can not use it unless you switch back to $. Each order is being charged separately, even when you submit lets say, 10 at the time = 10 transactions instead of one. Insides still being displayed in $, same for the retail value. So you're not missing out. I'm switching back to USD.
Hey Andreas, I have a confusing question about my views and visits. on the last 5 days, i noticced that i get the same amount of views and visits ( 7views....7 visits , 5 views.....4visits), and no orders , one time i had a 4views and 2 visits + an order. what do you think about that????
I see! It's hard to say exactly but this is the general rule of thumb: No views = niche issue No visits = mockup or design issue No conversions = listing issue The data is so small when it's just 5 views and 4 visits so it's hard to get a real overview of the problem at this stage I'd say. I think it'd be more important to put up more listings to garner more views and visits in order to have reliable data. Because if you have 100 views & 100 visits, then you can reliably say that it's a conversion issue since a lot of people are visiting and not converting. But at this stage that it sounds like you're at it's hard to be 100% sure what the issue is since the pool of data is so small. Hopefully this helps!
Ahem…. you made „multiple 6 figures“ and say you’re „not financially free by any means“? What the…!? Are you millions in debt or something? I can only dream of even 100K in a year! 😮
hah I hear you, I have no debt at all. Financially free to me is not ever having to worry about money in your life ever again and I'm definitely not there yet! Making 100K+ is awesome for sure and it's made me very financially relaxed but it's not like I could chill for the rest of my life so to speak. Not ever having to worry about money in your life ever again is what financially free means from my understanding
I'm a 18 y/o graphic design graduatee trying to make some money on Etsy. I basically sell digital art, no physcial stuff. But I don't get enough traffic. I can't make any sales, sadly. Any recs? Maybe a vid based on that?
hmm it's hard to say right off the bat, but if it truly is just a traffic problem, then Etsy ads would solve it. Usually it isn't just the traffic though as it can be the niche itself, the mockup or many other variables. So if the question is the right one, you will be able to solve it. But generally: No views = niche issue No visits = mockup or design issue No conversions = listing issue Hope this helps!
@@hanafi-i I have actually done videos like that in the past (here's one that could be good: ua-cam.com/video/h-iA-Uw___g/v-deo.htmlsi=nXQXzmTFHHAAO6BH). But if you're a design graduate I think the most important lesson to takeaway is to not care about the end result of the design. This is coming from a musician who had this issue for too long of a time in music but if you care about the design and you judge it being good or bad, that will most likely hold you back from progressing. Most successful Etsy POD sellers have basically no design background (like me) and just go by data, seeing that x works in this listing and y works in that listing. Then making a listing putting x + y together. It's very easy to judge something being good or bad but in all honesty, my abominations have sold more than the designs I've spent the most time on lol, so I think that'd be my biggest tip! If you take this on, you'd need to give it a minimum of 1 year of consistent reps + iteration to see some tangible results. There are so many variables and it's really only when you have them all set that you can make huge success. Alex Hormozi has an analogy of a bridge which I really like, you have the foundation of the bridge which is the design. But in order to create the full bridge that will lead to sales you need to learn all the steps after that to make it work. I hope this helps!

Heyy I start Etsy with 50$
You can definitely use that to get started!
@wtfamievendoing okay thank you because I want to succeed
i hear "merch is dead" since i started in 2021 lol
exactly! People have been saying stuff like that for 10+ years 🙃
