Love how Spruce goes straight to his chair ready to eat. Smart little guy.
Herc is very protective of baby Spruce because he thinks of Spruce as his baby.
Spruce being a bottle fed baby thinks of Shannon as his mom so whenever she gets out of his sight he's gonna cry for her.
Spruce thinks he is 10 foot tall and bullet proof. He is soo sweet and funny. Him and Hercules are so cute together.

Spruce is really yelling, he is so cute. I am glad you finally went back up there I know you are trying to teach him that he can be by himself. You two are so loving with your animals. I just love watching them. Herc is so great keeping an eye on Spruce.
Spruce has lightened in color. He is more blond and gray than when he was born. He was more redish brown. He is sure testing his boundries. I am glad that Herc is protecting him from the other goats.

Kyle- interesting hack - wherever you don’t wasps to nest- spray WD-40. Really works. It’s waterproof so you only need to spray once a year. ❤️🐼💜

He needs to be with the rest and I know of no reason to keep him in the shed. He’s so protected by Herc.
We still have some cold nights ahead (30's) so it's more about making sure he's warm, not that we think Herc can't protect him. He'll be with them soon 😉 He's just now almost a month old, we want to give him a little time to get bigger 🙂

Kyle & Shannon, we had a gully washer last night. Knocked our power out for several hours. So we had limbs clean up earlier. It’s down in the 70’s I think. Spruce is just so cute, it’s a shame he has to grow up. 😅😅😅 You can hear Spruce but it’s good for him to get use to being alone, even if for just a few minutes. I know it’s hard letting him cry, it was hard for me as a human mom to let my twins cry but sometimes they had to because I was a single mom. And I had to work.
They are all nice but Spruce is…..adorable, so nice! He have a good heart ❤️ as you.

I think you need more fencing so you can have two or three more pastures.
When we were raising goats, we had about four or five acres of pasture with some bushes along the fence rolls they would eat weeds, grass, as well as the bushes. The goats are browsers and will eat the different foods during the day. We didn't feed grain except it the extreme cold comes in the middle of winter. We raised meat goats.

Lester and Jami let mama feed the baby goats for ten days two weeks and then they took over because they said it was easier to handle the goats if they had to medicate them or worm them or if they get hurt, their more sociable.
I think Spruce is trying to get on Hurc’s back. Kid goats will ride on the backs of horses and donkeys. Google some picks it pretty darn cute.
Spruce is a hoot. Watching him makes me laugh. He and Herc are a great duo. Spruce is sad, Mom come get me. Really enjoying the goats eating the leaves from the slender little trees. Never a dull moment with goats around. Is there a fence between your land and your neighbors? I wish I had Spruces energy

Leaving Spruce crying so loud could attract coyotes. He may be okay in the pen on his own when he can see the other goats. You don't want to alert coyotes especially when you are getting chickens.
