I think that fence needs some more t posts. When batman puts his weight on it, it leans over.
This is a video that you will look back on and laugh! “Shake the food Kyle” , “hurry up and get through the gate Shannon”. You stay here, I’ll go there. It was hilarious to watch sitting in the comfort of my living room. Love you guys!
🤣😂
This was so funny but it wore me out trying to help from my chair . You guys will figure it out. There’s lots of stuff going on at once . Take your time and it will all work out. And I will send a prayer up for you guys.😜
Soo true!!!!!
Great idea about taking the goats and Hercules out to your property
Only if it's full time...not back and forth.
Yes, I think Mario, Luigi, and Herc need to get to their property way sooner than later. It's upsetting the flow of Adler 1.0 really bad and Smokey is readjusting again and she needs to be fully in charge of her goats with no distractions!
Someone else said you need to bring the goats to Herc rather than bringing Herc in after because the goats already feel established in the space. I agree that maybe if Herc is there first the goats might not be as aggressive. Who knows.
If you put collars on the goats MAKE SURE THEY ARE BREAK AWAY ONES. You don't want them to get the collar hung on something and choke them. ❤
That is my main concern As Well!!! It's definitely a horrible thing 😫 that can happen especially when it can totally be avoided!!! We would just put collar and leash when they were going on a walk.
@@darlenedouglas5148 They look like the collars that Jason & Brooke use which are breakaway collars.
I've képt co[[ers on my 2 goats siñçé I got them at 6 weeks so I cañ grab thém íf they slip loose. I also wálk them oñ léashés
👍👍👍👍👍❤️ just a suggestion. Grandpa needs to tighten his fence and may have to consider putting an electric fence in. Batman will probably make getting out a habit now that he knows he can jump out. Herc will soon claim his authority over the goats. Kevin at Hidden Heights might can give you pointers on this since they have introduced new pups to their goats. That way you will know what to expect and make you more comfortable with Herc in with the goats.
Batman has done that before Ralph tightened the fence and put in more t posts. Guess he needs a few more
HH goats used to butt little pup Kora until they got used to her.
@@gabesmom5615 Ralph needs to make it hot. Only way to stop him now
Great idea take them to your land. Smokey should not be closed to Hercules .
Kyle you need to help grandpa tighten the fence
The fence needs a few more T-posts to withstand Batman's assault😀. I think Luigi has been taking lessons from Batman! Herc has sure grown in the past couple of weeks. Have Smokey and Herc seen each other? I was amazed she ignored his presence. Granted he wasn't in her territory but she was on the property and she could see him. Our dogs go crazy when another dog comes anywhere near our property.
Kyle you should also help your dad get the HotWire back up.
Batman got out of that pen more than once. I think 🤔 Didn’t Chad and or RalphGrandpa have a electric fence up? Because Batman kept getting out?
Laughing - like herding cats!
Just my thoughts, for what it's worth (not much-LOL), I don't think putting a pen within the big pen is a good idea either - I think, even with the pen, you'd be putting both Herc and Smokey in a bad situation.
I SO TOTALLY AGREE!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
MISTAKE
🥺😩😢☹️
It could go SO BAD
Y’all are young. It’s totally not your fault. It can take longer than a minute for you guys to experience on handling farm critters.
It’s a whole new world for ppl learning how to do things that involve farm animals.
Did either of you really look into Smokies eyes
:-( 😟
Smoky was not A happy Dog. She went to instant ELERT 😩
I couldn't agree more
Grandpa and Grandma are gonna watch this video and get a good laugh!😆
Smokey is watching every move you make! She is awesome!
I really think waiting until you can get Herc and the boys at your place will be the best. Your boys have been living day in and day out with Smokey, she is their protector, and as long as she is around, I doubt they will learn to submit to Herc. Her presence is dominant. I don't think taking the 3 of them back and forth to your place is a good idea. Travelling in vehicles is stressful to the goats and the dog. And once they get relaxed in one place, then loaded up to go to another will end up making all animals overly stressed, which is not a good way to learn, and you both will be stressed too, and animals pick up on that. Hopefully you can make your move soon. Good Luck!
I agree with Ralph needing to tighten the fence. He’s been through Batman continuously escaping once he figured out he could.
