The way he emphasizes the struggle in his voice is perfect for the scenes where he’s in distress, which suits both Nishiki and especially Ichiban perfectly. Having him voice someone who wears their heart on their sleeve like Ichi was genius.
In defence of Nishiki's aim, at 3 feet you have around a 4 or 5 degree angle to hit a human head. Which is kinda hard to hit when crying, shaking, and not looking at the target.

And last point! That kind of gun he uses is most likely smuggled into Japan and of lower (i.e. unreliable) quality so yeah!
Kiryu stealing Nishiki's car was the beginning of his villain arc.
Nishiki losing his car was when Yumi realized Kiryu was a sigma Chad and Nishiki was an omega cuck
And then everything got better and they lived happily ever after and nothing bad ever happened again.
And Dojima never took anyone's girl, and no one got shot.

I watched Yakuza 0 on a stream one time, and when it got to the end of this scene, someone in chat typed "And Nishiki was never heard from again"
