people keep saying "How many times we have to teach u this lesson old man?!" but never really grip on how much more impactful and valauble Kuze "Lesson" is to Kiryu about being a Yakuza We love Kuze Kuze is the Goat
Yeah, Kiryu taught Kuze what is to be a real man. And Kuze taught Kiryu what is to be a real Yakuza. and with that lesson, Kiryu went through the whole series like a dragon.
God damnit, just the music in Kuze's fights make them unforgettable. Pledge of Demon is up there with the only thing they fear is you in just epic metal "boss" soundtracks.
Kuze’s tattoo depicts Enma, the judge of hell. And he’s the one who “permits” Kiryu’s journey to the Shibaura Wharf, ending Shibusawa’s schemes and solidifying his destiny as a yakuza. The demon judge gave him passage through the gates of hell. What a kickass character.
That gasp when Kuze said "I guess these things have a way of working out." embodies the despair and desperation for Tachibana and sheer anger that every player felt towards Kuze and his men at that moment.
I'd swear the "one punch used to straighten out shits like you" refers to an old TV series the actor was in, and a scene where with a single punch, he both pushed a guy's jaw clear back into his throat and caused his head to do a full 180 instantly.
Bae's reactions are so good. She's shocked at the shocking parts, she legit cries at the sad parts (end of Makoto's story is gonna tear her apart...), gets hyped up when the characters get a head full of steam... I hope she gets through the whole series while she's still in Hololive, y'know? That's the fear with corporate vtubers and long game series, right? You want to see them finish but you know it's not a short drive to that end goal. If she doesn't finish before her time as Hakos Baelz ends, I'd follow her in whatever incarnation she goes for after so long as I'd get to see her react to the rest of the series. She better bring a whole box of tissues for the ending of 6, too. The direction of that final cutscene is so good...
"Why is he naked?" has gotta be the weirdest question to hear if you're a fan of the series. duh, why wouldn't he be? he HAS to throw away his top part
Awano is a Genshin Impact player who desires money and women Kuze is a boxer who wants to fight a lot Shibusawa is obsessed with power and Nishitani is the Joker
Fun fact, the stupid "Not giving up, always getting back to your feet" mantra Kuze repeats and lives by along with his theme, were the two things that got me through physical therapy after a brain aneyrism when i had to relearn to walk.
The "Kiryu doesn't kill" is actually a mistranslation, what is actually meant is that Kiryu doesn't kill in cold blood. He never sets out to kill someone, or decides to do so on a whim. It's always only in self-defense.
The guys in the helicopter shooting were self-defense. The countless civilians who will inevitably die from the giant fire and explosion in the middle of a highway are certainly not.
Damn, I probably shouldn't have read this. I haven't finished Yakuza 0. I stopped playing the main story once I unlocked the Cat fights. I'm just grinding on the Business campaign. I should probably continue the story so I don't get more spoilers
The first time you fight Kuze, he´s just an asshole. The seconf time he´s still kinda an asshole. The third time, you start to respect him somewhat, especially once you had dealings with the other family heads. Finally, you realize that Kuze is a True Gokudo, way better than the other scumbags. Or at least that is how I felt.
Kiryu does not kill (unless strictly needed.) And him drawing a line at the helicopter shooting rockets at him just goes to show the sheer self control of this man.
kuze fights prpperly showed kiryu's character development in this game. it did get annoying but everytime they faced each other, kiryu was a different person.
I don’t know if this is par for the course, but I watched an interview with a former Yakuza boss recently where he talked about what you do with the fingers from Yubitsume. Apparently he ate the 5 he collected over his years as a boss.
Update: Watched a DIFFERENT interview with another Yakuza boss and he elaborated, saying it’s different for each person. Some people bury them under trees, others keep them in a freezer, others display them or put them on the little shrine most keep in their offices.
Genuine question since bae always stream when it's night time for me so if she said something i didn't hear it, but did she drop kiwami or is she just super busy with work and conventions?
after the last kiwami stream, she's been very busy with her birthday live and holofes. and unfortunately after fes she got sick, so she haven't consistently streaming. The latest update that I remember in one of her recent stream is that, she's not gonna do gaming stream until she's feeling better.
Kuze's the reason I like the Yakuza Franchise. Any franchise that create such a compelling antagonist has my respect.

The demon judge gave him passage through the gates of hell. What a kickass character.
The tattoo is also missing a pinky which is a nice touch
He was also Kiryu’s test to see if he was worthy of everything that was going to follow in this life that he chose.
That gasp when Kuze said "I guess these things have a way of working out." embodies the despair and desperation for Tachibana and sheer anger that every player felt towards Kuze and his men at that moment.
I'm glad games and TV have helped me realize how much I don't want to be tortured.

Honestly kuze is a yakuza from a different time if he's like this when kyu was baby mode imagine him in his PRIME

tachibana did not deserve that

8:36 Wow, I haven't heard a laught like that on years.
Dat ARMS OF STEEL sync with the intro
Kuze was the only boss in the whole game to beat me- once in the first fight, and three times in the last. Made the whole thing more personal.
Tachibana's the hardest MFer full stop.
Straight up provoked a man into killing him to protect his sister.
HARD
Cmon man with the heli the explosion killed them, kiryu just shot them enough to make them lose control 😂
Love the edits. Yakuza Kuze 0 was amazing
theyre not pals, its just a kyodai teaching abother kyodai.

I usually bash repetitive boss fights but Kuze is the exception to the rule

You first believe the boss and lieutenants were good, then realize Kuze's the honorable one.

JAPANESE ARMSTRONG JAPANESE ARMSTRONG
Not once did I have the impression that I’d be fighting Kuze that many times lol. Now Awano? Thats a different story for me. 😂
Who's stronger, prime Awano or Prime Kuze?
In pure striking power, my money is on Awano.
In grit and determination, Kuze hands down.
awano is physically stronger, but kuze has better technique, skills, speed, and agility. basically similar to kiryu vs majima situation
I don’t know if this is par for the course, but I watched an interview with a former Yakuza boss recently where he talked about what you do with the fingers from Yubitsume. Apparently he ate the 5 he collected over his years as a boss.

AFAIK she didn't state she's dropping Kiwami, so most likely the latter. She did mention she liked Kiwami less than 0, however.