This was almost on par with Rae getting spit on by her beloved alpacas! Tell Rae sorry for me 😆I was rolling on the couch laughing AND GAGGING. You guys are hysterical!!! I love all of your family on UTube. Laura in Florida
I think anybody that has raised animals can tell their own "major mess" stories... I know I have had some doozies! You are doing great because you didn't give up!!! If you survive and learn from these "adventures" , you will soon be able to outsmart a goat - and that's saying something! Love you folks and your family
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 That was almost worth the price of a circus! How long is it going to be until you can move to your land? The dynamics will be so different there so I think if it was me, I would wait until then. Other thought is if your goats imprint with Smokey, will they ever accept Herc as their guardian? I suppose you could always sell them or leave them with grandpa and start over when you're on your land. Tough call for sure. GOATS ARE WEIRD! Texas Deb ❤️
That's what I'm worried about... after everything Smokey has gone through, this is not a good situation. She needs things back to normal and the littles need to bond with Herc as their LGD!! It's in Kyle and Shannon's best interest to get all 3 to their land asap!!
I would wait until you get out to the land, total chaos, but good try!
These dog's are not meant to be caged up! You should train them to the property and let them protect the animals and people inside the property. You should train Herc to follow with you when you are outside and to patrol his property when you aren't.
If you leave them on all of the time, you need breakaway collars. If the collars will be on just when you are with them, breakaway collars aren't necessary. It would be nice if you teach them to walk on a lead for those times when grain isn't available.
You two, and Herc, are so fun to watch. Much respect!!! 🐾🇺🇸🐕🦺🦮
Seriously suggest you wait until you get the animals to your land to try this again. If Herk gets out into Smokeys pen it will end badly for both of them. Please, she is just starting to relax. Just be patient and wait that month.
You really got a workout this time! It was funny to watch but know you both must be exhausted. Think it's probably best to wait until you're at Shady Acres 🥰🥰
You have to remember Smokey was his size or smaller when she 1st got out in with her goats. The sooner the better for you to get him in with the goats full time.
Things don't seem to go smoothly when everyone is stressed because of circumstances. I don't see a problem with waiting until you are all on your own land. They will adjust to their own space just fine. Hercules will know it's his space to protect.
That's a good point, being an LGD is not just about the animals but the territory. That is not his territory so he does not feel it is his place. And they do not see him as the territory boss yet.
Please do NOT build a pen in SMOKY’S HOME
@@marylouise890 ... totally agree!! I think Smokey and her goats need to be out of sight and sound of Hercules and his little. If that could be accomplished by putting Herc.and his goats elsewhere on Grandpa's farm, it would be worth a try. Otherwise....please wait until your can reintroduce them on your own property when you are living there as well.
Ellen Boggs, I agree. Did they think what Smokey will think when she smells Hurks on their goats. I think it could stress Smokey out doing this.
@@christinevanhalder2084 I don't think other animals are an issue for Smokey UNLESS there is food involved. Then it's bad. Many dogs can play with other dogs but cannot be fed together. I think it is more they don't want them interacting and then all of the sudden removing Herc from her life. The sudden removal might be a little stressful.
But the reaction of the Littles to Herc and his reaction to them makes me believe he needs a little more size to him. Right now he is their size, so they can challenge him and try to assert dominance. They are just trying to establish their hierarchy. Unfortunately, you want Herc to be in charge, so it might best best to wait a few weeks. At the rate he's growing they won't challenge him much longer.
Thanks for the comedy relief!
Those goats really had you going in different directions. You handled it well and stayed calm. Not many would be able to do that.
When they get their own space, Hercules will figure it out. Keep having him around the chickens and that will give him confidence.
Before Smokey came back the goats accepted Herc so why would wouldn't they still accept him?
Funny as heck! What about bringing your goats over to Grampa's side yard where Herc's pool is?
😂😂I can just hear what Leann might have to say about thay
@@gabesmom5615 i think she'd be fair easy knowing it's not permanent. With Chad she probably thought "when is he gonna leave" but K&S she knows it's a temporary situation.
Less stress and anxiety getting the goats & Hercules together. Hercules and the boys need less human time and more bonding time. Less talking and more natural bonding. Hercules is going to want you to always be with them…. Sorry animals need more time learning to work together. 🐾🐾💙💙
Kyle and Shannon please take off those collars!!!! Get break away collars for your goats. Goats end up hanging themselves with those things. Ask Jason at Cog Hill where they got theirs. You don't walk goats. You entice them. Carry a bucket and shake it....they follow. Shannon you just said it...you are a smart one!
Longhorn Lester has collars and bells on a few of his goats. Bells indicate leaders.
Breakaway collars on goats would be basically worthless because every time you grab them it would come apart
Cog Hill uses break away collars on their goats. They recommend them.
