Although I am not part of the refugee community (I am a second-gen immigrant), I am an activist, and immigration issues as a whole are tied to my very being. I almost cried watching this video, though, because as an activist, what he is living now is the closest I see as a dream: the work will never be done, but the support will be forever unwavering. I almost cried! But this has definitely reinvigorated my love for activism.

It would be great if you could review "What They Meant For Evil" by Sudanese-American author Rebecca Deng. Great book! Rebecca was born in Sudan, which is present day South Sudan. She left her village as child during the Second Sudanese Civil war, grew up in the Kakuma refugee camp, and then came to the USA at age 15 with the Lost Girl and Lost Boy program. Today, Rebecca is an international speaker and advocate for girls' education, refugee/immigrant, Peace and democracy.
