I’ve been missing Iceland a little extra recently so I’m so happy I found this!! And now I will be going through the rest of your Iceland playlist while I start trying to convince Marshall to let us go back 😂

Great video, Looks much nicer in summer it was so windy when we were there. Aw the horses, loved them. Also enjoyed the thermal bread. We had the myvatn variety. It was so good. It was pretty sweet. We didn’t go to the tomato place I think it was full and we didn’t have reservations. I would try all as well. lol. Loved the bread in Iceland.very unique place. Oh cool sheep’s. We had snow when we were at sljalandsfoss. Loved the hidden falls. Omg the stairs at skogafoss lol 🤮

We went in middle of September, and we think it was the perfect time. Weather could be cold, but there were times we didn’t need our jacket. If you ever go back, you should definitely try to get reservations for the tomato restaurant. It’s really unique! Those Skogafoss stairs are definitely intimidating.

@@MattandRachelTravel yes i have said I would go back in summer probably September or late august. Just put out the blizzard episode and I don’t want to do that ever again. I would like to get to the west fjords and also a bunch of other waterfalls we missed. Theres a cruise that goes from norway and hits 3 ports in Iceland. Might also be able to cover some on that but I just loved road tripping around iceland.

We will have to give it a watch soon! When we go back again, we hope to hit the west fjords too. There’s something magical about Iceland road trips.

Love all of your tips at places. As to saving money, what was the best cheapest thing to eat at gas stations? I’ll have my husband and I and two teenagers to feed I’m a little nervous 😂 what hotel did you stay at this night?

Hot dogs are definitely the cheapest thing you can get at gas stations, but if you get tired of those you can always get premade sandwiches. We got some meat, cheese, and bread (and peanut butter and jelly) from the supermarket to make our own sandwiches throughout the trip.
We stayed at Hótel Dyrhólaey in Vik, and they had a wonderful complimentary breakfast. (You can find footage of it at the start of the following video.) Hopefully that should help feed your hungry crew!
We hope you have a great time on your trip! Best of luck, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions. 😊

Iceland looks amazing. Nifty you can clip off basil for your soup.

Hello Matt how long it took to do all the falls and black sand beach.did you stay in Vic? I am planning to do this trip in two parts.

It took us a full day to do all the golden circle stuff and then drive to the black sand beach. It’s very doable to do in one day, but if there’s more you want to see on the way then you can split it into two days.
We stayed just ten minutes out of Vik in this hotel. ➡️ www.dyrholaey.is