Good job 👏 Kyle And Shannon
@@maryjomorra2865 you don’t grab the collar. The break away collar is for them if they plan on keeping them on all the time. It is to prevent them from choking and dying if they get caught up on something when no one is around to save them.
Think they need go to your place very soon so that Herc and the goats will be on equal terms as newbies
Totally agree. They have all gotten confused.
Confused and DANGEROUS
I would just walk Hercules around the perimeter of the goat pen so he can say Hi thru the fence until you move. That way Mario and Luigi know he's safe and don't forget him when you move.
Great video guys. Always good to see the natural way life happens, good or bad. You guys did do a great job getting Batman and Fox back into the pen. Herc listens very well.
Poor Smokey is just getting use to being home again. I believe that moving your babies to be with Hercules in the small area should wait until you get them to your place. Stressing everyone and especially Smokey is not a good idea. She doesn't need another situation like she had with Bandit. Just my opinion. Enjoy your videos. Take care. Jan
This is one of the videos you'll look back on five or ten years from now, and roll on the floor laughing. 😂😂 It was very entertaining, to say the least!! Bless your hearts, I was wanting to be there to help you so badly. LOL I must say, you all handled it like champs. Good job, guys!!
🥰❤️
Lol, I would wait till you get out to your land. 👍❤
You might think about having slip leads stored in various spots around the property. Then you have something at hand incase you get stubborn escapees.
I will say you guys are amazing with animals and your love for your pets is so evident and I love your attitude towards the whole thing you're willingness to learn your willingness to take the time and kudos to both of you you're doing a good job it's all trial and error and learning you guys are just you're awesome you're putting in the work you're putting in the training you're putting in the time you're adjusting an entire lifestyle introducing animals and you're doing it and you're doing a good job
That reminded me of an emergency I had to deal with at home when my three kids were real little, and a new puppy running amuck! 😆
...you all had to try it, it was a good idea. Batman saw the Bat signal, and just couldn't help himself....lol
God bless, get some rest...a new adventure is coming tomorrow! 😋
Just sitting here watching and remembrring your first few postings. 😊 You two are so much more comfortable now. Funny too. Best wishes for all endeavors at your new property.
I have a breakaway collar for my cat 🐈. Love watching u two 🥰
Get them on your land , and remember herc is a working dog not a pet.
Jason at Coghill has plastic chain collars on their goats so they can move them or catch them if they get out and they will break if they get them stuck on anything.
Oh my lord. I laughed so hard at this video. You two are so funny. I can't wait until you get those 3 at Shady Acres in the big pen. ❤
I recommend keeping collars on them. Mine have them on all the time and its just handy if one gets out or if you need to administer any meds/dewormers etc... Also great for hoof trimming time. Just make sure that they are loose and you keep an eye on loosening them as they grow.
Besides being greedy Batman may want to know what's going on with your goats. Great video.
Luigi says ooh someone smaller to pick on. Hopefully it all works out once y'all get them to Shady Acres.
God bless y'all and your families.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the Lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals. The collars are great
Any time with you too is a SPECIAL TIME.
THERE ARE GOING TO BE DAYS LIKE THIS DON'T WORRY. JUST BE HAPPY.
How wonderful Dusty . Congratulations! So blessed in 2 days rain and 3 red dogs. God bless. Love ❤ you all
Smokey started to get upset as soon as she saw the collars come out. She flinched when they clicked shut. I think she associated it with the shock collar. Poor baby.
I know I couldn’t help but laugh myself. Then your brothr said he was going to throw up and I laughed harder.
I trained my goat to come when i shake a cup of food . It really helps when you want them to come to you. It works well when they get loose.
You might need to add a couple T posts so Batman can't push the fence over to get out. Also a spray bottle of water to "punish" him when he jumps on the fence(most goats don't like water) won't hurt him but deter him. Remember those goats have horns that can be used to grab them in case of emergency. (I would suggest it be Kyle if Batman)
You guys did great!! Fact is Goats 🐐 are just naughty!! Plain and simple. You have to be expecting the unexpected at all times with them. I think Herc will get better as he grows and stand his own. Mario and Luigi are learning to stand up for themselves around the bigger boys and continued doing so with Hercules. Won’t be long before Herc will be at the size they won’t press him like they did. Poor little guy just wanted to play nice not play goat. 🤣 Again you two did great and learned as you did. Trial and error is the best way to figure things out. God Bless and take care!💗💗💗
I can't help but tell you how much I laughed and how hard I laughed. Great video. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏's and blessings to everyone.
