When did you got your first sale after uploading your first design?
@ about 3 months in I had my first sale on Teepublic. Very surprised about that because I have the apprentice status, but it came thrue. After that I created a facebook business page where I show my designs too on regular base, with a weblink to my Teepublic store.

This video has truly been life changing for me. I live in Afghanistan, and I had plans to start this trend back in 2021. Unfortunately, circumstances here prevented me from doing so. However, this year, I am determined to begin this journey, and I wish success not only for myself but for all of you as well. I understand that the first few months may be challenging, but I am resolute in achieving my goal.

Thank you for sharing that information. It's nice to see real data compared to all of the clickbait on youtube. Btw, I only have an etsy shop so far, and the Nov/Dec sales seem to be lower for many over there, too. My January sales are actually off to a better start than what the last couple months were.

Hi Juna I always appreciate you; you are really helpful. I have passive income like you, your income is higher than mine, and you definitely deserve it. I wonder what percentage of your income goes to your monthly and annual expenses for the work you do, things like artificial intelligence subscriptions, and how you turn these earnings into investments. I am sure a video about this will be interesting in these times we live in. Sometimes even if there is no desire or desire, keep creating and keep learning!
Good idea for a video.... I do spend a lot on subscriptions but mainly so I can make more video content not necessarily for POD.
Can you please do a video on design SEO, like how to optimize your title, description and tags for maximum visibility. Thank you.

After a few years on RB and TP before and after TP is taken by RB, i am absolutely assured that number of sales are not true. 7 days in January and 3 sales. While oct nov and dec had same numbers. Thats steal.

Oh... I should have shown that.... I put a lot of money into advertising this year. I don't have the exact numbers but probably near $5000
@@DetourShirts Thanks for your quick reply. 5k sounds much, but isn't it a relatively small amount compared to 100k of revenue? I don't do any advertising yet and only sell organic. I have okay results with respect to the very small number of designs I have uploaded. I wonder if I would boost my sales when doing advertising. But I am a cheepskate and afraid of losing my small amount of revenue when spending it on ads. That's why I am always interested in other peoples experience regarding ads on Amazon.

Kind of... I was trying to do 2 videos at the same time. I've been doing updates on my Design with Detour designs. I want to show how much they made on their own. What you could expect in 1 year with a design a day.....I also wanted to show what I made in total to show you what the potential is after being on these platforms for a long time. Hope that makes sense

Hi Juna. Thanks for this new video. I think you made a little mistake about the TeePublic profit (it was writen 64% growth and I think the right number should be 36% instead). I have a question about the Amazon profit. Is this before or after any US government taxes?
Thanks for catching that.... yes this is all before government taxes. Each country and state will be different so I didn't not include them and you have to do that on your own. The POD sites will not do that for you

That's a good point.... or at leas the kinds of designs that people want to buy during Christmas
What is a scaled design?
Scaled designs are designs that look similar but switch out a word or graphic or style so that you can do lots of them. For example... Vintage 1973, Vintage 1974, Vintage 1975, etc. or something like Lucky Mom, Lucky Dad, Lucky Nana, etc.... it's an easy way to make lots of designs at once. Most POD sites don't like that but Amazon is okay with it.

I had a ton of ad expenses but I didn't want to make the video even longer. I mainly used Amazon Ads and only for the US market.

Congrats on last year’s success, Juna! I have a question. I am trying to figure out what would be a good indicator of a healthy POD. What percentage of your total designs sell?
I saw another UA-camr do their 2024 income review, and their percentage was in the low single digits. I just want to get an idea of what a healthy range is. If any ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
About 10% is average.... 1 out of 10 or 10 out of 100. If you can do better than that, I think you are in a good spot. You will also need to give it time.

If you create a video explaining how to apply, please try to recall what you wrote when you applied yourself.
