Great vid's Deanpo, keep it up! I feel like they put something in the loot drop algorithm that affects what is dropped based partly on what NG+ you are on, I've had "lifes" where I get Hard Targets over and over, or something else, I had one run through where I got like 4 different, really good Orions and I never use them, then on my last one (NG+7 so far) I was getting starshards left and right, it just seems like there is something going on with the drops based either on level or possibly some other in game factor.
Everything is usually faster and better on PC. Your load times were within 30 seconds. On Xbox for me reloading saves it gets closer to a minute depending on how many hours I am into an NG playthrough. So for me to keep reloading saves on a boss 20 times would probably be close to 25 to 30 minutes. I am about 30 hours into NG14 now. Crashed twice within 2 hours of playtime last night. As it will get worse it kind of forces me to start a new game.
Thanks for the mention! You are spot on that certian weapons are part of a factions loot table and if you are willing to save scum around 10 to 12 times you eventually will likely get that item. ( sometimes sooner and sometimes later) The rarity and frequency of the drop improve as you level up. I have not really found loot tables to be associated with location... Maybe the weapons racks are... But even that seems to vary alot. To be honest I have my worst luck with chests in general. But that may just be my RNG luck.. Lol cheers... Can't wait to see you play with the upcoming difficulty settings... That is going to be a blast to watch
I also use serpentis for ship farming. build a base on serpentis 2 with a ship mod landing pad. take off and wait a few seconds, pick a good one, board, land, switch back, repeat. I end up with a bunch of eulgy's, prophecy's and sometimes enemies drop inflictors and starshards on board. no running on a planet surface necessary since va'ruun never stop spawning in that system.
I find Va'Ruun bosses drop Mag weapons, and energy weapons (Novalights, Inflictors, Starshards) for the most part. Spacers and Pirates drop a lot of the combatech weapons and Ecliptics drop the Allied Armaments weapons (Orions, Urban Eagles)
Crimson Fleet as well. Vlad has a blue advanced Magshot on his desk at the start of the game, and often you find inflictor s and starshards on the racks. It's my first stop at the start of a new life.
There is definitely a pattern to the save-scumming. After a few loads you can get a feel for what is possible or not. I think the pattern changes depending on the main server, because the pattern will be different on different days of playing in my experience. I seem to get similar drops for the different factions at certain locations, the next day I will get another pattern over the same locations and factions.🤔🤔
Bruv- I think that barrel on your Hard Target is what threw off your aim! And I just farmed Blue Starshards by Save Scamming the Razorleaf after raising it to the surface after the Mantis quest! High level though...
Other than that heresy against everything I believe in😅 YOU are 100% correct! You can predict what some Elites Loot table looks like I farm for literally hours all the time😅 You can sometimes change it up if its stale by reloading a slightly earlier save, by shutting the game off and coming back IRL hours later And sometimes switching up how you kill him! Bit NEVER pass on something cool and Fun even if its weak AF! SHAME, DEANPO, SHAME. SHAME
The reason the Shottys are on Varuun Loot tables is because you can convert them to EM weapons... So Novalights, Novablasts, Equinox, proves they drop Laser/EM weapons and also Mag weapons... Lastly anything that uses Light and Heavy Ammo Fuses So Particle Beam, Lasers, EM and Mag weapons. Then adjust for your Level, the Bosses level and other unknown factors... You are correct with every word that you say good sir!❤
YES SIR! I comment as Im watching, sorry if you answer or address after I say my piece! Marybeth is correct, you are correct. This video shows exactly what I see hour after hour after hour( Im on Xbox and load times are longer than my comments😂) Varrun are- Varuun armor dropping quality at your level. Weapons(sometimes armor) drop at the Elites level. Maxed Out depending on Weapon Type(like refined Equinoxes) These guys drop all manner of EM, Laser, and Particle Weapons! And ALL manner of Mag- Weapons A specific Elite will have its own current Loot table where the same ir similar weapons with similar perks will show up at a higher frequency. I see it every day on ALL Elites its just Varuun are more obvious ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Then I remember that when I go through unity it will be gone. Makes me wonder who getts the stuff we "leave" . i know it;s just a game , but still ... . Sad huh
I've just gone over to huygens V-b and I didn't come across any va'ruun, just ecliptic but I was finding starshards, inflictors and magsnipers, so maybe the planet/moon has a say in the drop? 🤷🏼♂️
If I take a varuun ship I see a ton of the grunts with novablast disruptors. Odd but their EM weapons seem to kill me not stun me 😂. I also used a disruptor modded on the workbench and it killed very well. Maybe if the EM damage is high enough it’s a heart stopper?!
I might be mis-remembering because the starfield wiki says the disruptor is non-lethal. But I swear I had one with focus lens and amplifier that put people down. Maybe I was just able to loot them while they were down?! I need to experiment tonight :)
Va'ruun is tough? I have had Andreja as a follower. She is like hot chocolate with warm cookies on Christmas morning. I understand what you mean but it is a clear demonstration of the inconsistency in the game. Don't know anything about f-n spiders but I bet Andreja's sister is more fun. Drum beat is better up close no scope. I use it with a laser sight.
Scope and crouching can give you increased damage with the right skills leveled up.