I don't see a problem with waiting until you are all on your own land.
Kinda wondering if Smokey is going to be stressed that Luigi and Mario aren't always going to be there . She's had way to much to deal with already. A few more weeks till you are all on your own property seems better for all.
Herks tail is so long it’s gorgeous and I think Herk and Smokey would make beautiful puppies xxxxx
I have a collar on my goat. I also put a pony harnes on her when i trim her hoofs. Works great
Great try y'all were cracking me up. I feel ya.🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❣️
Remember he is a guard dog not a pet , it will be better when you are in your place it will be easier for Hercules to be a GUARD DOG. All the best from Scotland
Thanks for taking us along. Great content & entertainment! Hercules will get there. Maybe more space will help. Judging from the size of his head & feet, Herc is gonna be in charge pretty soon.
That there was some pretty darn good entertainment!…Thanks for that! You 2 will figure out a way, just takes a little time. Eventually Herc and his goats will bond. He is such a gorgeous boy….belly scratches coming your way Buddy❤️❤️
Oh, too cute that you got the boys the correct colored collars 🐐😅
The fact that when Batman leans against the fence and it leans pretty far almost horizontal shows that the fence is way to loose, that gives Batman the surface he needs to climb the fence. Try this, put up a whole lot more fence stakes where Batman is now escaping up by the small goats.🧡🧡🧡🧡
Agree with you on the fence. Kyle could help Dad get that fence stretched tight an reinforced with posts on the OUTSiDE of the fence. Perhaps even stretch an extra wire or two for added height. Please don't add a pen inside Smoky's area--too confusing and not worth the risk of possible bad outcomes. Love your attitudes! You've got this and Herc is an awesome dog! 🙏💜🙏
Hey my friends. Hope this finds y'all doing well. Just a little info I learned and you should also about the difference between the type of Guardian Shepherds that Smokey vs Bandit temperaments are. Kevin and Rachel with Hidden Heights Farm have two different types and might share some differences for you. I do believe Smokey and Herc are less aggressive than Bandit was. They have a pair like bandit and the extra large Shepard MOJO. They also had a Smokey was so awesome. There was something about Bandit that wasn't right from the start I can remember. I'm not sure I'm anyway correct just an observer and noticed these differences. Thanks as always for sharing and stay safe stay funny and can't wait to see y'all in your place. God bless
@Kerry you’re right about Bandit. I remember Chad something about the breeder told them about him. He’d already displayed some aggression as a pup but they wanted to take him anyway, thinking they could work it out with love and patience.
@@gabesmom5615 I know but amazing how it was t ever mentioned again anytime. Sorry, I know everything as it should be, but it just hit a soft spot that's all. The truth shall set us all free, right?
Poor hurc hope the goats and him will get better at being together soon
I was exhausted for you watching that 😂 So seriously carry a spray bottle of water and spray the goats if they go to head butt the puppy because Hercules will end up being terrified of them and you don’t want that.. You want them bonded.. Also don’t look at it as a failure because it wasn’t , it was a learning experience 😉
Ya'll are awesome. Caring for Herc an the goats like you do. I so enjoy watching your videos.
Smartest thing would've been not to get any animals until you was on you're own property and properly had there living quarters ready You're Dad's animals our so confused and now Smokey is going thru stress again Hopefully you guys can get to you're own property soon
I think if you made a bigger pen for your goats they would be happier cuz they have had all that room to run around and that's what they're used to..
I'll be a little leery about putting a pen for them inside the big pen because if they somehow got out Herc could get out and I just don't think Smokey may be ready to have another puppy after what she's been through..
I thought it was funny at the end when Smokey was looking at your goats in their new pen going why did you put them in jail🐐🐼??? 💖💖💖
Putting a pen inside Smokies domain is for sure a BAD IDEA
SMOKY JUST MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE THAT AT ALL
I’M NOT GONNA SAY OUT LOUD WHAT COULD HAPPEN
SURLY YOUR DAD WILL STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING!
@@marylouise890 you have already commented 10 plus times, why not say how you really feel.. Lord have mercy!!!!
This was the best video of you too with those Goats! Loved every minute of it your videos are so good. I love your whole family!
Welcome to the world of farming. The best laid plans often go awry so you learn the art of being flexible. You two are doing great. You kept your cool and sense of humor through it all. Well done. They do make halters for goats that make it easier to teach them to lead. I taught all of my animals to be lead as you never know when they may need medical care and hoof maintenance for the goats. Handling should include running your hands over them and down their legs, picking up each foot to check that those hooves and paws are staying healthy. When they get used to this you will find them to be much better behaved and willing. Best Wishes.
