Absolutely - we need to heat to that temp (and above) all the time! Thanks for watching! You can use a scraper to get more than 99% out of the bowl, and this is exactly what happens in production, so no, it does not alter the formula as this is how every product gets made/calculated. Please enjoy some of my other videos where you’ll see the same method of dispensing and mixing gets used in multiple formulation examples.

I try like this video. Although I am not going to do the program till much later, I feel really confident in the IPCS. I also had two question. I have Triethanolamine as one of my pH adjuster. (I also have the citric acid powder) It is a viscous liquid and would like it to be thinner. Should I do the same method that you have. The bottle says to use form 0.1 to 1%. I also have a bottle of Vitamin E (dL-alpha tocopherol) and want to do the same. Although thinking about it now I probably should not. I would love a response.
Hi Zachariah, thanks for the feedback :) Normally, TEA gets used straight, although you could dilute it if you want. You would only need very small amounts as a pH adjuster - drop by drop as you see me do! You shouldn't dilute the vitamin E - it is oil soluble (so water won't work to dilute it anyway) and it is an anti-oxidant, so you should keep it sealed in the dark, straight, to get the best shelf life out of your raw material and use it as it is in formulas in small inputs. Hope this helps, happy formulating :)
I don't normally dilute TEA. You could treat it like NaOH and dilute to 30% but I have never used it that way... as long as it is still adjusting pH effectively for you it should work in theory. Happy formulating.
Water must be, at a minimum, demineralised. This may also be called deionised or distilled water. Demineralised/deionised/distilled water is normally available from hardware stores quite economically, and is usually packed in a sterile manner (contamination free). When purchasing this material, please be careful when dispensing and storing it, to make sure it remains sterile.
Hi, i'm just starting out and already purchased a preservative. So am wondering if I can use leucidal sf complete instead of the preservatives you are using? As long as the recipe totals 100% of course/ph etc. is workable with the leucidal. Thank you♡
Hi Christine there is a leucidal SF (not broad spectrum) and a leucidal SF Complete which is broad spectrum, the complete is broad spectrum but still needs to be used between 2-4% and warmed and mixed before use; and only covers a pH of 3-8 so be careful of drift if your product has an end pH anywhere near 7. I can't say its suitable as I don't know the formula or method and these can alter the suitability but the material itself is broad spectrum when used in the appropriate concentration in the appropriate conditions. You should still be conducting PET (challenge) testing to confirm any preservative use before large scale production. Hope this helps, there is not a simple yes or no answer with preservative selection, it always depends! Happy formulating :)

Hey its an amazing video. I had a query though. When we add ph adjuster q.s. doesn't the final quantity exceeds 100gm?? Wouldn't it effect concentration??
We’re happy to provide the full formula, ingredient, supplier, input and method details, please email us: info@personalcarescience.com.au and we can send you a link to access ALL our free formulas and reports. Happy formulating!
If you used our formula exactly as written including all materials, preservative and final PH, it would have at least 3 years shlef life but please test and confirm stability based on your manufacturing equipment if making it for commercial purposes.

While making the hydrating Mist, as the complete mixture cannot be poured out from the bowl, will it make a difference to our calculated formula?
