I lived on a Boat for 5 years. In my opinion these boats are for the rich weekend boaters. I just see so many areas where doing repairs would be a pain in the rear end. Depends on which build you buy It’s just not Accessible in some areas Unless you cut into different parts of the hill of remove sections. Mechanics be making money. Don’t get me wrong it is a strong and beautifully made boat. But for the Regular Guy/Gal that wants to do 90% of his own repairs this ain’t for them.
Building boats inside out is great for production and quality control but I can attest just how difficult it is to effect repairs and replacements on seemingly simple systems 20 years later. I own a high profile US brand and replacing a macerator pump nearly drove me insane……………
hi sir/maam am victor tulod am laminator fiber glass technician 5 years and now am working here in spatial composite uae united arab emerates and upholstery sewing machine operator 8year i see video your very good company if have possible to work there this is my dream to work there:):):):)
Apparently very professional. But pls give your workers better masking protection when working with fibre material. Fibre in a persons lungs are fatal and non healing. Life's of people are the most important factor, more than any profit in any business.
I have extensive Emphysema and COPD. I am dieing from working with Fiberglass and working in an Iron Foundry. I don’t have anything to fix myself I just got a Grandson he won’t have me in 18 years 😔🖖🏼🇺🇸
These Vessels sell from $500k up to a million and they can’t possibly afford to equip their workers with 3m charcoal filter respirators for Vapor Mist protection!? They are working with Styrene base and MEKP and they are going to have Cancer or Emphysema and COPD for working with those masks 😔
No wonder it starts to leak after a while😅 I would think there be a lot more detail into making sure the fiberglass is sealed to the body it’s a comfort to know how it’s made now that you could be out in the middle of the ocean and all the sudden it falls apart😮
It's a mold, so they are essentially working "backwards". Top layer goes first (gelcoat), then the interior layers. Then pop it out of the mold when done.
It is scary watching all these workers that are around resin fumes all day, and all they have is a paper mask. You need a well fitting respirator that has organic vapor filters. If you can't afford to supply your staff with the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), then you need to sell your boats for more or take less profit.
Some of it is staff resistance. Note the masks not covering their noses, totally useless. But I bet they will be the first to sue for their lung cancer in later life. Polyester vs epoxy are very different considering in fume poisons. Polyester will burn your nose vs epoxy are often rated just to use in a ventilated space, nose mask required.

Bolsa cored boats and marine plywood construction is the strongest made Boat using Kevlar carbon fiber that prevents blistering and cat power with shaft and rudder and for smaller boats in 30 size should have bravo 2 Conrad drives
Still tying to understand how they can justify the cost of a 20 foot boat made of plastic and some stainless steel, to be $135.000+ when 10 years ago it cost 45-50K for the same piece of plastic.
Actually that is not true. I worked for Wellcraft Marine during the 80s and 90s. We ran tests that proved objectively that a laminate made using a chopper gun was stronger than hand laid laminates, especially in corners. Also, hand laid boats, unless each piece of mat had the edges torn, had sheer points where the mat pieces overlaid each other. The only real advantage to hand laying a boat is better control over thickness and weight. Also, anyone with a barn, some buckets, brushes, and rollers can build a boat. For mass production, as shown, chop guns are far more efficient.
please supply every worker with a fumes respirator!!...you need to look after your workers !.....paper masks and no good for fumes....also buy the best mask available...your workers are your business!....look after the workers and improve conditions in every way possible!

That's a poorly laminated hull. I didn't know boats in the tier of offshore were still constructed so badly. I guess long as it shines on the showroom floor to the trusting eye.
Yeah, this was cutting edge back in 1960. Boats have become stupidly expensive, but it isn't like we're being told, that it's mostly labor cost. That crew isn't making more $10 or $11 per hour.
Wow,good jobs.Your works look happyness.
Hai sodaraku video yang sangat menarik dan bermanfaat,,, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I'll stick with a outboard engine something easier to work on I'm no way rich 😅

Is that Gasoline/diesel fed?
Amazing boat,Good job,nice boat🚤🥰👍👍
anybody else itchy after watching this 😂
Para mí lo
In those hard to get places.
Why are they appllying fiberglass on top of the gelcoat layer ?
It's a mold, so they are essentially working "backwards". Top layer goes first (gelcoat), then the interior layers. Then pop it out of the mold when done.
If someone from the company read this would like to know what cam software is used in conjunction with Rhino.
Question for anyone. Why do they skimcoat with the chopper gun before they do the coring and or the 1708?
I want to know too
So you don't get print thru from the woven roven without the chop you can see print of material in the paint
1708? What is that.

USA vs Europe when it comes to safety for your workforce 😢

I worked in this field for 5 years and I had some lung issues even using the a proper mask, imagine using a paper mask 😅
Nah... I'm building a boat. The resin I'm using doesn't stink. I only use a mask to sand.
Epoxy does not create fume. A mask is only necessary for the dust if you are sanding.
Nice❤
Do you have CAD file?
This is vary good boat , I liked
I noticed a lot of the employees not wearing proper PPE..
Waw nice👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
what are the hair like strings they are spraying?
Bonito y importante q bueno
I love it good job
Waow...

Allot of forming, spraying cutting is done to make a boat.
Who is good at this profession to cooperate in opening a factory in Saudi Arabia.

am also working in fiber glass company in Cyprus 🇨🇾
Very impressive
How much the price?
What brand of boats are these?
It says it in the first 10 seconds of the video , "Sportsman"
Company name and Which county is it in?
Our company can provide ECR Glass spray up roving for boat making. Price good! Quality good!
👍👍👍
Anyone complaining about how much a boat cost should watch this video
This boat will run you around 495k....
it's all resin and glass fibre not that much other than electronics
💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👌👌👌

It's not plastic, is custom made fiberglass, and it's not 20 feet. This boat costs over 450,000.
Wow amazing make speedboat good cuality

Hope one day can build my boat based on my design channel...
Dont like the chopper gun at all . Makes 4 a heavey & weak lamination . And u can see that its resin rich.

Curious !!! How many of the production workers shown can afford the boats they are building??????????
👍👏
I am working for 2 years albania
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️
Look for a hand laid boat first, usually stronger and better built boat.

@@philkakid5617 Same, I worked Campbell and Nordic boats for years, they both had great reputations for quality.

Os vossos funcionários estão seriamente mal protegidos como é possivel dizerem que são Very professional ????
Very nice job. For their health, operators should wear more effective masks
Hello sir, my name is Jawhar. I have 7 years of experience in the boat industry...I am looking for a happy job in your country.
ten years after?
🍀🍀🍀
Y'all should have to go to prison for the under sub par masks you supply your workers with.
no wonder they cost so much
That's what I do for a living but salary is low
Now I think I prefer wood, or even steel.
☺️👍🇹🇷

Seems old school - how about some automaton
I am chopper spray man
I built boats at eliminator we wouldn't be caught dead using a chopper gun. Looks like this whole boat is chop. No thanks.