Oh boy! Those goats keep being mean to Hercules and he’s gonna let the coyotes in himself!
Thanks for the joy and laughter. I know it was hard for you but it sure was fun for us.
I can't get over how smart Smokey is!! A side note - it's been a long time since I've yelled at my phone screen like I did watching this video 🤣
😂😂😂
I’m still crying and screaming
🤣😂
You guys did a good job! Keep experimenting. Time will tell. New things are always challenging.
Al & Gina at Lumnah acres always put collars on their goats when they are babies and even as adult goats they wear their collars all the time.
Tiny Shiny Homestead uses collars on their goats they are very colorful. They are from Cochise County AZ.
It was a good idea... buuuttt, that darn Batman.🐐 😂 I hope you told your dad that night that Batman was getting out because he will continue to get out whenever he wants unless Grandpa reinforces the fencing with more T-posts. 😬 I felt your frustration. 😩 It’s all trial and error. But I have to say that it was too funny watching y’all. 😂😂 I really like y’all and wish all the best for you as you continue working at making your dreams come true. You are hard workers for sure. 👍😍
Batman is such a character. What a handful, your Littles are too cute. Good luck in the future with it all. Hercules is getting so big.
Hello nice to see you both again and what a chore that turned out to be LOL. I also hope it works out that the goats work out better with the pup. Well all the best take care till next time.
WOW Herc has grown a lot! Kyle, please use your animal voice's more often! 😂 I loved this video. Absolutely 💯 NOT a failure!
Think taking the goat to your property might be a good one especially if your out there working anyway. Think it was a good idea just others being stinkers and confused with what was going on. You did well guys don’t beat yourselves up we learn from things and thought you handled the situ well. Take 2 🎬 next time 🙏💕
There will be days like this! Anyone who has/is working with animals knows that you cannot plan and expect perfection every time you work with them. This video is still going to be hilarious and a solid lesson for all even in 50 years time. A true classic!
And I have to say I laughed…….but quickly remembered some events from my youth when getting sheep through a gateway with 2 dogs was nigh on impossible. (Sheep like walking into the wind whether it is string or not!) I cringe even now. As I said there will be days like this. Onwards and upwards. Tomorrow will be a new day with the adventures still to be recorded and outcomes to be written and outcomes as yet undecided.. Good luck. Safe. Travels. The old saying of Never work with children or animals as an entertainer is never more true than today! (And to think Ralph and LeeAnn were just a few yards away.))
Kyle do not feel bad. I laughed my ARS off also. I kept saying “Watch it. You gonna get it in the face”!
I don't feel its a great idea to isolate in Smokey's yard. That may make her go nuts and reverse back to how she was feeling at the other farm.
I see that the big goats and Smokey have gotten attached to the little goats and now think they belong with them, so they'll have to get sad again when the little's leave. It's not the food Batman is concerned about, I'm thinking.
I laughed so hard!! Batman is so naughty!!! You two were working so hard at keeping it together.
Keep trying it will all work out. Herd is so cute.
It’s called learning. Nobody was hurt! That’s a win win! A little overwhelming for Herc!
You guys are getting educated, your doing great! 😃
It was just the first time. It will take some time to get them acclimated to each other. Try it some times with out the camera.
I'm seeing a potential problem. Mario and Luigi see Smokie as their protector and see Herc as an interloper. Also, as Herc gets bigger so will the goats so he's not getting any advantage. Will your dad let you put them where Herc is now or in the electric fence of the garden? Talk to Kevin and Rachel at hidden heights for ideas as he's the one who said in a video that goats have to accept the LGD into the herd.
Now that’s entertainment 🤣🤣🤣
Cog hill farm Have goats and they use the plastic that looks like a chain length but they're plastic and they break away if they would get caught on something. I think you would need something like that if you were going to leave them on all the time.
I'd like to see you move Herk and your goats to your property. They will all lern to get along.
First rule of country life, you open a gate, you close a gate. 🙂
That is a great idea for letting the 3 of them getting together ❤️ in their own pen which may be when you move out.
They have all bonded: batman wants to see whats happening
Not sure if its food or just curiousity. Rae might be laughing at ya'll now
Instead of building a pen within the pen, maybe just add a couple extra t-posts where Batman is getting out.
😂😂😂😂😂 well that didn’t go as planned 😂😂😂😂
