Hi Nicole. Thank you so much & welcome. Appreciate you subscribing too, sorry for the late reply I was traveling back from Europe, I will post a video shortly, I only managed to upload 1 short whilst I was away! Take care :-)
@@natalieserrato2157 hi Natalie, you are very welcome. I love both types too. There are so many possibilities and the wonderful thing is EVERY one is different & uniquely yours! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment, it means so much ❤️
Thanks for this explanation. I make and use a fusion between the two and I've yet to find my tribe of folks, based in Australia, who do this. They're either into the art journalling scene (very artistic) or the junk journal scene which involves loads of stickers, pretty papers and butterflies (don't get me started on bloody butterflies). It's made me feel a bit of a misfit not fitting into one camp or another. Then i found this 😍
@@creativebeanart hiiiii, that is a huge compliment, thank you 😊 I do appreciate you taking the time to leave me this comment. I’m not in to the pretty stickers scene, I much prefer re-purposing old books, shopping bags, recycling wrapping, old doilies etc etc. then I’ll grunge them with rust dyeing, paints, salt etc. I am meeting so many people from Australia now & you’re very welcome here ❤️
It's always nice to have a proper explanation on the difference. I tend to think that a junk journal may also be an art journal just by the way you put yours pages together, the way you assemble it is already a form of art.... I'm in love with the color combination of your junk journal cover (ocre/brown and this blue/teal)!
@@isabellebernard7876 you’re correct, Isabelle. Junk journal’s can also be an art journal. Lovely to hear from you and thank you for always being so supportive, stay tuned to next week’s video, maybe we can meet up!!! ❤️
Thank you for the tour through your lovely journals. The debate goes on and on about "what i constitutes a junk journal". I myself make journals and love what you have shared here today. Question...will you go back and add anything to your junk journal or just leave as is?
@@sherelynwhite4130 ah! That’s the million dollar question, Sherelyn! I will probably go back through and add bits if I find something I think will go with it in colour or style. Very well explained! A simple and excellent tutorial! And I loved that you used the words “curated” and mindful” for the art journal. I see people showing “junk” journals that are perfectly made, with expensive decorative papers and stickers and I think they don’t know the meaning of “junk”!
