Great video ! Its because of your videos we are bringing our sea hunt 239 down for a month to marathon. We have been coming to the keys for 20 years but this is the first time we are dragging down our own boat.
Almost the same distance as going to Bimini but you are close to land the whole time. I do recommend cutting the trip in half because on the way back we went straight shot and it did seem a little bit far.

I grew up on boats in south Florida and for the first time in my life i have my first boat a 20ft Shamrock open fisherman. What is a good way to link up with other boaters for trips like these. I just moved back to fort Lauderdale and don't really know anyone other than my Girl. We would love to make new friends and go on buddy boat trips. Any tips!
If you have Facebook that’s is a good place to start they have many boating groups you can join! Many of them even host events and get togethers. Start going out in your boat in your area and with time you will meet other boaters that share the same passion for boating as you have.
I like the gamefish because of the huge cooler in the back and the ultra for the bench in the back. The best way to make a decision is thinking about how much of the time on the boat will be spent or fishing(gamefish) or more family time and sandbars cause then you need a ultra
