The ones where I fail to keep my life together. Oh and on a sam maloof table build few years ago. I had to hammer that sucker into position. Almost felt bad for the tree that had to sacrifice itself to turn into that table.

Most memorable glue up disaster - or should I say ‘most educational glue up moment’? - is when I glued up 8 boards to make the front of a cabinet and didn’t spend enough time straightening the edges. Result: interesting organically shaped cabinetfront 😳

Every time I watch one of your videos I think, ok, this is going to be the one that blows up his channel! They're so good and just keep getting better. I really don't understand UA-cam - why aren't they promoting this more!! It's sooo good. Keep at it. It's only a matter of time and you'll be hanging a silver creator award in your shop.

Wow! Thanks for those kind words Billy! That really means a lot and keeps me going. If only I could make videos more frequently that might help a bit, but I can try and make the videos that I _do_ make as best as possible so I get those like, subscribes, and hopefully shares. Thanks for sticking with me Billy!

Definitely feel your pain on that door glue up. I threw a Kreg corner clamp as far as I could out my garage door when I couldn't get it to actually do the thing it was supposed to do; clamp a corner joint and keep it even remotely square.🤣Haven't used it since. I enjoy Kreg tools but that one was a swing and a miss for me... Great video and thanks for keeping it real. 😊💯

Take a square and mount it to a table. Turn your box upside down with the bottom showing ontop. Place the box on the square and using a rubber mallet hit it until your measurements from corner to corner are even. Then using brads or staples secure your bottom to keep square.

Hey, Scott (and Rachel)! I recently discovered your channel and have really been enjoying it. I really like your narrative style and sense of humor, and the editing is really thoughtful -- it's fun and elevates the finished videos, but it's never distracting or cheesy. You two are a great team. I finally decided to comment on this one, though, because of your choice to include a moment where things went a little sideways. So many other UA-camrs only show the perfect parts, and that's an entirely different vibe... These projects seem more approachable because of bits like this. Things can get away from us sometimes, but we can recover and succeed anyway. Thanks for sharing!

Hey, I’m a somewhat intermediate woodworker and I was wondering if you can do a video on the process of finishing? I’ve always had a hard time of finishing my wood projects to the standard I want and have always found the amount of products out there overwhelming. For example, I tried using semi gloss lacquer on wood project and didn’t really get semi glass… just somewhat a reflective surface? should I have used a poly coat first and then lacquer? Thanks!

Can definitely relate to the glue-up frustration. On one of my recent builds I realized that one of the panels didn't sit in the rabbet and was actually bowed out AFTER the glue was dry. I had to steam and wet the joint and gradually pull it apart and redo it. Where did you source the vacuum bag and C-channel clamp? I find them difficult to source here in Canada.
