- Comparison video of DuckTales (Capcom 1989) and DuckTales Remastered (Capcom, Wayforward, 2013) With gameplay of the following versions:
DuckTales
0:00 NES (1989)
4:04 Game Boy (1990)
DuckTales Remastered
7:02 PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360 / Wii U / Windows (2013)
22:13 Android / iOS / Windows Phone / FireOS (2015) / tvOS (2016)
The mobile version of Ducktales Remastered is pretty similar in terms of graphics to the 2013 version, but there's the added possibility to auto skip cinematics, making it more similar to the NES version, among other extras.

The sad thing was, “Ducktales: Remastered” was the last hurrah of those of the original cast who survived then. Alan Young (Scrooge McDuck) died in 2016, June Foray (Ma Beagle and Magica Di Spell) died 2017, Chuck McCann (Duckworth, Burger and Bruiser Beagles) died 2018 and Russi Taylor (Webby, Huey, Dewey and Louie) died 2019 (Russi last voiced in the Ducktales reboot as a younger Donald Duck before passing).
The end of a grand era...
If I'm correct russi and alan also voiced their characters in the mickey mouse shorts
At least they all went out on a high note.
and Launchpad and Donald outlived them all
@@masterfarr8265 Sadly so
Its such a miracle that they got Alan Young and June Foray to voice in the remaster before they passed away.
I am guessing the og cast would of been in the reboot otherwise
God bless them.
It’s a miracle some people still have these games, the new generation would have never known what the duck tales games were.
I finished Ducktales Remastered yesterday, and holy cow did WayForward do an excellent job with it. Makes me want them to remaster other Disney/Capcom classics like Darkwing Duck. I had the NES version of Ducktales on a bootleg-like multicartridge when I was younger, but I didn’t figure out the pogo mechanic so I never got far as a kid
Before I didn't even known there was a remaster of this game. This remaster is very epic. :)
Really? It's been out awhile, and you can buy it on your phone officially for 5 bucks. It works on my phone.
@@beauwalker9820 ok
@@beauwalker9820 Not anymore sadly. It was delisted from the mobile store in 2019. I know the xbox 360 version is still up but I only have the ps3 and Wii U versions.
Still available on Microsoft store in March 2023
I'm playing it on Serie S
@@RhythicManRhythmPC version was brought back up in 2020. Still goin'
I remember seeing this as a kid on my cousins NES.
It was a difficult game then and even now.
Timeless memories 👍
I recently played the original and found it extremely easy. When I was a kid I thought this game was almost impossible lol
@@csandrade87
You probably have a PS5 now with harder games.
Your use to the difficulty spike
The original ducktales for the nes was a great game. One of the best on the system overall. The remake, holy shit. I bought that game when it came out and even though ducktales was long since gone, that game blew me away. If 1990 me got a chance to play that game I don't know if I could have handled it. It was like playing the actual cartoon show which is amazing.
Oh god... i remember playing on my grandma's phone and beating the game for the first time....
I never played the Nes or the remastered version, only the Game boy version, and Alan Young was the best voice for Scrooge McDuck! R.I.P Alan!
I Never Know that there's a game boy version
Same
We all need to ask Disney to make Alan Young a Disney Legend for being the voice of Uncle Scrooge for thirty years--"Mickey's Christmas Carol" was the first time he voiced Scrooge (who was playing Ebenezer Scrooge to Mickey's Bob Crachit and Donald's Fred--since Fred in the story was Scrooge's nephew by way of his late sister Fan).
Let’s Compare Ducktales
1: NES (1989)
2: Game Boy (1990)
3: Xbox 360 / Playstation 3 / Wii U / Windows (2013)
4: Android / IOS / Fireos / Windows Phone / TvOS (2015)
Whats the music remix at the start??
@@blackr3v193 Title theme from Ducktales Remastered.
@@MVC2fan1 thx
I can remember playing this game for hours on my NES!!!! Gotta blow the cartridge of all that dust!!!
Oh I had so much fun playing this on my Nes back in 1989.

