There’s some irony with Eda’s reply to Belos’ final line, “We’re human. We’re BETTER than this!”, in which she replied, “Well, we ain’t!” While it was never explicitly confirmed, Caleb Wittebane got together with “Evelyn,” whom the TOH community just assumed was a Clawthorne ancestor. For that reason the Clawthorne line presumably has a tiny bit of human DNA in their blood. Keeping that in mind, I feel that Eda’s reply to Belos has a lot more weight behind it, besides just the implied moral superiority. Eda & Lilith, are quite literally by this point, more human than Belos in every way, physically, morally, and even biologically.
Belos really pulled the IM ONLY HUMAN AFTERALL card.
You can see belos sweat drops before he said he's free from the curse. You can tell he's trying to come up with a lie in order to convince Luz he's changed. But I'm afraid that's not going to work on her.

I think the shock is the multiple stomps to Belos. I genuinely expected his end to be the single stomp and then it’s lights out.
