Can we just all agree that Duck Tales remastered is an absolute masterpiece? It literally felt like yoy were playing an episode of the old duck tales cartoon show. Seriously what a Masterpiece.
I love both but the remastered one is such a huge improvement. Great to hear their voices but also the boss battles are more challenging than before and more interesting. Particularly Dracula Duck.
@@theelectricspiderman2841 Alan Young was the voice actor of Scrooge McDuck. Russi Taylor did the voice for Huey, Duwey and Louie as well as Minnie Mouse. And June Foray did the voice for Magica DeSpell. Young passed away in May 2016, Taylor died in June 2019 and Foray passed away in July 2017.
Zarduck changes: -the entire boss has been radically redesigned in appearance, now instead of being a very tiny statue, it now is literally so big that its entire body is in the background. You only fight his head as a result in comparison to his entire body. -can now cause stone pillars from the sides and top/bottom of the screen to come down in attempt to crush scrooge Magica despell: -Can now dissappear into the background where she attempts to fry scrooge into roast duck. He can avoid this fate by jumping onto the small platforms above. -she also can summon up to three large lazer rays to strike from the ceiling -she may now dissappear and turn into an assortment of mirrors. Break the one with her in it to stun her momentarily and allow you to sneak in a hit. -in her buzzard form, magica can now swoop down at scrooge. He can counter this by stomping her when she gets down close enough. King of the terra firmies: -the background has been redesigned to now have terra firmies spectating the fight. -now will occasionally retreat into the background and blow a horn to summon a stampede of terra firmies. -can also blow a red horn that causes boulders to drop from above. Snow monster: -the snow monster is now far bigger in size than the original, now you have to smack a rock into an ice block hanging from the cieling to ground him and make him weak to a hit. -can now jump up and stomp the ground, which can stun scrooge momentarily Lunar rat: -may now turn green at certain intervals and charge straight forward, along with rapid teleporting Dracula duck: -has a new updated design that somewhat resembles scrooge, the background has also completely changed to now include magica. -magica can now turn him into a dragon which spews fireballs at you -magica can now turn dracula giant, in this form: he occasionally sinks his teeth into the stage, his teeth act like spikes that you must dodge. -dracula duck can now split into hundred of bats the bombard the stage. -a new updated end cutscene where the nephews are shown being freed prior to chasing after magica and glomgold. Magica & glomgold chase: -Rather than just going straight up using a rope for one screen length. Now you have far more platforming to do to beat them both. On top of that, now you have to grab scrooges dime instead of some treasure
About the Lunar Rat. It isnt actually teleporting but rather using the holes in the backrground as tunnels. I didnt notice when i played teh first time
God damn that was a good game. I played it for hours. And I don't normally get emotionally invested in the game but just being reminded of it right now in affected me that's weird
13:03 Pretty cool how they made an entirely new music for the final boss. (I also like how it has some bits from the Transylvania track, because that's where he was fought in the original game)😉
The main issue with the remaster bosses that most of them are like ones from Mario games. You have to wait a good chunk of time to hit a boss at least once and sometimes only once.
13:33 Giant Dracula Duck reminds me of Darkwing Duck for some reason. Maybe it was an intensional reference, because Darkwing Duck was basically a spin-off to DuckTales.🤔
What an odd game to remake. They would be better off making a Darkwing Duck remake or a Bugs Bunny Birthday Bash haha. I remember playing both games a kid were difficult but cool
I wished the sega master system/game gear/8-bit version of castle of illusion had a remake similar to this so we can enjoy the fun instead of the stupid official 2013 remake of the sega genesis/mega drive/16-bit version of the stupid game we got for the love we have in the 90s.
In the remake you also have storage and bases. I would have added an underwater world, the pyramids in the desert, the American forest or a western canyon... for 10 levels, also taken from the series. I don't understand why a mutant mouse in space with cheese as treasure and then use it to summon Dracula? What if they were all gems or components of a magical metallic giant? It would make more sense
Man, I can't believe I actually noticed how the game 'cheats' in your favor during the Dracula Duck fight. During the bat swarm attack, notice how long the swarm stays at the top of the screen when he has trouble locating the safe point. It looks like the swarm is waiting for Scrooge to near that point before descending. Especially so when the very next repetition, the player goes there immediately, and the time seems much shorter.
Well since I’m an idiot and even tho nobody asked here’s the HP stat for the bosses: Zarduck: 5 Zarduck Remastered: 12 Magica: 5 Magica Remastered: 9 Terra Fermie King: 5 Snow monster: 5 Moon Rat: 5 Moon Rat Remastered: 15 Count Dracula: 5 Count Dracula Remastered: 7
16:06 DRACULA DUCK:no wait... i...cannot...no i can't die not again SCROOGE:of course it can drake von vladstone DRACULA DUCK: (DYING) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is NOT an improvement in terms of boss designs. This is flawed modern habit to include large sections of only being able to evade attacks during a boss fights. This reduces feeling of control and artificially prolongs the battle for easy bosses.
_Remastered_ is a perfect example of how *not* to remake bosses. Nothing sets me off faster than bosses who waste my time as a player with gimmicky rubbish where they're completely untouchable. I refuse to finish playing this game for that reason alone.

Facts!!
@@claragemheart581 I don't know if you've ever played the original but it's great also. But the remastered is just a classic.
They indeed did a great job! Amazing game!
I do like it a lot in a lot of areas, but I feel like it falls a little short by virtue of some environmental hurtboxes being hard to detect.
I'll never stop being impressed at how Jake Kaufman sussed out what that boss theme _wanted_ to sound like.
I love both but the remastered one is such a huge improvement. Great to hear their voices but also the boss battles are more challenging than before and more interesting. Particularly Dracula Duck.
It took me years to realize that the Lunar Rat uses the tunnels in the background and doesn't teleport in...
The more you know.
I mean to be fair, its a giant mutated moon that ate irradiated cheese, teleportation wouldn't be that unrealistic.

11:22 best line in the entire game, hands down

I guess WayForward (the game company that remastered this game) really just remixed the entire game and used new attacks.
By Shantae
Not surprised to find out that they developed Shantae, the music tracks sound very similar.
A perfect example of a remaster
The game is more a remake than a remaster
You spelled "remake" wrong

It’s weird how most of the bosses became bigger and much more different looking
Bigger = more intimidating
But doesn’t work
Spyro bosses: allow us to introduce ourselves
Oh shiiit
well you know The NES isn't the most powerful console
"it just keeps coming. it's like running from the IRS" - scrooge

I like how the remastered makes these 1 minute fights into longer and better ones
I’ve still got the Gameboy game of this you can’t beat the classics.

The main issue with the remaster bosses that most of them are like ones from Mario games. You have to wait a good chunk of time to hit a boss at least once and sometimes only once.
The main issue with the original bosses is that they are too short. Lunar Rat's fight takes about 30 seconds.

I didn't even know there was a remake! It looks pretty darn good 👍
9:37 wait a minute this song is familiar
Is of that gane
It's the Moon theme, if you've seen the rebooted cartoon they used it several times, and I am pretty sure that's why the whole moon plot existed.
Its Della's theme, aka The Moon Theme. There were lyrics written and Della Duck sang it in the recent Ducktales animated series
