I’ve followed you since your van days and still get a little excited every time I see you’ve posted something new. I admire your tenacity and very much appreciate your outlook on life. Many of us motorcyclists part ways with “keep the shiny side up”, but I will need you to accept the proper parting words or gesture here, though I don’t know what it is. Much respect and thank you for sharing your life with us landlubbers.
The remote in the cockpit for windless , easy run now cable , just put in any waterproof switch, doesn't need a maker's mark, you still need to go to the bow to set up, But as you say med mooring press a button will save you alot of running .

I notice your library is pretty big at least for the small space it has. Do you have any books you’d recommend to the common folk to to those who want to eventually get into your type of life style?
Thank you. If you’re wanting to get into sailing I started with “the elements of seamanship” by Roger Taylor. Great little practical book. But if you want a great adventure book Endurance by Lansing is top notch.
My brother has been living on a boat similar to yours, an Alberg 37. The point you make about it being a lot more work, and the stresses of being at sea…he’s finding it’s too much for him. He’s 50, so not so old, and a very experienced sailor, but he’s finding that devoting a lot of his energy to meeting basic needs is taking away from the energy he has for other things that are important. By the way, I love your videos in your commentary. Always entertaining and often insightful. :)
I would give my right nut to live that life style, to bad 25 years ago i suffered a motorcycle accident. that left me a quadriplegic, besides i have phobia of sharks, so I think because I have a phobia of sharks' I'll be the one out of a hundreds to get eaten, ) :
