Very different, very free. I go to a nursing home and do craft on a Tuesday morning, this will be such a good idea. As they are always saying it's not good enough, they judge themselves. I usually keep it simple, thank you so much for this wonderful idea. Love from qld.

I've made mini art journals and glue books before by cutting a magazine in half, but I'm impatient now to try your method because of the waterfall effect and freedom to make it a bit bigger. Jar with a lid Measuring cups and spoons (dedicated to art use, don't use your kitchen cups) Spoon or something to stir with Dust mask for pouring the chalk. It does create a dust which can be irritating to some people. 1/4 cup Powdered Chalk (Also called Cacium Carbonate or Whiting) You can buy it in bulk in bulk at your local ceramic supply store 6 tablespoons White PVA Glue (I prefer Elmers Glue All. School Glue is too thin) 2 tablespoons Linseed Oil (Boiled or raw is fine) Water Take care and merry Christmas 🎄

So, I've never made ANY journal for myself. Just as gifts, & I've sold a few. I work too slowly to make any money, tho.🙄 lol Boy! Do I understand the "doctor's appointments" & how annoyingly disruptive they are to the things we "want" to do.😏 I'm disabled with chronic nerve pain from a work injury. I just turned 61, Dec 9th, &... I'm American.😳 The last year, or more, has been rough, both personally & socially. I worry for my 5 grandchildren. Four which are very young women. The anticipation of what's to come for humanity... especially women... is emotionally exhausting.💔 I can't express to you just how much you've inspired me with this video & your art journal. It's really beautiful & emotive. I love what you've written throughout. The idea of just flowing intuitively is also very appealing to me.💗 Since your art has brought me to tears... I think it would be quite cathartic to create my own place to release all of the emotions, fears, & hopes that have built up in me.🥹 I love your energy, your vibe. You’ll see us on some holidays too, I try to be real here. So much of social media is air-brushed, which I don’t like, it makes the more fragile amongst us feel even more isolated. Yes, your elections were felt around the world and I must admit I cried for a few days and couldn’t sleep with the results. I try not to comment too much about it as people can be vicious and I just don’t need that on my channel, but believe me I hear you, I have a granddaughter myself, what happens in the U.S usually reverberates around the world. Thanks for clarifying, Vicki No, I do all the gesso on the cover + inside pages before I finalize the cover with fabric and stitching etc after the gesso is dry (usually a day later) then when I do an art page inside I just flip the cover over and it lays pretty flat actually & stays out the way. How many "recently-come-to-be" junk journal lovers and creators are like me .....remembering and regretting ALL THE PERFECT JOURNAL STUFF, we've thrown out, prior to reaching this stage in our life. 😢😂
@@journalpathways I’m the same don’t worry, I chucked out so much of my grandparents stuff, they’d kept receipts going back to 1940 and I binned the lot 😩 but I do find stashes every so often and use printable stuff if I can’t find what I’m looking for.