1990 colorized
The game was published in 1990
im sorry ill edit that
_I'm sorry but that's a duck_
The ability to auto-skip cutscenes is also available on the PS3 version.
and windows and wii u ten xbox
I really hope to see a set or R-Type and Saint Dragon versions, especially the latter, it's such an underappreciated classic.
We have both games in our to-do list!
@@retrosutra That's fantastic ^^
I really love the lists you make, so looking forward to anything you post, especially these two ^^
oh man , this game is a master piece

The music is godly
エエエ!ドナルドダック好きなので、まだ あったんですね。
Man this game looks awesome. The music is amazing as well..
DuckTales Remastered is an expanded remaster. It filled in the plot holes the NES version left behind. The developer thought the NES version was too easy.
one of the best nes games
No
@@MrHomelessHobos yes it actually was. Graphics, gameplay, sound effects, music, was all too notch by nes standards.
One of the best licensed games
The original NES version is also available in the Disney Afternoon collection on Steam.
Hope Arcade1UP is still going to make the officially licensed handheld of this game.
Would’ve been cool if we got a new game based on the reboot, but still controlled like these games.
The remastered version is SO MUCH BETTER than the Gameboy and NES version. It has more atmosphere.
Well duh... It's logical.
Ew. Hell no.
@@Gameboy-Unboxings uh yes!
@@ZekalFour well shut up!!!
@@kevindavis296 What are you? Some breed of slowpoke and toxicroak?
Remastered so beautiful
Good thing i have this game on Xbox 360 before it got discontinued.
I’m sad cause this isn’t available on the App Store (remaster)
Omg this bring so many memories. My 30yo ass wanna cry rn. My favorite game ever !! And jungle book
I love it
Thank you! 👍👍🧡✌️
You're welcome!
:)
I remember playing the remastered one but now I can't find it on app store we're I originally downloaded it
how much money is the phone version if it's too much I might get the game boy version
Remastered deserves more credit
Are you aware of the mistake on your thumbnail? I just now noticed it.
how about an HD remaster of the Contra games?
Wayforward made Contra 4. They would be perfect for the job.
Why isn't remasted on the switch yet?
It should
I think it was because the license WayForward had with Disney expired. That was the reason why it also was removed from Steam's store.
@@GatoSoftSoftware Close, the problem here is the way licensing goes, it's actually Disney-Capcom, and THEN Capcom-WayForward. And less and less companies want to be the ones to approach Disney since their prices skyrocketed when compared to the old days. The deal is usually more favorable for the developer if Disney is the one approaching them.
@@GatoSoftSoftware didn't they get it back on psn, xbl, eshop and steam about 4 months ago?
@@gregwilliams4926 Yup, it's completely back, thankfully.
Muchas aventuras hay en Patolandia 👀
where is Shovel Knight?
DuckTales original version had trademark symbol, but in Game Boy version is no more. meanwhile remake is more wonderful than original.
Scrooge McDuck is defeating these Donkey Kong's.
"tHe AMiGA vERSioN iS coMPleteLY diFFEreNt!"
Remaster is under rated Game ♥️
Can you still play ducktales on mobile devices?
Yes but there will be black outlines on the sides cuz it wasn’t optimized for IPhone X alike displays
It was updated for 64bit though
Hit the bush... I know many secret of this game and ended with mountain of gold
It`s really similar to Shovel Knight
Other way around
@Question Mark Boi but pig yes, i know it
I have to prefer the nes version because on gameboy not only is everything zoomed in but the level layouts has been screwed up by flip flopping it into reverse or the rearange certain sections of it,i don’t know what capcom was thinking,
Now while the remastered versounds sounds very very cool( damn i wish that was the og version because as a kid i would,ve loved it)
BUT problem is all those fucking annoying cut scenes during gameplay,am mean why just fucking shut up and let me just play, damnit.
How do you get this on mobile
DUCKTALES PORTS! WOO HOO!

Tambien esta para Android
